The ballet training follows the method taught by the Royal Academy of Dance. Dress comfortably and dance in either bare feet or dance shoes. In this class you will be introduced to a range of techniques and you will be able to choose the one (or ones) most appropriate for you. This is an ongoing class to enhance your personal practice. The techniques that we use include breath work, pranayama, present moment awareness, mantra, guided imagery and visualisation, mindful yoga movement and sound healing. PILATES Beginners Course These classes will introduce Pilates principles during the first session and then will cover basic Pilates exercises. NB: Certain health problems could preclude participation in the classes. Beginners/Improvers Basic exercises with more advanced options for those who have been studying Pilates for longer. Pilates principles will be reviewed in the first session. Improvers Suitable for those who have been at beginners’ level for more than 3 terms or by agreement with the class teacher. The programme offers a mixture of basic Pilates exercises with progressions to take students up to intermediate level exercises. Intermediate and Advanced These classes are suitable for students without injuries and illnesses and by agreement with the class teacher.

PILATES ON THE BALL Rachel Luck 11 weeks - last class on 29 March Half-term 16 February The exercise ball is a wonderful Pilates tool for improving core strength and developing the abdominal and back muscles. Exercising ‘on the ball’ – which continually moves slightly beneath you as you work – can also increase overall flexibility and mobility. And it’s such fun to do! For the over 50s

Positive Movement

Wednesdays 14.00 – 15.00 This programme is based on yoga principles and is designed specifically for people with limited mobility caused by ageing, injury or illness. Each session includes 1 hour of gentle movement and is followed (or preceded) by time to chat over tea and biscuits. Carers welcome too! COST £4 per session.

Singing Group Alternate Tuesdays 14:00-15:00 An afternoon of song and fun for those with Parkinson’s and their carers. Followed by tea and biscuits.

Rosehill Singers

Mondays 14:00-15:00 followed by tea & biscuits. For anyone who loves to sing, this friendly group meets with its own musical director to sing popular songs around the piano. Tea and biscuits follow with time to chat. COST £3.50 per session.

T’ai Chi for Falls Prevention Mondays 12:30 – 13:30

T’ai Chi is an ancient form of gentle stylised movement well known for its ability to strengthen leg muscles, improve balance, still the mind and enhance general health. COST £5 per session 16
