Campie Christmas Fair, Saturday, 10am to noon. Campie Christmas Fair, December 4, 10 to noon
Yes we’re almost there. Only a few days left to our Christmas Fair, which is being held once again at Campie School. We can promise you a fabby morning with kids’ crafts (including paint a plate, decorate a candle), face painting and more. You can grab a bargain at our toy, book, DVD and uniform sales and even pick up some Christmas presents as we have some magnificent stalls selling a fantastic selection of gifts. Of course we have some of the best homebaking in the northern hemisphere as well as teas, coffees, mince pies and maybe even a glass of mulled wine. Donations Please bring in all your donations of books, toys, DVDs (no videos please) and school uniforms any time this week. Bottle Tombola We are planning a bottle tombola this year so please bring in ANYTHING in a bottle – wine, beer, shampoo, sauces, fizzy drinks, soft drinks. We will also try a Christmas hamper, so again bring in anything to fill this.
etting started Homebaking
Last but not least, please bring in all your delicious homebaking on Friday or Saturday morning before 9am. Once again, thank you all for your help and see you on Saturday!
School Calendars The children will be decorating their calendars in their classes ready to go out at the middle of the month. For new parents, all the school holidays and in service days are clearly marked on a sheet of card, which is customised by your child. So for the small sum of £1 you can get an original piece of artwork to hang on the fridge and see at a glance all the important information about Campie School.

The Christmas Raffle Please send any raffle tickets and cash back to the school with your child, or hand them in at the office. If you have any unsold raffle tickets, please hand them in as well so that we can try and sell them on Saturday. Don’t forget we have some fabulous prizes including a family portrait with a CD of photos, lunch at the Birdcage, a dinner for two and two tickets for a show at the Traverse Theatre in Edinburgh. Please do your best to sell as many tickets as possible. The draw will be held at 11.45 at the fair on Saturday.
We Need Your Help. The fundraising Committee is working hard to put on a variety of fundraising and social events, but we are struggling for helpers. Please think about helping out at our up and coming events. It would be great to have enough helpers so that everyone could work half the event. If you can help on Saturday, please email campieparentcouncil@yahoo.co.uk or send your name, address and contact number into the school with your child. Helping out can be really good fun, and we are only asking people to give up an hour or two of their time a few times a year. You don’t have to get any more involved than that (unless you want to!).
Kilts and Longhis Ceilidh The ceilidh was a great success and everyone seemed to have a fantastic night. All of our Burmese guests had a great time and did a fair bit of dancing. Thank you to everyone who attended and to everyone who organized this wonderful cultural event. An extra huge thank you to Stan Andre, who prepared such a wonderful feast. We really did ourselves proud and gave Say Hei a night to remember.
