CHINESE EGG CHILLI RECIPE
I tried this dish for the first time and believe me, it was just awesome. It can be prepared easily at home. This egg recipe is served as starter or as a side dish for dinner and lunch.
PREPARATION TIME - 10 MINUTES COOKING TIME - 10 MINUTES SERVE FOR – 4 PERSONS
INGREDIENTS 4 large boiled eggs 1 tsp finely chopped garlic 1/2 tsp finely chopped ginger 3 tsp chopped green chillies 1 tsp tomato ketchup 2 tbsp soya sauce 1 tsp chilli sauce 3 tsp cornflour 4 tbsp oil
Salt to taste
PROCESS Cut eggs into halves, sprinkle salt and 1 tbsp cornflour on the eggs. Heat Oil in a wok over a high flame, add the eggs and cook for ten minutes carefully till they turn in golden brown. Drain on an absorbent paper and keep aside. In the same oil, add the garlic, ginger and green chillies and stir-fry for a few seconds. Add tomato ketchup, soya sauce, chilli sauce and salt. Mix the cornflour in 1/2 cup of water. Add to the mixture and cook for 1 to 2 minutes. Add eggs. Garnish with sliced spring onions and serve hot.
