And Woodstock, Vermont, is the perfect base for all of these activities. You cycle past farms dotted with heritage Jersey cows — and offering local products like maple syrup and freshly picked apples. Roll by iconic New England covered bridges and lush forests. In the fall, wow at the famous colorful leaves.

Then change things up with a hike on some of the best local trails. See views of Woodstock Village from above ... and follow in the footsteps of the long-haul hikers on the Appalachian Trail.
