Denmark - Trails, Castles & Culture
DENMARK & SWEDEN DENMARK: TRAILS & CASTLES
Denmark is the most bicycle-friendly country on Earth! Enjoy the oldworld charm of upbeat cities like Copenhagen, magical castles and Viking lore ... plus a museum with actual preserved Viking ships. Take a day trip to Sweden and savor landscapes filled with rolling hills, thatched-roof farmhouses, beech forests and vistas of the Baltic Sea.

Get to know Copenhagen with both a guided walking tour led by a local expert and the chance to cycle like the Danish on the outstanding bike lanes in town. See Tivoli, two castles, the Little Mermaid sculpture and more — with a stop at a local brewery.
Then leave the city for the countryside ... as you cycle through the park where Karen Blixen once lived — and wrote “Out of Africa.” There’s an option to visit the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art as well.
On Day 4 you take a day trip to Sweden and have a special lunch and tour at a ceramic factory from 1864. Then on Day 5 you visit Kronberg Castle — claimed to be the setting for Shakespeare’s “Hamlet.”
Day 6 and 7 hold lovely cycling and a visit to the amazing Viking Museum and cathedral in Roskilde — with its crypts of kings and queens.
Cycle back into Copenhagen for our farewell dinner and departure on Day 8.
