According to Jupiter Research, almost 20% email addresses contain typos, syntax, domain or other errors.
NOT YOUR FAULT but you may still get the boot from some of the top ESPs, especially Gmail, which is the big giant.
Well the only solution you have really is to clean your lists and use list hygiene services to ensure that BAD EMAILS don’t get your mailing servers blocked/blacklisted.
This is, unfortunately, the only solution you have if you have lists that need cleaning. Also, the fact that emails naturally die because people change jobs, stop checking their inboxes etc. adds to the problem.

Removes almost all hard bounces. eHygienics: Email list hygiene provider specializing in removing bounces, bait, protesters, litigators and all perceivable threats from small to large email databases. LeadSpend: Remove harmful email addresses before you mail! BriteVerify: This is a company that has partnered with GetResponse, this is a bit more expensive than most of the other services. ListWise HQ: Again, almost the same thing as BriteVerify but a little cheaper.
Using these services you can reduce the number of bounces and spam traps on your lists (if any) and improve delivery rates.
Even with these email addresses cleanings though, it is virtually impossible to clean the list 100%. A few bad emails will always make their way into your subscriber lists.
