In Saskatchewan you can kick up your heels and party-on now that pandemic restrictions have lifted. But maybe you’re of the camp that would prefer to keep things low key. Your introvert engaged friends - those who find socializing draining and prefer life in smaller, more intimate groups - could be looking for a way to celebrate the last stretch of unmarried life with their closest friends without jet-setting to Mexico or lighting it up in Vegas. Not only will your bank accounts thank you, but you can easily take advantage of some of the fantastic things to do in the Land of the Living Skies. Let’s look at some low-key ideas for your Bachelorx* Party! First off, if it’s your party, please make sure that whomever is planning it knows that you want something small. If
you’re the one planning the party, check with your friend and see what they would prefer. There can be a tendency to “Go Big Or Go Home” with these gatherings, but if the preference is for something small, make that known. Your low-key party could start with traveling to one of the province’s unique locations or glamping sites. There’s the Alive Sky Lodge’s BINcredible Luxury Grain Bin in Rosetown (see our interview with Alive Sky Lodge on page 16), oTENTiks in Grasslands National Park, or you could book a yurt at Nesslin Lake near Big River. Any of these locations would provide a truly unique getaway for you and a few of your closest friends. Instead of heading to a big centre, you can find some quiet in nature and enjoy camping without having to set up your gear. Continued on pg. 10
