The pupils from Taverne primary school class, accompanied by their teachers, Pamela and Elena, have decided to create itineraries to discover the region and its surroundings to help a disorientated eagle find its way home and at the same time propose an array of one-day programmes to their peers and families. You can identify these itineraries through the eagle symbol.
Gli allievi di una classe della Scuola Elementare di Taverne, accompagnati dalle maestre Pamela ed Elena, hanno deciso di ideare degli itinerari alla scoperta della regione e i suoi dintorni per aiutare un aquilotto disorientato a ritrovare la via di casa e allo stesso tempo proporre a coetanei e famiglie dei programmi di giornata. Potrete identificare questi itinerari attraverso il simbolo dell’aquila.
The Family Tour is a guided tour encompassing legends and riddles and mysteries to be solved. Its aim is to encourage young children to find out more about the history, secrets and main attractions of Lugano’s old centre. Afterwards you might like to visit the Museo in Erba and its offer for children or take a trip on the Lugano road tourist train and enjoy an ice cream along the lakefront or at Parco Ciani.
Il Family Tour è una visita guidata che tra leggende, indovinelli e misteri da svelare, porta i più piccoli a scoprire la storia, i segreti e le principali attrazioni del centro città di Lugano. A seguire potrete visitare il Museo in Erba che offre mostre interattive e atelier creativi per bambini, fare un giro con il Trenino Turistico Lugano e mangiare un gelato passeggiando sul lungolago o al Parco Ciani.

Die Schüler einer Klasse der Primarschule Taverne haben in Begleitung der Lehrerinnen Pamela und Elena haben beschlossen, Routen zur Erkundung der Region und ihrer Umgebung auszuarbeiten, um einem orientierungslosen Adler zu helfen, wieder nach Hause zu finden, und gleichzeitig Tagesprogramme für ihre Mitschüler und Familien vorzuschlagen. Sie erkennen diese Routen an dem Adlersymbol.
Les élèves de l’école élémentaire de Taverne, avec leurs enseignantes Pamela et Elena, ont décidé de créer des itinéraires pour aller à la découverte de la région et de ses environs pour aider un aigle désorienté à retrouver le chemin de sa maison et, parallèlement, proposer des programmes d’une journée pour les pairs et les familles. Le symbole de l’aigle permet d’identifier ces itinéraires.

Danach können Sie das Museo in Erba besuchen, das interaktive Ausstellungen und Kreativ-Workshops für Kinder anbietet. Oder Sie können eine Fahrt mit dem Touristenzug durch Lugano unternehmen und ein Eis am Seeufer oder im Parco Ciani essen.

From Cassarate, take the Monte Brè funicular to reach the top of the mountain and enjoy the wonderful views over the Gulf of Lugano. A short walk takes you to Brè, the quaint village with sights of historic and artistic interest. Here you can visit the Wilhelm Schmid Museum and enjoy our local cuisine. After stopping off at the playground, you can continue on foot to Cureggia.
Da Cassarate con la Funicolare Monte Brè salirete in vetta per godere della magnifica vista sul golfo di Lugano. Una breve passeggiata conduce al caratteristico villaggio di Brè, un nucleo con tracce storiche e artistiche, dove è possibile visitare il Museo Wilhelm Schmid e gustare la cucina locale. Dopo una sosta al parco giochi, da qui potrete proseguire a piedi in direzione di Cureggia.

From Cassarate, take the Monte Brè funicular and head to the panoramic mountaintop, from where a short walk takes you to the village of Brè. Back in Cassarate, walk to Parco Ciani for a picnic on the lakeshore while you wait for the boat from Lugano to Melide. Here you can visit Swissminiatur, an open-air museum representing Switzerland in miniature.
Da Cassarate con la Funicolare Monte Brè salirete in cima alla vetta panoramica, dove con una breve passeggiata arriverete al caratteristico villaggio di Brè. Tornati a Cassarate, raggiungerete a piedi il Parco Ciani, per un pic-nic, in attesa di prendere il battello che vi condurrà da Lugano a Melide. Qui potrete visitare la Swissminiatur, un museo all’aperto che rappresenta la Confederazione Svizzera in miniatura.
From Lugano, take the boat to the romantic village of Gandria, a haven of tranquillity boasting narrow alleyways and marvellous glimpses over Lake Lugano. After lunch at one of the lakeside restaurants, return to Castagnola along the “Olive Tree Trail” which skirts the lakeshore. During the summer months you can stop off at Lido San Domenico to take a dip in the lake or to relax.

From Miglieglia, in Alto Malcantone, take the Lema Mountain cable car to the summit of Monte Lema, a natural oasis offering views over the region’s valleys all the way to the Alps and the Po Valley. From Ponte Tresa, make your way to Miniera d’Oro di Sessa, located in one of Switzerland’s largest mining districts. After visiting the mine, head to Novaggio, the starting point for the Sentiero delle Meraviglie, a loop trail which takes you through a haven of tranquillity and lush greenery. You’ll pass by the historic Maglio del Malcantone where iron was worked in the 19th century to make commonly used tools.
Da Ponte Tresa potrete raggiungere la Miniera d’Oro di Sessa, situata in uno dei distretti minerari più grandi della Svizzera. Dopo una visita proseguirete per Novaggio, punto di partenza del Sentiero delle Meraviglie, un percorso circolare che attraversa un’oasi di pace e verde. Qui passerete per lo storico Maglio del Malcantone, dove nel ‘800 si lavorava il ferro per ricavarne attrezzi di uso comune.
From Tesserete, following the “Walking in Capriasca” thematic trail, you’ll explore the hilly Capriasca region which extends from the area north of Lugano all the way to the slopes of Monte Ceneri. The landscape is characterised by natural wonders, with villages dotted amongst peaceful woods of birch, beech and chestnut trees; there are also plenty of historical and cultural remains.

From the village of Cimadera, in the heart of Val Colla, set off walking amidst meadows and woods of beech, fir and birch trees until you reach Capanna Pairolo where you can free-climb a rock face and enjoy delicious local dishes whilst admiring the stunning views over the surrounding mountains.
