A photographer’s look at earthen architecture.
This booklet is the outcome of a collaborative work with the Belgian photographer Pierre
Buch, within the framework of the European project Terra [In]cognita. Earthen Architecture
in Europe. It gathers 60 photographs – 20 of them being part of a travelling exhibition – of
traditional and contemporary architecture taken throughout France, Italy, Spain and Portugal,
the four project partner countries. Pierre Buch delivers his own look, of a man sensitive
to material, shapes and graphic lines of earthen architecture: a way to discover or
rediscover this material of the past, looking ahead to the future.
