Hello. My name is Nick Mattan. People seem to like me because I am polite and rarely late. I like to eat ice cream and really enjoy a nice pair of fresh socks. I first got in touch with graphic design right before I graduated as a bachelor in communication, during my internship in a graphic design office. It turned out I liked it a lot more than I had thought I would. I developed a keen interest in branding, design and typography. You might even call it an obsession. These days, to some people, graphic design may just be about combining images with text, but –to paraphrase André Breton- it’s more about visualizing a galloping horse on a tomato to me. A real graphic designer is able to mould an idea into a form and thus create meaning, without being too obvious. In experimenting with perspectives, photography, structures, typography, lines and transparency, I try to create a visual language of my own. I can be quite chaotic as well as a roaringly silent Today I feel like roaring.
