NETHERLANDS & BELGIUM BRUGES TO AMSTERDAM BIKE & BARGE

Join us for an incredibly simple way to travel ... bike and barge! You cycle, and your “hotel” meets you at the next location. See iconic windmills, farms, woodlands and locks ... and bike on flat terrain around the enticing cities of Antwerp, Ghent, and Bruges. Then cruise across the border to explore historyrich Dutch villages in the Netherlands before ending in vibrant Amsterdam.
Spend your first few days visiting and biking in and near the UNESCO World Heritage-listed city of Bruges in Belgium. Take in a museum or spend time in a sidewalk café. Then continue on to explore Ghent. Cycle on gentle bike paths and roads to enjoy the scenery around several towns — including the magnificent views along the Schelde River to Dendermonde. Or take a break on the barge for a day!
Renaissance (and older) buildings and fascinating history add color to the journey. The Antwerp area has been important to the Romans, Vikings, Spanish, and Napoleon. Spend a full day in Antwerp visiting museums, restaurants and breweries.
On the final few days you see a fortified town, a set of 19 windmills, a lighthouse and a castle.
Be amazed at the art of Rubens and Jan van Eyck along the way ... and stay on to see the fantastic museums in Amsterdam after your bike tour.
