9512 :: A MOSER GILT AND ENAMEL JUG, TRAY, AND MINIATURE CUPS
(Late 19th Century)
The jug and miniature cups are decorated in polychrome enamel fronds and gold trim. A similar green crystal tray very finely decorated in elaborate enamels of a different motif is included.
Tray measures 9 inches in diameter, decanter is 9 x 4 x 4, and each cup is 1.75 x 2.25 x 1.5 inches.
Very good condition. There are no chips, cracks, repairs, scratches or areas of heavy wear.

Three different piece types, the tallest being 8.75 inches, each having a colorless crystal bowl decorated in fired enamels and raised on a brilliant green or cut and polished panel stem; two are attributed to the German maker Theresienthal.

Each of the three nice, large cranberry bowl goblets is raised on a bulbous blown stem with applied prunts covered in gold. The bowl and stem are both decorated in swirling, colorful enamel oak bough and accented by art glass acorns with gilt cupules in high relief.
Each measures 8 x 3 inches.

Each cranberry art glass goblet is decorated in Moser's well-known gilt and polychrome enamel design displaying Islamic influence. The bowl of each is raised on a flaring stem having concentric rings in elegant gilding, and applied prunts decorated in gold with white enamel beading.
Each measures 7 x 2.75 inches.

The bottle-form vase is shaded from a rose tint base to green at the rolled top rim and decorated in Mughal influence medallions of raised enamels embellished by more than 50 applied glass jewel-like ornaments emulating prong-set gemstones with enamel bezels.
Measures 11.75 x 7 x 4.5 inches.

9760 :: A LARGE BLUE MOSER
ART GLASS URN WITH ENAMELED LIZARDS
(Late 19th Century)
The urn blown in an attractive shade of blue crystal is embellished with a thick lava-like application of amber glass at the rim above a waisted neck blending to the bulbous lower portion lavishly decorated in exotic foliage depicted with considerable detail employing variegated colors of thick enamel creating large segmented leaves on woody stems.
The most dramatic elements are its two large applied glass lizards enameled to depict individual scales in three colors divided by gold outlines, creating an effect reminiscent of Chinese champleve' metalwork.
The lizards' gilded feet and tails are each embellished in multicolored enamel beading and both have red glass bead eyes.
Measures 10 x 7.5 inches.
Very good condition, noting a short, isolated stress or heat crack, center of the bulbous body near the head of one lizard. Otherwise very good, there are no cracks, repairs, chips, scratches or areas of heavy wear.

9762 :: A MOSER INTAGLIO CARVED TOPAZ CRYSTAL VASE WITH CAMEO
The very fine, subtly shaded, topazcolored crystal vase is deeply carved with serrated leaves rising to poppy flower heads that make up the outline of the cut and polished rim.
The body front is centered by an applied hot pad wine red flower head with wheel carved detail.
A recent Moser company brochure describes the technique as, 'The technologically-demanding combination of a deeply engraved floral motif and three-dimensional decoration using a coloured, bonded plaque in the shape of flowers is a protected design belonging to the Karlovy Vary glassworks.'

An original Moser foil label is on the underside of the base.

Each of the twelve lavish examples is comprised of a cranberry glass bowl on colorless stem decorated all-over in matte and gloss finish gold embellished with a band of swirling polychrome enamel festoons highlighted by two different hand painted portraits on either side. Windows in the gilt decoration are further relief decorated in petite enamel florals and framed with white enamel beading.
Measure 5 inches each.

9802 :: A FANTASTIC MOSER JUG WITH KAKAIMON, DRAGON, AND LIZARD
The exceptionally elaborate amberina glass jug displays an application of thick, flowing, lava-like applications around the rim, finished in fine bright gilding serving as background for studies of colorful flying insects painted in raised enamels.
The body is profusely decorated in an all-over enamel relief pattern of winged insects and Moser's stylized Japanese Kakaimon rose blossom motif among swirling leafy stems, centered by a fantastic mythical dragon-like beast in colorful enamels.
The jug's most prominent feature is its substantial handle formed as an encircling lizard embellished with rich gilding accented by red and gold enamels teeming with tiny white enamel beads.
A far less striking example of this form without amberina shading, or the enameled dragon found painted on this example, is pictured on the cover of Moser Glass: The Klabin Collection by Gary D. Baldwin.
Another similar, less colorful example with less decoration was sold in 2023 at an auction in Ohio. That jug had restoration and overpainting on the underside of the base that was added later.
The hammer price was $2400. Measures 9.75 x 8 inches.

The four-sided vase turned as a diamond form is shaded crystal clear to amethyst and carved with a central upper flower head atop intaglio tendrils all embellished in soft gold. The base is decorated in a separate technique of fine gold outline.

The shallow four-sided basin is offered with a similarly decorated decanter of tall, tapering, stoppered form, and ten matching footed cups. Each piece is decorated in bands of swirling, multi-colored foliate relief enamels alternating with bands of overlapping gilt fish scale designs, each centered by an enamel bead.
Stoppered cruet measures 13 inches, the square bowl is 2.5 x 9.5
inches. Round tray measures 11.25 and the cups are 3.25 inches each.
Hairline cracks and chips in the middle neck of the cruet. There are no other chips, cracks, repairs, scratches or areas of heavy wear to any other pieces.

The sapphire blue art glass casket with lock is decorated in thick enamel relief depictions of lovebirds among swirling foliate wreaths in twenty colors on each side, each end and the top. The whole is raised on ball feet and mounted with beaded handles each end.

The canoe shape dish with polished and gilded rim, and polished
base, is decorated in colorful enamel relief forget-me-not flowers and displayed on its scarce original X-form glass rod stand.
The boat measures 2.5 x 11.5 inches. The set measures 4 x 16.5 x 3 inches while on the stand.

The square serving plate with dished center displays an unusual applied glass figure of a bird sculpted in high relief, and is further embellished with scrolls and stylized foliates in relief enamels on the gold spandrels surrounding the blue center. The circular mark of Glasfabrik MM Karlsbad is stamped back side.
Measure 6.375, 7.25 and 7.75 inches.

The image known as Portrait of a Woman in Ceremonial Costume AFTER the painting by Hans Makart (Austrian 1840-1884) is displayed in an impressive brass filigree frame embellished in fired enamels and glass jewels. The painting is signed Hept lower right front and stamped with the K.P.M. scepter mark.

The quatrefoil shape bowl with undulating rim is cased with opaque green on blue, and raised on an amber glass trunk-form base. The bowl is decorated in glass bead grape clusters of various colors among relief enamels of grapevines and insects. The rustic motif base is enhanced with gilt depictions of knotholes and
bark, glass bead grape clusters, and an inscription of Moser on the underside.
Measures 7.75 x 12 inches.
There is a 1.5-inch chip to the underside of the upper rim. Otherwise very good, with no other chips, cracks, repairs. There may be some loss of glass beads.

The glass is mounted with original unpolished brass fittings and a burner with the maker's mark of R. Ditmar Wein for the Austrian maker Robert Ditmar, well-known manufacturer of high quality oil lamps and metal wares beginning in 1841.

The quatrefoil base is attached with iron bolts secured with cut iron bolts, confirming the mid 19th century origin.

The inverted conical form with lavalike application at the rim is decorated in all-over enamel decoration of Moser's stylized Japanese Kakaimon rose blossom motif with large winged insects among swirling leafy stems. The whole is raised on three cast blue glass lizards embellished in rich gilding and accented by red and gold enamels teeming with white beads. The lava-like drip with rich gilding is decorated in polychrome enamel studies of insects.

9908 :: AN IMPRESSIVE 125 PC MOSER 'SPLENDID' CRYSTAL SERVICE
The Splendid pattern was first produced in 1911 and became one of the most popular state service patterns in the Moser collection. Each piece was mouth blown and decorated with hand cut diamond crosshatch cuttings below the etched rim burnished in 24 karat gold. Kings of Spain and Norway commissioned state services, as did presidents and maharajas, as well as Queen Elizabeth II of England.
The expansive set up for bid here is largely marked with the Moser Czechoslovakia era oval acid mark, and or original paper labels. The oval bowl and one carafe are signed Moser Karlsbad on the polished pontil.

(Late 19th Century)
Each elegant and unusually elaborate wine goblet with richly gilded bowl is decorated by a band of swirling acanthus in colorful enamels, as found on many Moser art glass articles. Every other feature found here is out of the ordinary. The bowls are particularly lavish with fine tracery, windows through the gilding are trimmed in beading and covered in much smaller and more finely applied enamel decoration of flowers than normal. The stems differ with their baluster-form uppers decorated by applied prunts lavishly gilded and interspersed with additional tiny enamels. The lower portion of the stem is polished to six flat panels of colorless crystal cased on cranberry decorated in gold tracery. The flat cut panels blend to the similarly decorated and flaring foot.

Very good intact running condition at the time of inspection. The mechanism was wound when this clock was consigned and once started, ran for two hours. The accuracy of timekeeping is not known. We cannot guarantee the running or timekeeping condition of timepieces once removed from the auction premises. No damage, loss, repair or heavy wear.

9957 :: MEISSEN PORCELAIN COMPOTE AND CANDLESTICKS AS FOUND
Good examples of Meissen porcelain from the third quarter of the 19th century, each with major restoration.
The compote measures 18.75 inches high by 13 inches across the long side of the bowl. Candlesticks measure 13.5 inches high by 7 across the base.
Each candlestick has a major break and amateur repair at the candle cup or the bobeche or the stem below the bobeche. Each has a figure with repaired arm. Each has repaired flowers and leaves.
The compote has major rebuild of the green area where the top basket rests, which includes all of the scrolling green leaves just below the basket at the top of the standard. Almost totally rebuilt. Some repairs to flowers. The figures and the top basket are without repair.

2. Checks are accepted only with a bank letter of guarantee. The letter of guarantee must meet the requirements outlined HERE and follow this same basic format.
3. No more than $4000.00 may be paid toward an invoice using Paypal or a Credit Card of any type. Note: Paypal Echeck payments take up to 4 days to clear and will delay the shipping of your purchase until sufficient time has passed.

Dirk Soulis Auctions guarantees the authenticity, age and origin of a lot AS DESCRIBED IN THE ALL CAPITAL LETTERS TITLE OF THE AUCTION LISTING for a period of thirty (30) days from the date of the auction except those lots listed in the title as: ''in the style of'', ''attributed'', ''attributed to'', ''the school of'', ''in the manner of'', or ''after'' and only to the original purchaser of record at the auction and only if the purchaser provides payment within 7 (seven) days of the auction sale day. It is the policy of Dirk T. Soulis Antiques LLC, d.b.a. 7. SUCCESSFUL BIDDERS: The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer is the buyer. The auctioneer shall be the sole determinant of all winning bidders and shall
hold the official record of all sale prices. The auctioneer's declaration of the winning bidder will be recorded in-house and that record of the sale price shall take precedence over any and all electronic record or online readout or any incorrect notification regarding the winning bidder and or the final hammer price for any lot sold.
8. Once the auctioneer's gavel falls, the successful bidder immediately assumes full risk and responsibility for the purchased lot.
9. DISPUTED BIDS - In the event of discrepancies, the saleroom records of Dirk Soulis Antiques LLC DBA Dirk Soulis Auctions will take precedence over all other records or statements or invoices regarding hammer price and the final winning bidder of any lot.
