Explore some of the best riding in the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York. You spin along two of the largest of the lovely Finger Lakes, Cayuga and Seneca — and one of the most scenic, Keuka. Start and finish in the vibrant college town of Ithaca, known for its deep gorges. Enjoy wine tastings, stunning lake views, farm country and fun small towns in between.

ITINERARY

Level 3: Intermediate w/Advanced Hills

Biking miles: 20 to 60 miles/day (Options and van support available)

This tour is packed with brilliant riding, sweeping vistas and delicious breaks to taste local foods and wines. Explore Ithaca, home of Cornell University. Then venture out along the lakes for rolling hills, lakeside riding and challenging climbs (which you can skip with the help of the van or an e-bike).

Catch sight of Amish horse-drawn buggies on the quiet rural roads. And stop in quaint small towns for coffee or a delicious lunch. Take time to taste local treats such as wines, ice cream and fresh produce from the markets.

Visit a few of the famous local waterfalls as you pedal your way around the lakes and wineries. Walk in the footsteps of Elizabeth Cady Stanton and learn about the women’s rights history of Seneca Falls.

You stay in pleasant inns that are walking distance to restaurants — and at a winery located at a vineyard with lovely views of Seneca Lake.
