Inworldz Dreamz & Visionz Festival 2011
Forward to Inworldz Dreamz & Visionz Festival Book As the founder of Alexanderia‘s Kingdom my arts related venture, it was with great pleasure and just a little trepidation when I announced the organization of an arts festival to be held in the virtual world of InWorldz. This was to be, by far the largest virtual world’s art festival to be held in that nascent grid. It had another distinction of which I am very proud, a beautiful blending of two virtual worlds, Second Life and Inworldz. However, I was both fortunate and astute in the selection of Quadrapop Tree to be my co-chair for the event. With her by my side through each phase of the festival, from our initial plan through to the gala award ceremony, I knew it would be a stunning success. It had been my dream since I had arrived there to hold an art festival. Since the start of my virtual life, the artistic creations produced by so many wonderful artists, have managed to enthrall me almost on a daily basis. I immediately begin my collection which was shown in a private gallery on my Second Life SIM. That sense of awe and wonderment has never left me and when I begin Alexanderia‘s Kingdom in Inworldz, it intensified my desire to share with the residents of that grid and led me to nurture the idea for this festival. The art festival was in the planning stages for over one year, so that when it was executed the event went off perfectly with zero to no lag and no crashing of the four SIM’s. We had determined in the early phase of our plan to make the „Inworldz Dreamz & Visionz“ festival a juried event, with prizes to be awarded to the selected first and second place winners on each of the four SIM‘s. We were honored with the selection of three men who have done so much in their lives to create and promote the arts and virtual worlds. The three gentlemen performed their service with distinction and honor and we are thankful for their contribution. I am also thankful for the team and their assistance in making this so very successful. I am in awe at what they were able to do. And lastly the artists … they came to the festival with GREAT expectations and as I watched them it was easy to see that the work submitted exceeded not only theirs but mine as well … each piece reached the most endearing vision of the artist as you will see in the pages of this book. Thank you all for your contributions in making this festival all that it was. I will treasure the memories of what transpired. I hope you will to as you page through this book. Jeri Rajha

Inworldz Dreamz & Visionz Festival 2011
IWz Dreamz & Visionz Festival Award Ceremony By Nazz Lane It was with anticipation when the assembled crowd of avatars gathered around the stage on Sunday evening, the 20th of November, in the virtual world of Inworldz. They were eager to hear the announcement of the winners of the 2011 Inworldz Dreamz & Visionz Festival. The juried contest had begun a week earlier and was about to come to a completion for the 30 plus virtual world artists who were vying for top prizes to be awarded at the ceremony that was about to commence. With the team and judges on stage, festival organizer Jeri Rajha opened the ceremony with a brief statement and then introduced the team responsible for the event. “Thank you for coming this afternoon. It has been an exciting several weeks from watching the art being created to completion and then the enjoyment of the IWZ performers. It has been a very enjoyable Art Festival and I am pleased with the attendance along with the beautiful and brilliant entries of all the artists. Please let me introduce the people that made this wonderful event possible beginning with Quadrapop Tree, festival co- chair who has done a tremendous amount of work for the festival, bringing her organizational skill and her building skills to make this place look beyond the extra-ordinary. Next, Sunbeam Magic, for all her undying efforts in acquiring the best in entertainment IWZ has to offer and Alizarin Goldflake for the lovely stage and other builds throughout the SIM’s. Zauber Paracelsus for his policing of the scripts here that resulted in a very efficient event and Miso Susanowa as always for her great graphic designs. If any of you have Googled IWZ Dreamz & Visionz Art Fest you will find it fills many pages of your computer. This is all thanks to a very competent publicist Nazz Lane and his counterpart Briawinde Magic. Nazz is a wonderful friend from Second Life and has been extremely supportive of my endeavors here at IWZ. And Last but not least the judges, today two of the three are with us today. Jayjay Zifanwe - School Manager, Physics University of Western Australia (UWA) is the owner of the UWA presence in Second Life and Velazquez Bonetto, Owner of the Diabolus Artspace and CARP.

Unfortunately, McCabe Maxsted was unable to attend the festivities today. I do not think it needs to be said the judges had an extremely difficult job in choosing winners from this Art Fest. But I am so glad we had such well-versed people in the virtual arts to view the works just making this Art Fest that much more credible and more desirable for the future. Also a major thank you to Cephus Twine, he wrote the script for us for the IWZ Dreamz & Visionz Tip Jar for the artists that allowed us to show a running total SIM wide of collected tips. And speaking of totals we reach far beyond our goal thanks to all of you. Our goal was 100,000 Z‘s and we did surpass that and all those proceeds do go to the artists as you will learn shortly. And one last thank you before we proceed with the winners of this Dreamz & Visionz Art Fest, my many thanks to the founders for the use of the IWZ event SIM’ - many thanks to Elenia Llewellyn, Legion Hienrichs, and Tranquillity Dexler. One last note, after the announcement of the winners this Great ART Fest will proceed until Tuesday night, November 22nd, so please enjoy all the art work while it is up.” With her statement and introductions complete she turned things over to Quadrapop to announce the festival winning entries. “Thank you Jeri and thank you all and every one of you wonderful creative artists and performers who have made this Festival possible … without you it would simply not exist. Now some of you will know that giving out scads of money to artists is something Award Ceremony

Inworldz Dreamz & Visionz Festival 2011
I have been involved in before along with JayJay here, but I‘ve only ever filled in for him before this … this time it will be on behalf of Jeri and myself. We chose a winner and second place form each SIM, not easy! The four second place winners, one for each of the four SIM’s and are as follows; On SIM D, Xzavia Yifu and Zauber Paracelsus for their entry, ‘It‘s About Time’. On SIM C, Alizarin Goldflake for her entry, ‘Alizarin Lakes’. On SIM B, Julia Hathor for her entry, ‘Hope Grows’. On SIM A, soror Nishi for her entry, ‘Villa soror Nishi’. Now the prize money will be distributed by Art Festival shortly, after all the winners are announced. With the amount raised so far she will be able to give each of the Second Place winners: 2500 Izzies. Now onto the first place winners; On SIM D, someone we are all familiar with built something imposing and so for ‘Giant Puppet’, Ub Yifu will be receiving one of the 5000 Izzie first place prizes. On SIM C, a piece that took my own breath away and ended up taking up a lot of my hard drive in photos, Nickola Martynov and Micheil Merlin for ‘A Space for Visions’. On SIM B, a much quieter, more contemplative piece caught the judge‘s eye and another one that I ended up taking a lot of Award Ceremony

photos of the winner, Teal Freenote’s ‘Gift of the Goddess’. On SIM A, the winner is unfortunately not with us today but this piece was definitely a very popular one and a stand out piece with all the judges, for her piece, ‘AXIS of AWESOMENESS, Epic Toys’ la Toymaker‘s imagination has won her one of the 5000 Izzie first prize. Art Festival will be around to pay the winners their prize money, but not only that, each and every build here will receive a share of the remaining money raised and with the amount we have it will be 1980 Izzies each build.” With that, she concluded the announcement of the winners. Congratulations to Jeri, Quad and team for their hard work in pulling this all together and to the artists for their creations.
