The Stone Age, Hunter/Gatherers
Corporate Events
Suitable for ages 7-11
Dorothy Garrod, a 1920’s archaeologist delivers a lecture on Stone Age findings from her recent excavation. Your children will explore two ancient clans of Britain through Stonge Age art, dance and interactive storytelling. By learning about ancient burial practices, they will uncover a story from the past ‘The Swan Woman’.
Medusa (A timeless travelling tale) Suitable for ages 7-11
Our telling of Medusa is fast passed, energetic and highly interactive, incorporating elements of music, clowning, storytelling and puppetry to bring this classic tale to life. To offer a unique re-telling of this notorious tale, Splatt Theatre have combined both Ovid’s ‘Metamorphosis’ and The Ancient Greek’s ‘Medusa’, making this an excellent introduction to both verse and classical mythology. The children will also participate in a Theatre Workshop. Here they will get to meet the actors and explore the plot, characters and themes of the play in greater detail. ‘The hissing snakes her foes more sure ensnare, Than they did lovers once, when shining hair.’
Geppetto’s Puppet Circus Suitable for ages 4-11
‘Roll up, roll up for the greatest show in town… Geppetto’s Puppet Circus’ – Adapted from Carlo Collodi’s much loved story ‘Pinocchio’. Your children will make their own hand puppets learn to move like Mannequins and help bring to life the magical tale.
Tailor Made Storytelling Experience and Mini Performance Suitable for ages 4-11
Our storytelling performances are tailor made around your school and we can focus on specific themes and events to achieve this. Splatt Theatre loves bringing characters from children’s books to life from ‘Alice in Wonderland’ to ‘Winnie the Witch’. We also offer theatrical and creative workshops to complement the experience.
