Hello again evryone! This month has been very good for us, in which we had some of our favorite annual volunteer oppurtunies! It was so great being able to see all our members having fun at these events. This month has been very busy for us officers as we start to prepare even more for RTC. -Aaliyah Andrade 2019-2020 Bulletin Editor

Word from President
I think we did really good this month, we had a lot of members sign up for events. Along with RTC preperations, we are also parnering up with SECTA in the Thirst Project, which will be mentioned more later on in this newsletter. I’m really pleased with how much we’ve accomplished this month! -Elijah Maure 2019-2020 President “Volunteers do not necessarily have the time, they just have the heart.” -Elizabeth Andrew

Lucky Duck This event was held on September 20th at 2480 E. Tompkins Ave. Ste. 222. Here we helped with the removal of many of the receipt stickers on the bottom of the ducks that are used at a very popular event at Wet n’ Wild. The event coordinators were very nice and cared a lot about their volunteers by giving us some water and making sure all of have left before they did. With the amount of people who came by to help, the job was done very quickly meaning that everyone had more time to spend their Saturday evening! “I really enjoyed my time at the event. I felt safe and it was really fun to go to. We were positioned at several stations and were in charge of replacing the bottom receipt stickers for Wet n Wild. To make the event more enjoyable, our officers made a competition of who can finish their station the quickest.” -Cathleen Leonor

Greek Food Festival This event was held on September 28th and 29th, at St John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church : 5300 El Camino Rd. Those who went were helping set up and serving food, along with anything else that needed assistance. This festival is very popular in the Valley, being inspired by Greek culture. It’s a very big event with many activities of people among all ages to enjoy! Although many volunteers were left to ponder on what to do next when the job was done so early, they were glad to have fun with all the activities “I enjoyed my time working at the souvlaki station! It was fun meeting new people and directing something for the first time! I would recommend this event” -Bryce Cabatu
