Message from the president

“Ever since quarantine began, our home club has been a bit quiet, but we are still doing the best we can to continue service to the community. We spend a lot of time preparing for when the school year begins, like what service we could do, and how we can bond together as a club and become one even when we’re all social distancing. We have plans and are prepared to be as careful as possible while still helping others. We have been doing service events that the district provides, and we recently did a board bonding exercise by a cooking video. Hopefully this will promote Key Club to our friends over social media, and continue to help us grow our member count over time.

Message from the editors

“Service In July reminded me of how fun it was to do service and participate in events, so for that I’m glad our divison, D28s, gave us this opportunity. We also wanted to let our members know what we’re doing in quarantine and uploaded a baking videoon our instagram, check it out!” -Elena Tekola “Our district D28s held two whole weeks of service where we were able to do things for our community while staying safe during this uncertain time. It was refreshing to do service once again. Our board also took the time to create a cooking video without looking at a recipe! With the new school year coming so soon, I’m anxious to see how things will turn out, but I’m sure that we will achieve great things still!” -Aaliyah Andrade

D28S SERVICE WEEK

D28s held two whole weeks filled with service projects that were avaliable to do at home! Many people enjoyed it and it was a great opportunity to get in touch with fellow members! “Joining the live streams on Instagram made making cards and dog toys very fun since I got to do it with our ltg and other keyclub friends. Freerice app was great knowing I was helping a large amount of people in need. I would participate in events like this again. Making paper cranes was really nice and having an excuse to go out and walk is even better. I would participate in weeks of service again.”-Kimberly Agraan “Honestly, I felt refreshed and happy to participate in this. Though, I wish I went out and cleaned my neighborhood but fortunately my neighborhood does their best to maintain and help the environment. Making cards and dog toys kept me productive and made me want to work harder because I want those receiving these to have something meaningful and feel appreciated!”-Elena Tekola

BAKING WITH DHSKC! As a bonding exercise, our board decided to try baking! We challenged ourselves by not looking at any recipes at all and filmed ourselves while doing it. You can watch the full video on our instagram!
