Creating business-friendly and competitive local government units (LGUs) is one of the major thrusts of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) as we tend to push our standing within the international competitiveness.

Republic Act No. 11032 otherwise known as the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018 states that the standards in processing business and non-business transactions in the government as guide to reduce the requirements and processing time of all applications to streamline current systems and procedures of government services paralleled to section 16 of the Local Government Code of 1991 stating that local government units shall pursue undertakings to enhance economic prosperity.

Hence, the role of the DILG is to monitor the compliance of LGUs with the systems and procedures posted by this Act. All of the cities and municipalities of the Cordillera are compliant with the revised standards.

As of December 2019, below is a number of business establishments registered and total amount of collections from business taxes, fees and charges.
