Join this tour by car ... or shuttle from Baltimore-Washington Airport or Amtrak station. Then find yourself in the quiet tidewater paradise of Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Bike by former fishing villages and peaceful towns as you cycle your way from the Chesapeake Bay toward the Atlantic coast.
On the first few days, ride historic ferries across grass-lined inlets as you explore this pleasant terrain. Roll through the former shipbuilding town of St. Michaels and visit the Maritime Museum there.
On Day 3 spin though the lovely Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge and visit sites from Harriet Tubman’s life. On Day 4 cycle scenic Deal Island.
Days 5 & 6 bring you from quaint Berlin (seen in “Runaway Bride”) onward to see ponies on the beaches of Assateague Island. Then transfer back to the start to your car ... or shuttle back to the BaltimoreWashington Airport for departure.
