POINTS TO PONDER The photographs of the Safety week kept pouring in even after the publication of the last Rohanite Insider. We felt it was necessary to acknowledge their efforts as well. This is one reason for rejoicing... well, there is a bigger reason for rejoicing as well. The Rohanite Talent Track this time got a 93% response. We are sure that the rest of the 7% will also fall in line in the next cycle. To all of us it is as important as voting... and 93% turn out of the ballet is not bad.... not bad at all....... The system indeed has taken roots now...Cheers to all of us!!!

41st NATIONAL SAFETY WEEK Rohan Mithila 41st National Safety Week was celebrated at ROHAN MITHILA, Pune. During the program, safety flag was hosted by the Project Head. After flag hosting safety pledge was taken by all staff & workers. Demonstration for erections of Scaffolding was also performed during the program. Fire fighting training was provided to all staff and workers. During the program the stalls for safety material were organized for staff and workers. A Quiz Competition and short Written Test was conducted for all. Winners and Safety Performance Awards were given away at the end of the program.

41st NATIONAL SAFETY WEEK Hindalco Township Project Singrauli 41st National Safety week was celebrated at Hindalco (Township), Singrauli. During the program speech was given by Mr. Nirmal Sinha, Mr. Pawan Kumar, Mr. S.N. Tripathi, Mr. Ankur Gandhi. The speeches were followed by Drama & Musical show, performed by employees. Felicitation of the prize winners of the Quiz competition and the performance etc. that followed, concluded the program on a high note. The program received a very enthusiastic participation.

ARCHITECTURAL WONDER Fundamentfuss-Stuttgarter-Fernsehturm The Fernsehturm Stuttgart (TV Tower Stuttgart) is the world's first TV tower built from concrete (and prototype for many towers of that kind all over the world). It is located on the "Hoher Bopser" hill in the southern Stuttgart district of Degerloch. After a construction period of 20 months it was placed in service February 5, 1956, by Süddeutscher Rundfunk (today: Südwestrundfunk – SWR). The tower broadcasts several public FM radio stations and transmitted the ARD TV network's analogue service until 2006. The digital television services have moved to nearby Fernmeldeturm Stuttgart, which also broadcasts private FM radio stations in the area. Although controversial at first, it quickly became a well known landmark of Stuttgart and tourist attraction. From the two observation decks there is a view of Stuttgart, from the forests and vineyards in and around Stuttgart to the Swabian Jura and the Black Forest. • Engineer: Professor Dr. Ing. History • 10 January 1954: Start of construction • 5 February 1956: Inauguration • October 1965 until December 1965: Extension of antenna, hence today the tower is 216.8 meters tall.
