SOUTH DAKOTA & WYOMING MICKELSON TRAIL & BLACK HILLS

Experience stunning landscapes and learn about “wild west” history when you bicycle with us to see South Dakota’s Badlands National Park, the Black Hills, Wind Cave National Park, Mt. Rushmore and the Mickelson Trail — one of the best rail-trails in the U.S. Plus, see Devils Tower in Wyoming and free-ranging bison, antelope and more wildlife.

Enjoy outstanding scenery and wildlife viewing on this tour while you visit oh so many iconic landscapes. Start riding in the famous Badlands of South Dakota with their dramatic pinacles carved by wind and water — and known for some the world’s richest fossil beds. Then see bison and prairie dog towns in Wind Cave National Park.

Stay two nights in Custer State Game Park with more chances to see wildlife. And stand in awe of the four presidents carved into Mount Rushmore. Then cycle Sylvan Lake to Custer State Game Lodge on the iconic Needles Highway.

Ride through buttes and red sandstone cliffs up to the majestic Devils Tower National Monument. And have a “wild west” experience in Deadwood. End the week with two days of glorious riding on the Mickelson Trail, one of the most beautiful areas of the Black Hills. Shuttle back to Rapid City to depart.
