Message from the president

“This month we had the honor of having our LTG visit our virtual board meeting. We discussed how we can transition our club into virtual service and ways we can help our community when we return to school. We also discussed the issues in our clubs and the strenghts and how to make us better for the next year. We are still trying to think of better ways to serve each day, with ideas from the district, such as making dog toys, face masks, and using FreeRice, to give us a guideline and help us out.

Message from the editors

“It felt really great to talk with our LTG and get to know her a little more. We talked about our roles in our club and our concerns about membership and funding. We also talked about how we could strengthen our board and fulfil our roles during quarantine. I look forward to achieving my goals for this month and finding different things to do for service during quarantine!

-Elena Tekola “It was great to meet with our LTG this month and everything said with the encounter we’ve been taking strongly into consideration! We’re doing all that we can do continue doing service safely and continue to work towards our goal!

LTG VISITATION

As the school year is approaching, our LTG visted our board by arranging a time to all meet via online and discuss about several topics. We spoke about things that we can work on to better our club and things we can do to make community service more entertaining during quarantine. We’ve talked about certain aspects of our club that we wish to improve on and that we will now aim towards to better them! Everyone on the board enjoyed the visitation and agreed that it helped motivation to work even harder and really inspire them!

FREERICE & FUTURE EVENTS Due to the fact that we cannot participate in service events that we usually partake in, we’ve decided that members can use the application ‘FreeRice’ in order to gain hours.

D28S is having two full weeks of services during the month of July! This is only a small overview of the event so we encourage that you look at the offical D28S instagram!! @d28sseamonkeys
