I’d like to take a moment to thank A Pet’s Memory for all they did for me during the most painful and vulnerable times. Thank you for always being professional, sympathetic, and most importantly HONEST. Nothing means more to a heartbroken pet owner than to know that we’re actually getting our baby back and not just a random pet. Once again THANK YOU FOR CARING

We think God is focused on all of our faults, our shortcomings, but God sees all the good things in you. He sees your heart to help others. He sees your sincerity, your kindness, your courage. God is proud of you. He made you in His own image; He calls you a masterpiece. Just because you’re struggling, it doesn’t mean you’ve done something wrong. We all go through tests, seasons we don’t understand. What I want us to see is the darkness is not permanent. At some point, you’re going to go from PM to AM. God is going to shift things. You’re going to come out promoted, increased, at a new level of your destiny. Don’t put a question mark where God put a period. We’re not going to understand everything that happens. Life is not always fair. You can’t make people do what’s right. God’s given us our own free will. Sometimes people make choices that hurt us. But God is so amazing, He’s going to cause you to forget the pain of the past.. The one thing you can always control is your attitude. “Am I going to live this day sour, discouraged, or am I going to live in faith, hopeful, kind, happy, seeing the best?” This is a decision we have to make each day. If you’re going to have a good attitude, you’re going to have to do it on purpose because all kinds of negative things will try to creep in: discouragement, self-pity, bitterness. If you’re not proactive, if you don’t choose to have the right attitude, then the wrong attitude will show up. Are you going to let the circumstances - what people say, what hasn’t worked out - convince you to settle where you are, give up on what you’re believing for? No, get your passion back. God didn’t create you to live in a drought, constantly struggling, stuck at one level. That’s not your destiny; that’s temporary. Abundance is coming, promotion is coming, healing is coming. Cruizin’ in the passin’ lane By: Jimbo After all the re-scheduling and worrying about the China Virus, the almost hurricane the car show gods blessed us with the perfect day for a car show. Hats off to Glen Mattina of Clear Vision Entertainment LLC. & Mike Kommersmith Coast Media Solutions, the Rock-n-Roll Open Car & Big Boys Toy Show at Point Cadet Plaza in Biloxi, MS was a huge success. I know this show will be an annual event here on the Gulf Coast. Thanks to all who worked so hard to put this show together and everyone who attended.

Here we are in July 2020 and celebrating our 244th year of independence. I guess the 4th of July has different meanings to different people but try and imagine what it must have been like for the men who pledged their life and fortunes back then to bring about a new country and the freedoms we have still to this day. People from all over the world are willing to give up their way of life to live here and I find it sad the news shows so many of the people who are born here in the USA want to give away our way of life and the freedoms we enjoy.

Everybody has got an opinion and my opinions may be far apart from your opinions but we can still talk and argue about what we think and do. My style of cars/bikes and trucks are my opinions about how fast they might run at the track with my special tune-ups that was generated by the opinions of people I have listened too. Maybe I just trusted their judgment or shortcuts and tricks-of-thetrade but here is where it gets a little tricky, I’m suppose to follow the “rule book”. If I get caught because I cheated it’s on me with no one else to blame. There are lot’s of “Rule Books” we all know that. But it seems like some of our countrymen are forgetting just what the rules really say. I wanted to put something in the magazine this month to bring back what the 4th of July was all about and what the “rules of freedom” say. You might remember Civics class when we were kids. Not sure if they even teach it anymore but, here is a handy guide for you to follow when the nightly news doesn't agree with your opinion. Jimbo, A neighbor suggested I put horse manure on my strawberries. Tasted horrible! I’m sticking with whipped cream! Paul Wilson Jimbo, I needed to do the laundry, but then I realized I was out of detergent, so I went to write a shopping list and realized how unorganized the junk drawer was, and started checking pens for ink. When I went to toss all the junk, I saw that the trash was full but before I took it out I wanted to get rid of old food in the fridge. That’s when I realized a juice jug had leaked so I needed to clean it up but when I went to grab a rag, I saw that the pantry closet was a nightmare so I started organizing it. And that’s how I ended up on the floor looking at my old photo albums from 1990’s and not doing laundry. posted by Donna Seay

Jimbo, Patrick had long heard the stories of an amazing family tradition. It seems that his father, grandfather and great-grandfather had all been able to walk on water on their 18th birthday. On that special day, they'd each walked across the lake to the pub on the far side for their first legal drink. So when Patrick's 18th birthday came around, he and his pal Mike took a boat out to the middle of the lake. Patrick stepped out of the boat ... and nearly drowned! Mike just barely managed to pull him to safety. Furious and confused, Patrick went to see his grandmother. "Grandma," he said, " 'Tis me 18th birthday, so why can't I walk 'cross the lake like me father, his father and his father before him?" Granny looked deeply into Patrick's troubled brown eyes and said, "Because ye father, ye grandfather and ye great-grandfather were all born in January, when the lake is frozen, and ye were born in July, ya idiot!" posted by Pete Cohon And in closing this month I leave you with this….. So after leaving the drive thru today in Gulfport, my wife took her sandwich out of the bag and we see BlTCH printed on the wrapper... Seriously? Oh not today, not today!! I went back to the restaurant, went INSIDE (already fuming), asked to speak to the manager and then threw the sandwich on the counter. I asked him for an explanation. He looked confused, so I pointed at the writing on the sandwich and demanded that he tells me why someone felt the need to write it on my Wife’s sandwich. He answered, "because you ordered a BLT with cheese??” To which I replied “Oh” Till next month …… Jimbo

In Congress, July 4, 1776. The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America, When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation. We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shown, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.-Such has been the patient sufferance of these Colonies; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government. The history of the present King of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world.

The Declaration of Independence was designed for multiple audiences: the King, the colonists, and the world. It was also designed to multitask. Its goals were to rally the troops, win foreign allies, and to announce the creation of a new country. The introductory sentence states the Declaration’s main purpose, to explain the colonists’ right to revolution. In other words, “to declare the causes which impel them to the separation.” Congress had to prove the legitimacy of its cause. It had just defied the most powerful nation on Earth. It needed to motivate foreign allies to join the fight. Preamble These are the lines contemporary Americans know best: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of happiness.” These stirring words were designed to convince Americans to put their lives on the line for the cause. Separation from the mother country threatened their sense of security, economic stability, and identity. The preamble sought to inspire and unite them through the vision of a better life. List of Grievances The list of 27 complaints against King George III constitute the proof of the right to rebellion. Congress cast “the causes which impel them to separation” in universal terms for an international audience. Join our fight, reads the subtext, and you join humankind’s fight against tyranny. Resolution of Independence The most important and dramatic statement comes near the end: “That these United Colonies are, and of Right ought to be Free and Independent States.” It declares a complete break with Britain and its King and claims the powers of an independent country.

He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good. He has forbidden his Governors to pass Laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till his Assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them. He has refused to pass other Laws for the accommodation of large districts of people, unless those people would relinquish the right of Representation in the Legislature, a right inestimable to them and formidable to tyrants only. He has called together legislative bodies at places unusual, uncomfortable, and distant from the depository of their public Records, for the sole purpose of fatiguing them into compliance with his measures. He has dissolved Representative Houses repeatedly, for opposing with manly firmness his invasions on the rights of the people. He has refused for a long time, after such dissolutions, to cause others to be elected; whereby the Legislative powers, incapable of Annihilation, have returned to the People at large for their exercise; the State remaining in the mean time exposed to all the dangers of invasion from without, and convulsions within. He has endeavored to prevent the population of these States; for that purpose obstructing the Laws for Naturalization of Foreigners; refusing to pass others to encourage their migrations hither, and raising the conditions of new Appropriations of Lands. He has obstructed the Administration of Justice, by refusing his Assent to Laws for establishing Judiciary powers.

He has made Judges dependent on his Will alone, for the tenure of their offices, and the amount and payment of their salaries. He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance. He has kept among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies without the Consent of our legislatures. He has affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil power. He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation: For Quartering large bodies of armed troops among us: For protecting them, by a mock Trial, from punishment for any Murders which they should commit on the Inhabitants of these States: For cutting off our Trade with all parts of the world: For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent: For depriving us in many cases, of the benefits of Trial by Jury: For transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offences For abolishing the free System of English Laws in a neighboring Province, establishing therein an Arbitrary government, and enlarging its Boundaries so as to render it at once an example and fit instrument for introducing the same absolute rule into these Colonies: For taking away our Charters, abolishing our most valuable Laws, and altering fundamentally the Forms of our Governments: For suspending our own Legislatures, and declaring themselves invested with power to legislate for us in all cases whatsoever. He has abdicated Government here, by declaring us out of his Protection and waging War against us. He has plundered our seas, ravaged our Coasts, burnt our towns, and destroyed the lives of our people. He is at this time transporting large Armies of foreign Mercenaries to complete the works of death, desolation and tyranny, already begun with circumstances of Cruelty & perfidy scarcely paralleled in the most barbarous ages, and totally unworthy the Head of a civilized nation. He has constrained our fellow Citizens taken Captive on the high Seas to bear Arms against their Country, to become the executioners of their friends and Brethren, or to fall themselves by their Hands. He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us, and has endeavoured to bring on the inhabitants of our frontiers, the merciless Indian Savages, whose known rule of warfare, is an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions. In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Prince whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.

Nor have We been wanting in attentions to our British brethren. We have warned them from time to time of attempts by their legislature to extend an unwarrantable jurisdiction over us. We have reminded them of the circumstances of our emigration and settlement here. We have appealed to their native justice and magnanimity, and we have conjured them by the ties of our common kindred to disavow these usurpations, which, would inevitably interrupt our connections and correspondence. They too have been deaf to the voice of justice and of consanguinity. We must, therefore, acquiesce in the necessity, which denounces our Separation, and hold them, as we hold the rest of mankind, Enemies in War, in Peace Friends. We, therefore, the Representatives of the united States of America, in General Congress, Assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of the good People of these Colonies, solemnly publish and declare, That these United Colonies are, and of Right ought to be Free and Independent States; that they are Absolved from all Allegiance to the British Crown, and that all political connection between them and the State of Great Britain, is and ought to be totally dissolved; and that as Free and Independent States, they have full Power to levy War, conclude Peace, contract Alliances, establish Commerce, and to do all other Acts and Things which Independent States may of right do. And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor. We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Article. I. Section. 1. All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives. Section. 2. The House of Representatives shall be composed of Members chosen every second Year by the People of the several States, and the Electors in each State shall have the Qualifications requisite for Electors of the most numerous Branch of the State Legislature. No Person shall be a Representative who shall not have attained to the Age of twenty five Years, and been seven Years a Citizen of the United States, and who shall not, when elected, be an Inhabitant of that State in which he shall be chosen. Representatives and direct Taxes shall be apportioned among the several States which may be included within this Union, according to their respective Numbers, which shall be determined by adding to the whole Number of free Persons, including those bound to Service for a Term of Years, and excluding Indians not taxed, three fifths of all other Persons. The actual Enumeration shall be made within three Years after the first Meeting of the Congress of the United States, and within every subsequent Term of ten Years, in such Manner as they shall by Law direct. The Number of Representatives shall not exceed one for every thirty Thousand, but each State shall have at Least one Representative; and until such enumeration shall be made, the State of New Hampshire shall be entitled to chuse three, Massachusetts eight, Rhode-Island and Providence Plantations one, Connecticut five, New-York six, New Jersey four, Pennsylvania eight, Delaware one, Maryland six, Virginia ten, North Carolina five, South Carolina five, and Georgia three. When vacancies happen in the Representation from any State, the Executive Authority thereof shall issue Writs of Election to fill such Vacancies. The House of Representatives shall chuse their Speaker and other Officers; and shall have the sole Power of Impeachment. Section. 3. The Senate of the United States shall be composed of two Senators from each State, chosen by the Legislature thereof, for six Years; and each Senator shall have one Vote. Immediately after they shall be assembled in Consequence of the first Election, they shall be divided as equally as may be into three Classes. The Seats of the Senators of the first Class shall be vacated at the Expiration of the second Year, of the second Class at the Expiration of the fourth Year, and of the third Class at the Expiration of the sixth Year, so that one third may be chosen every second Year; and if Vacancies happen by Resignation, or otherwise, during the Recess of the Legislature of any State, the Executive thereof may make temporary Appointments until the next Meeting of the Legislature, which shall then fill such Vacancies. No Person shall be a Senator who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty Years, and been nine Years a Citizen of the United States, and who shall not, when elected, be an Inhabitant of that State for which he shall be chosen.

The Vice President of the United States shall be President of the Senate, but shall have no Vote, unless they be equally divided. The Senate shall chuse their other Officers, and also a President pro tempore, in the Absence of the Vice President, or when he shall exercise the Office of President of the United States. The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments. When sitting for that Purpose, they shall be on Oath or Affirmation. When the President of the United States is tried, the Chief Justice shall preside: And no Person shall be convicted without the Concurrence of two thirds of the Members present. Judgment in Cases of Impeachment shall not extend further than to removal from Office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any Office of honor, Trust or Profit under the United States: but the Party convicted shall nevertheless be liable and subject to Indictment, Trial, Judgment and Punishment, according to Law. Section. 4. The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of chusing Senators. The Congress shall assemble at least once in every Year, and such Meeting shall be on the first Monday in December, unless they shall by Law appoint a different Day. Section. 5. Each House shall be the Judge of the Elections, Returns and Qualifications of its own Members, and a Majority of each shall constitute a Quorum to do Business; but a smaller Number may adjourn from day to day, and may be authorized to compel the Attendance of absent Members, in such Manner, and under such Penalties as each House may provide. Each House may determine the Rules of its Proceedings, punish its Members for disorderly Behaviour, and, with the Concurrence of two thirds, expel a Member. Each House shall keep a Journal of its Proceedings, and from time to time publish the same, excepting such Parts as may in their Judgment require Secrecy; and the Yeas and Nays of the Members of either House on any question shall, at the Desire of one fifth of those Present, be entered on the Journal. Neither House, during the Session of Congress, shall, without the Consent of the other, adjourn for more than three days, nor to any other Place than that in which the two Houses shall be sitting. Section. 6. The Senators and Representatives shall receive a Compensation for their Services, to be ascertained by Law, and paid out of the Treasury of the United States. They shall in all Cases, except Treason, Felony and Breach of the Peace, be privileged from Arrest during their Attendance at the Session of their respective Houses, and in going to and returning from the same; and for any Speech or Debate in either House, they shall not be questioned in any other Place. No Senator or Representative shall, during the Time for which he was elected, be appointed to any civil Office under the Authority of the United States, which shall have been created, or the Emoluments whereof shall have been encreased during such time; and no Person holding any Office under the United States, shall be a Member of either House during his Continuance in Office. Section. 7. All Bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills.

Every Bill which shall have passed the House of Representatives and the Senate, shall, before it become a Law, be presented to the President of the United States; If he approve he shall sign it, but if not he shall return it, with his Objections to that House in which it shall have originated, who shall enter the Objections at large on their Journal, and proceed to reconsider it. If after such Reconsideration two thirds of that House shall agree to pass the Bill, it shall be sent, together with the Objections, to the other House, by which it shall likewise be reconsidered, and if approved by two thirds of that House, it shall become a Law. But in all such Cases the Votes of both Houses shall be determined by yeas and Nays, and the Names of the Persons voting for and against the Bill shall be entered on the Journal of each House respectively. If any Bill shall not be returned by the President within ten Days (Sundays excepted) after it shall have been presented to him, the Same shall be a Law, in like Manner as if he had signed it, unless the Congress by their Adjournment prevent its Return, in which Case it shall not be a Law. Every Order, Resolution, or Vote to which the Concurrence of the Senate and House of Representatives may be necessary (except on a question of Adjournment) shall be presented to the President of the United States; and before the Same shall take Effect, shall be approved by him, or being disapproved by him, shall be repassed by two thirds of the Senate and House of Representatives, according to the Rules and Limitations prescribed in the Case of a Bill. Section. 8. The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States; To borrow Money on the credit of the United States; To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian Tribes; To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization, and uniform Laws on the subject of Bankruptcies throughout the United States; To coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin, and fix the Standard of Weights and Measures; To provide for the Punishment of counterfeiting the Securities and current Coin of the United States; To establish Post Offices and post Roads; To promote the Progress of Science and useful Arts, by securing for limited Times to Authors and Inventors the exclusive Right to their respective Writings and Discoveries; To constitute Tribunals inferior to the supreme Court; To define and punish Piracies and Felonies committed on the high Seas, and Offences against the Law of Nations; To declare War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water; To raise and support Armies, but no Appropriation of Money to that Use shall be for a longer Term than two Years; To provide and maintain a Navy; To make Rules for the Government and Regulation of the land and naval Forces; To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions; To provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining, the Militia, and for governing such Part of them as may be employed in the Service of the United States, reserving to the States respectively, the Appointment of the Officers, and the Authority of training the Militia

according to the discipline prescribed by Congress; To exercise exclusive Legislation in all Cases whatsoever, over such District (not exceeding ten Miles square) as may, by Cession of particular States, and the Acceptance of Congress, become the Seat of the Government of the United States, and to exercise like Authority over all Places purchased by the Consent of the Legislature of the State in which the Same shall be, for the Erection of Forts, Magazines, Arsenals, dock-Yards, and other needful Buildings;—And To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers, and all other Powers vested by this Constitution in the Government of the United States, or in any Department or Officer thereof. Section. 9. The Migration or Importation of such Persons as any of the States now existing shall think proper to admit, shall not be prohibited by the Congress prior to the Year one thousand eight hundred and eight, but a Tax or duty may be imposed on such Importation, not exceeding ten dollars for each Person. The Privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in Cases of Rebellion or Invasion the public Safety may require it. No Bill of Attainder or ex post facto Law shall be passed. No Capitation, or other direct, Tax shall be laid, unless in Proportion to the Census or enumeration herein before directed to be taken. No Tax or Duty shall be laid on Articles exported from any State. No Preference shall be given by any Regulation of Commerce or Revenue to the Ports of one State over those of another: nor shall Vessels bound to, or from, one State, be obliged to enter, clear, or pay Duties in another. No Money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in Consequence of Appropriations made by Law; and a regular Statement and Account of the Receipts and Expenditures of all public Money shall be published from time to time. No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State. Section. 10. No State shall enter into any Treaty, Alliance, or Confederation; grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal; coin Money; emit Bills of Credit; make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts; pass any Bill of Attainder, ex post facto Law, or Law impairing the Obligation of Contracts, or grant any Title of Nobility. No State shall, without the Consent of the Congress, lay any Imposts or Duties on Imports or Exports, except what may be absolutely necessary for executing it's inspection Laws: and the net Produce of all Duties and Imposts, laid by any State on Imports or Exports, shall be for the Use of the Treasury of the United States; and all such Laws shall be subject to the Revision and Control of the Congress. No State shall, without the Consent of Congress, lay any Duty of Tonnage, keep Troops, or Ships of War in time of Peace, enter into any Agreement or Compact with another State, or with a foreign Power, or engage in War, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as will not admit of delay.

The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America. He shall hold his Office during the Term of four Years, and, together with the Vice President, chosen for the same Term, be elected, as follows Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors, equal to the whole Number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress: but no Senator or Representative, or Person holding an Office of Trust or Profit under the United States, shall be appointed an Elector. The Electors shall meet in their respective States, and vote by Ballot for two Persons, of whom one at least shall not be an Inhabitant of the same State with themselves. And they shall make a List of all the Persons voted for, and of the Number of Votes for each; which List they shall sign and certify, and transmit sealed to the Seat of the Government of the United States, directed to the President of the Senate. The President of the Senate shall, in the Presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the Certificates, and the Votes shall then be counted. The Person having the greatest Number of Votes shall be the President, if such Number be a Majority of the whole Number of Electors appointed; and if there be more than one who have such Majority, and have an equal Number of Votes, then the House of Representatives shall immediately choose by Ballot one of them for President; and if no Person have a Majority, then from the five highest on the List the said House shall in like Manner choose the President. But in choosing the President, the Votes shall be taken by States, the Representation from each State having one Vote; A quorum for this Purpose shall consist of a Member or Members from two thirds of the States, and a Majority of all the States shall be necessary to a Choice. In every Case, after the Choice of the President, the Person having the greatest Number of Votes of the Electors shall be the Vice President. But if there should remain two or more who have equal Votes, the Senate shall choose from them by Ballot the Vice President. The Congress may determine the Time of choosing the Electors, and the Day on which they shall give their Votes; which Day shall be the same throughout the United States. No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States. In Case of the Removal of the President from Office, or of his Death, Resignation, or Inability to discharge the Powers and Duties of the said Office, the Same shall devolve on the Vice President, and the Congress may by Law provide for the Case of Removal, Death, Resignation or Inability, both of the President and Vice President, declaring what Officer shall then act as President, and such Officer shall act accordingly, until the Disability be removed, or a President shall be elected. The President shall, at stated Times, receive for his Services, a Compensation, which shall neither be increased nor diminished during the Period for which he shall have been elected, and he shall not receive within that Period any other Emolument from the United States, or any of them. Before he enter on the Execution of his Office, he shall take the following Oath or Affirmation:—"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States." Section. 2. The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States; he may

require the Opinion, in writing, of the principal Officer in each of the executive Departments, upon any Subject relating to the Duties of their respective Offices, and he shall have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offences against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment. He shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur; and he shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by Law: but the Congress may by Law vest the Appointment of such inferior Officers, as they think proper, in the President alone, in the Courts of Law, or in the Heads of Departments. The President shall have Power to fill up all Vacancies that may happen during the Recess of the Senate, by granting Commissions which shall expire at the End of their next Session. Section. 3. He shall from time to time give to the Congress Information of the State of the Union, and recommend to their Consideration such Measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient; he may, on extraordinary Occasions, convene both Houses, or either of them, and in Case of Disagreement between them, with Respect to the Time of Adjournment, he may adjourn them to such Time as he shall think proper; he shall receive Ambassadors and other public Ministers; he shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed, and shall Commission all the Officers of the United States. Section. 4. The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.

Article III. Section. 1. The judicial Power of the United States, shall be vested in one supreme Court, and in such inferior Courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish. The Judges, both of the supreme and inferior Courts, shall hold their Offices during good Behaviour, and shall, at stated Times, receive for their Services, a Compensation, which shall not be diminished during their Continuance in Office. Section. 2. The judicial Power shall extend to all Cases, in Law and Equity, arising under this Constitution, the Laws of the United States, and Treaties made, or which shall be made, under their Authority;—to all Cases affecting Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls;—to all Cases of admiralty and maritime Jurisdiction;—to Controversies to which the United States shall be a Party;—to Controversies between two or more States;— between a State and Citizens of another State,—between Citizens of different States,— between Citizens of the same State claiming Lands under Grants of different States, and between a State, or the Citizens thereof, and foreign States, Citizens or Subjects. In all Cases affecting Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, and those in which a State shall be Party, the supreme Court shall have original Jurisdiction. In all the other Cases before mentioned, the supreme Court shall have appellate Jurisdiction, both as to Law and Fact, with such Exceptions, and under such Regulations as the Congress shall make. The Trial of all Crimes, except in Cases of Impeachment, shall be by Jury; and such Trial shall be held in the State where the said Crimes shall have been committed; but when not committed within

any State, the Trial shall be at such Place or Places as the Congress may by Law have directed.

Section. 3. Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court. The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attainted.

Article. IV. Section. 1. Full Faith and Credit shall be given in each State to the public Acts, Records, and judicial Proceedings of every other State. And the Congress may by general Laws prescribe the Manner in which such Acts, Records and Proceedings shall be proved, and the Effect thereof. Section. 2. The Citizens of each State shall be entitled to all Privileges and Immunities of Citizens in the several States. A Person charged in any State with Treason, Felony, or other Crime, who shall flee from Justice, and be found in another State, shall on Demand of the executive Authority of the State from which he fled, be delivered up, to be removed to the State having Jurisdiction of the Crime. No Person held to Service or Labor in one State, under the Laws thereof, escaping into another, shall, in Consequence of any Law or Regulation therein, be discharged from such Service or Labor, but shall be delivered up on Claim of the Party to whom such Service or Labor may be due. Section. 3. New States may be admitted by the Congress into this Union; but no new State shall be formed or erected within the Jurisdiction of any other State; nor any State be formed by the Junction of two or more States, or Parts of States, without the Consent of the Legislatures of the States concerned as well as of the Congress. The Congress shall have Power to dispose of and make all needful Rules and Regulations respecting the Territory or other Property belonging to the United States; and nothing in this Constitution shall be so construed as to Prejudice any Claims of the United States, or of any particular State. Section. 4. The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence. Article. V. The Congress, whenever two thirds of both Houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose Amendments to this Constitution, or, on the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States, shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments, which, in either Case, shall be valid to all Intents and Purposes, as Part of this Constitution, when ratified by the Legislatures of three fourths of the several States, or by Conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other Mode of Ratification may be proposed by the Congress; Provided that no Amendment which may be made prior to the Year One thousand eight hundred and eight shall in any Manner affect the first and fourth Clauses in the Ninth Section of the

The Bill of Rights is the first 10 Amendments to the Constitution. It spells out Americans’ rights in relation to their government. It guarantees civil rights and liberties to the individual-like freedom of speech, press, and religion. It sets rules for due process of law and reserves all powers not delegated to the Federal Government to the people or the States. And it specifies that “the enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.” The First Amendment provides several rights protections: to express ideas through speech and the press, to assemble or gather with a group to protest or for other reasons, and to ask the government to fix problems. It also protects the right to religious beliefs and practices. It prevents the government from creating or favoring a religion. The Second Amendment protects the right to keep and bear arms. The Third Amendment prevents government from forcing homeowners to allow soldiers to use their homes. Before the Revolutionary War, laws gave British soldiers the right to take over private homes. The Fourth Amendment bars the government from unreasonable search and seizure of an individual or their private property. The Fifth Amendment provides several protections for people accused of crimes. It states that serious criminal charges must be started by a grand jury. A person cannot be tried twice for the same offense (double jeopardy) or have property taken away without just compensation. People have the right against self-incrimination and cannot be imprisoned without due process of law (fair procedures and trials.) The Sixth Amendment provides additional protections to people accused of crimes, such as the right to a speedy and public trial, trial by an impartial jury in criminal cases, and to be informed of criminal charges. Witnesses must face the accused, and the accused is allowed his or her own witnesses and to be represented by a lawyer. The Seventh Amendment extends the right to a jury trial in Federal civil cases. The Eighth Amendment bars excessive bail and fines and cruel and unusual punishment.

But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States. *Superseded by section 3 of the 20th amendment. AMENDMENT XIII Passed by Congress January 31, 1865. Ratified December 6, 1865. Note: A portion of Article IV, section 2, of the Constitution was superseded by the 13th amendment. Section 1. Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.

The Ninth Amendment states that listing specific rights in the Constitution does not mean that people do not have other rights that have not been spelled out.

Section 2.

The Tenth Amendment says that the Federal Government only has those powers delegated in the Constitution. If it isn’t listed, it belongs to the states or to the people.

The Judicial power of the United States shall not be construed to extend to any suit in law or equity, commenced or prosecuted against one of the United States by Citizens of another State, or by Citizens or Subjects of any Foreign State.

All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

AMENDMENT XII

Representatives shall be apportioned among the several States according to their respective numbers, counting the whole number of persons in each State, excluding Indians not taxed. No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability. Section 4. The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned. But neither the United States nor any State shall assume or pay any debt or obligation incurred in aid of insurrection or rebellion against the United States, or any claim for the loss or emancipation of any slave; but all such debts, obligations and claims shall be held illegal and void. Section 5. The Congress shall have the power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article. *Changed by section 1 of the 26th amendment.

This amendment shall not be so construed as to affect the election or term of any Senator chosen before it becomes valid as part of the Constitution. AMENDMENT XVIII Passed by Congress December 18, 1917. Ratified January 16, 1919. Repealed by amendment 21. Section 1. After one year from the ratification of this article the manufacture, sale, or transportation of intoxicating liquors within, the importation thereof into, or the exportation thereof from the United States and all territory subject to the jurisdiction thereof for beverage purposes is hereby prohibited. Section 2. The Congress and the several States shall have concurrent power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation. Section 3. This article shall be inoperative unless it shall have been ratified as an amendment to the Constitution by the legislatures of the several States, as provided in the Constitution, within seven years from the date of the submission hereof to the States by the Congress. The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex. Section 2. The Congress shall have the power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation. AMENDMENT XVI Passed by Congress July 2, 1909. Ratified February 3, 1913. Note: Article I, section 9, of the Constitution was modified by amendment 16. The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration. AMENDMENT XVII Passed by Congress May 13, 1912. Ratified April 8, 1913. Note: Article I, section 3, of the Constitution was modified by the 17th amendment. The Senate of the United States shall be composed of two Senators from each State, elected by the people thereof, for six years; and each Senator shall have one vote. The electors in each State shall have the qualifications requisite for electors of the most numerous branch of the State legislatures. When vacancies happen in the representation of any State in the Senate, the executive authority of such State shall issue writs of election to fill such vacancies: Provided, That the legislature of any State may empower the executive thereof to make temporary appointments until the people fill the vacancies by election as the legislature may direct.

Section 2. The Congress shall assemble at least once in every year, and such meeting shall begin at noon on the 3d day of January, unless they shall by law appoint a different day. Section 3. If, at the time fixed for the beginning of the term of the President, the President elect shall have died, the Vice President elect shall become President. If a President shall not have been chosen before the time fixed for the beginning of his term, or if the President elect shall have failed to qualify, then the Vice President elect shall act as President until a President shall have qualified; and the Congress may by law provide for the case wherein neither a President elect nor a Vice President elect shall have qualified, declaring who shall then act as President, or the manner in which one who is to act shall be selected, and such person shall act accordingly until a President or Vice President shall have qualified. Section 4. The Congress may by law provide for the case of the death of any of the persons from whom the House of Representatives may choose a President whenever the right of choice shall have devolved upon them, and for the case of the death of any of the persons from whom the Senate may choose a Vice President whenever the right of choice shall have devolved upon them.

Section 5.

AMENDMENT XXIV

Sections 1 and 2 shall take effect on the 15th day of October following the ratification of this article.

Section 6. This article shall be inoperative unless it shall have been ratified as an amendment to the Constitution by the legislatures of threefourths of the several States within seven years from the date of its submission.

AMENDMENT XXV

The eighteenth article of amendment to the Constitution of the United States is hereby repealed.

Section 2. The transportation or importation into any State, Territory, or possession of the United States for delivery or use therein of intoxicating liquors, in violation of the laws thereof, is hereby prohibited. Section 3. This article shall be inoperative unless it shall have been ratified as an amendment to the Constitution by conventions in the several States, as provided in the Constitution, within seven years from the date of the submission hereof to the States by the Congress. AMENDMENT XXII Passed by Congress March 21, 1947. Ratified February 27, 1951. Section 1. No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once. But this Article shall not apply to any person holding the office of President when this Article was proposed by the Congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of President, or acting as President, during the term within which this Article becomes operative from holding the office of President or acting as President during the remainder of such term. Section 2. This article shall be inoperative unless it shall have been ratified as an amendment to the Constitution by the legislatures of threefourths of the several States within seven years from the date of its submission to the States by the Congress. AMENDMENT XXIII Passed by Congress June 16, 1960. Ratified March 29, 1961. Section 1. Thereupon Congress shall decide the issue, assembling within forty-eight hours for that purpose if not in session. If the Congress, within twenty-one days after receipt of the latter written declaration, or, if Congress is not in session, within twenty-one days after Congress is required to assemble, determines by two-thirds vote of both Houses that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall continue to discharge the same as Acting President; otherwise, the President shall resume the powers and duties of his office. Kind of slow going in the carriage house of late. I have been busy building a deck at my daughters' house for the new pool she got for the grands. So, my time has been spent toting lumber cutting and putting it all together. Its not finished yet, still got one more section to go, but By: Glen Gilmore I am making headway. The kids enjoy it and their new slide that is now on the deck as well, (the whole reason for the deck). I am looking forward to the completion of this deck soon. I did manage to get a few more things ordered for the Big Truck project, Chase helped pick out some new rims and we even got the Queen to pop for 2 of them, we thought that to be very nice of her. Made a little more headway on wiring up the internals of the doors too. Next up, tires for the new rims, the ones on it that were just used for mockup, are to say the least very old. The ones on the front were from my first roadster at least 20 years old. Dry rotted and cracking badly, it's a wonder they even hold air. Their time is up, they served their purpose several times. The ones on the rear are most likely the same age, don't think I should trust them either. At some point I am going to need to buy something that resembles a seat. I really have not focused too much on the interior either. All I know at present is we don't want bucket seats. And I think we need some kind of radio. It does have A/C and heat and power windows so I think a nice radio would be fitting. The truck runs perfectly, it just has not moved on its own from the garage yet. I think its just waiting patiently, with some luck I just may be able to take it to Cruisin the Coast this year. Not totally finished though. I would like to once again wish this great country of ours a Happy Birthday, so pop some fire crackers, enjoy some BBQ, and have a beverage or two and enjoy the family and friends. I left from there and head to Edgewater Mall for the 40th annual southern hospitality car show hosted by the Mustang club. Pulled in I registered ( they had 80 plus cars register) and hung out a few hours visiting with friends checking out more cars/trucks.

This Month we've been getting a few more events cranked back up. We started out at the Pass Christian harbor cruise in had 12 rides show up and practice a social distancing cruise in.

After the show was over I headed over to Waveland for the Misfits Street Krewzers 2nd Saturday cruise in. Had a pretty good turnout here with around 50 cars/trucks.

Our next stop was a new cruise in which is on the 3rd Friday every month on Coleman Ave in Waveland. Had 85 cars/trucks at this one along with a live band and several food trucks for meals.

The next Saturday we road was another one of the multiple events in a day. I started he day registering at the Rock n Roll open car show at Point Cadet Plaza in Biloxi. They had over 250 rides show up at this one.

Few of my young friends came out to our local Misfits cruise-in tonight in Waveland. Michael Fountain, Brennan Fountain, Dewayne Dunhurst, Freda Dunhurst, Bobby Arkwright. Thank y'all coming over and the support. I worry Bobby was leaving and going home to do even more to his Lil mini in these 2 weeks left before Scrapin. Another long day of riding the wheels off and supporting friends shows and relaxing at a cruise-in to finish it out. Remember to watch for our friends out riding their bikes also. Allen.

This 2007 Chevrolet Silverado belongs to Steven Foster, a maintenance technician, specializing in kitchen equipment at Pearl River Resort. Steven has been with the resort since 2007 and is also the mastermind behind the resort’s annual Ante Up Car Show. When Steven bought this crew cab in 2014 he had no idea the truck would eventually hold great sentimental value. It was built by Slaughter House, an automotive customization shop in Tomball, Texas. In 2016, he upgraded the air ride suspension to Air Lift Performance, a company that sponsors the Chevy at car shows. And this is where the sentimental value comes in. Attending car shows became Steven’s favorite thing to do, especially with his mother. Steven said, “She loved driving my truck around town, hitting the air switches. The truck would go up and down and she would laugh and exclaim how cool she was.” Sadly, in 2018, his mother succumbed to complications with lung cancer. As a tribute to her, Steven plans to restore his truck to its glory. It will undergo cosmetic changes and upgrades soon.

Wow! A one owner 1973 Dodge Challenger!! Pat Baxter is a great man with an outstanding vehicle. He saw this brand new car at a dealership in Florida in 1973, purchased it, and drove it off the lot. He is still driving this showpiece 47 years later. How is that for dedication? This actually is an award winning show car, today. It is an outstanding show car, and yet is driven to local shows. Yes, on the street. The Challenger is a regular at car shows and cruise-ins locally, and Pat is well known for his great personality and friendliness. His Dodge is popular and so is Pat. I always search for him wherever I am, because he continually lifts my spirits. This Dodge Challenger is equipped with a 340 cubic inch engine sporting two four barrel 450 CFM carburetors painted red with chrome bowls, using progressive linkage, and sitting on a polished Edelbrock Tunnel Ram intake manifold. A polished street scoop sets off the top. Inside you would find a COMP Thumpr hydraulic camshaft and the Milodon gear drive gives the ultimate quality, strength and durability. It displays TPI polished headers with polished stainless steel pipes running all the way to the tips. The transmission is a factory manual 3 speed on the floor, sporting a polished bellhousing, a chrome drive shaft, and a chrome transmission cross member running through an 8 ¾ differential with 3.55 gears. Up front there is a March pulley system. Dress up goodies include Mopar Direct Connection chrome valve covers, chrome alternator, polished Edelbrock heads, chrome oil pan, 3 core aluminum radiator with electric fan, and chrome hood hinges. An engine this powerful needs great stopping ability, so Pat installed all Wilwood 4 piston disc brakes with a chrome brake cylinder package. The tires are Cooper R53-A- 225/50R17 on the front and 265/45R18 on the back, mounted on MB old school 17x7 on the front and 18x8 on the rear. The suspension is Hotchkis torsion bar with leaf springs and a manual steering box. The interior on this beast is the factory stock black. The windows are new, but have the original stampings. The vinyl top is also new. The paint is stunning, and is a base coat/clear coat with stripes in an intricate and unique design. You need to see this stunning 1973 Dodge Challenger in person to appreciate it. These are highly sought after vehicles in today's marketplace, as you know. July Cover Girl Ms. Rachel Waters is not only beautiful, she’s also a true auto-enthusiast. Rachel is a member of the Gulf Coast Corvette Club, and hangs out with local Jeep enthusiasts. Rachel owns two corvettes and a rare long-wheel-based L J Rubicon Jeep. The long wheelbased Rubicon was only manufactured for three years (2004-2006); it’s so rare the Jeep community calls it a “unicorn”. Rachel enjoys participating in car shows, car cruises, and loves water sports. Rachel is also a pretty good mechanic, she changes her own tires, oil, and brakes. She loves to detail her own vehicles and keep them pristine. Rachel is fearless, she doesn’t think twice about hooking up her own 40-foot toy-hauler to her F-350 crew-cab 4x4 to go camping, and she sets it all up by herself. On the flipside of the coin, Rachel doesn’t mind putting on a cocktail dress and heals for a classy dinner out. She’s posing in front of a rare full-top-removable 1975 Chevrolet K-5 Blazer owned by Tom and Juli Bocek. Chevy only made this body style Blazer with the full-removable-top for three years (197375). Although Rachel is in front of a red Blazer (Tom’s favorite color), her favorite vehicle color is green, like her eyes, both her corvettes green, and her jeep is green too.

Then she posted something about improving some things in her life, so I texted her again that I could help her with those things if she would trust me. She responded back that maybe we could talk. She had been married for twenty years and the last ten had been rough. Elizabeth told friends and family as late as two weeks before we met that she didn’t need nor would ever have another man in her life. She said I was the Ice Queen when it came to men, but sweet and nice with everything else. You see Elizabeth is a Christian. I believe the good Lord got us together. Not only did the Lord have me try her one more time, he softened her heart at the same time. We talked hours upon hours getting to know each other before we met. Once we met our chemistry was unbelievable. We are so compatible, so happy.

How much can change in a month. In my column last month COVID19 lead the column, where did the virus go? It disappeared from the news… replaced by riots. Normally when there is a riot it is because the majority of our nation doesn’t understand a cause. With George Floyd, 99% of people thought it was wrong and the Police involved were arrested, so what was the rioting about? I think we all know, politics being backed by a guy named George Soros. Doing away with Police would hurt the minorities the most, because that is where the most crime occurs! Who comes up with these things, OK rant over and I’m over all these political plays, expect more between now and November 3, but it will have little impact. On to the good, how about the great news? Talking about the difference a month can make…I have stumbled, fell into, destiny stuck, karma hit into an incredible relationship. Since Scotty’s death and a year of mourning I have been searching for the perfect mate for the last three years. I made sure I would never compare the women I dated with Scotty that would not be fair. But I did have a Top 5 checklist that I would slip through conversation to screen the women I would be dating. My close friends all said I was way too picky and would never find my dream girl. I have to admit that after three years I was beginning to wonder myself. Dating after 34 years of marriage was a huge challenge; I would not wish it on anybody. Holy Cow! The greatest lesson I learned from dating is DO NOT DATE ONE PERSON AT A TIME, until you meet the right one. That is the way I started, I then learned what girls had known forever, date more than one, three works well. Because when a girl goes south on you and it’s the only one you’re dating, it’s heartbreaking. However if you are dating three and one drops off, it’s no big deal. Now I’m talking dating, not relationships. Its stone cold and brutal dating in 2020! Lol I had also learned that if you could find someone raised the same way you were and talked the same language you did, had the same values you did…it was a huge plus. So since moving to Pensacola, I started looking here, but also the Mobile area. I had met and talked to a girl in my hometown of Dothan, AL that was real nice and then I found out she was happily married, I somehow missed that. Any way, we stayed friends on Facebook, a couple years later I see her with a photo of what appeared to be her Mother and sisters. One really caught my eye, so I texted Anna and asked who is the cute girl on the left. She said “that is my little sister Elizabeth.” I asked “is she married” and she said “no, divorced.” I said tell me about her…Anna said “Elizabeth is very sweet and nice.” I said great I’m going to see if she will talk to me. So I friended Elizabeth and texted her on Facebook, told her I knew her sister and wanted to see if she wanted to go out sometimes. She very politely told me that I seemed like a nice guy, but she had been divorced for three years, had not dated and did not believe she would ever date again. I told Elizabeth thanks for being honest. I did not talk to her for three weeks.

The list I had for the perfect woman, she checked off every box and added many more I have not even thought about. We’re still early in this relationship, and we have some things to work through. We live 130 miles from each other and we both like our jobs. We’ll work through that stuff. It feels like I have known her for a long time. But I also feel like we are going to be together for a long, long time. I can’t wait for you to meet MS Elizabeth at our next car show. The Street Festival Car Show in New Roads, LA will be her first, Saturday September 19. Cruisin The Coast will be October 8-10 for us at the Coast Coliseum in Biloxi, MS. And then November 11-14 at Emerald Coast Cruizin in Panama City Beach, FL. Come over and meet MS Elizabeth, buy a little something from her and welcome her to the car show scene. It’s all new and exciting for her. Missing the car shows and car events, yeah me too, but please check on your friends & family and make sure they are good physically and mentally! I’ll pray for you, please… pray for me! til next month…

6/14/20: Welcome back everyone!!! I was rushed for time last month, so I feel like I short-changed you all on the article. I'm warning you now, this might be a long one! LOL…Seriously! Here we go…May 24, we made the haul back over to Milton, Florida for their annual “Iron Man' Memorial Day weekend race! This was my first time ever to race on a Sunday night that I can remember. We struggled early to get a handle on the racetrack, thanks to a pop-up rain shower right before our heat race! Chase just did the best he could with what he had for the heat race, and we re-grouped and prepared for the feature. It was looking like a disappointing night! I went to work on the car! I got on the phone, (with Noah Daspit and Jamie Luzenberg) got some confirmation that I was tuning us in the right direction, and then I had a talk with Chase! This was our 3rd trip to Southern Raceway and we've been strong each time, but not strong enough to compete with their local fan favorite, Ryan Fowler! Fowler is a veteran modified racer who competes regularly in the big leagues of the dirt track scene! He, like Chase, started racing modifieds at a very young age. With over 25 years of racing experience, if you beat Ryan, (especially at his home track) then you've done something! That seems like a great goal to push for! I began to pump Chase up before the race! I told him that because of our poor performance in the heat race, NOW would be a great time to surprise Fowler with a good clean win! We both got all psyched up and ready to go! However, we both agreed that if he couldn't get it done clean, then we didn't want it! Here we go! Chase starts 4th with Fowler starting on the pole. Green flag….Chase immediately takes to the high-line and powers his way to 2nd, several car lengths behind Fowler! At this point, a wave of goose bumps comes over me as I'm filming! HE'S ON THE HUNT!!! I bump Adrian and say, “we're fixing to WIN this thing!” I could hear the announcer saying something about “Fowler pulling away from the field”, he hadn't seen what I saw, YET!!! Those next 2 laps, we go from several car lengths back, to just a couple car lengths… to “HELLO!!!” Chase had just done what not too many people have done…He's reeling Fowler in at his home track! I mean, seriously… Fowler has beat dirt track legends like Ken Schrader on this same dirt! WOOOHOOOOO!!!! Chase was so much faster getting into the turns, but Fowler was quicker off the corner! As Chase shadowed Fowler for a couple more laps, he came in a little too hot going into turn 3 and bumped some sheet metal on Fowler's right rear quarter panel. He had barely touched him, but he still backed off a tad and didn't want to beat him like that. As Chase regrouped and started planning his next run, he allowed Fowler to get a few car lengths ahead, not realizing that it wouldn't be so easy to gain back that lost ground! Fowler cruised on to the checkered for another victory, and Chase came home with another respectable 2nd place finish for the season! AWESOME run!!! We camped out that night at the local KOA campground in Milton. (Which is amazing by the way! If you ever need a place to camp while passing through Milton, Florida…Be sure to tell Mr. Mike that we sent you! He's an old dirt track racer too!) We woke up the next morning, washed our car, did some maintenance, and mounted some tires as we were preparing for another night of racing in Flomaton, Alabama! Remember this was Memorial Day weekend, so now we are headed to Tri-County Speedway for a $1000 to win

showdown on a Monday night!!! It was fun to be traveling, racing, and camping as a family! We arrived at Tri-County Speedway and were able to hot-lap and just as Chase was about to line up for his heat race, the bottom fell out of the sky! It was a lot of rain in a short period of time that was just too much for the racetrack to handle! They cancelled for the night and postponed the race until June 13. We will be there!!! We took the following weekend off from racing and decided to go on a family camping excursion instead, with no racing involved! It was fun. We planned a double header for the weekend of June 5-6. We wanted to run at Hattiesburg Friday night, and depending on the outcome, we were hoping to race at the Grand Re-opening of Pike County Speedway in McComb, MS! Let's start with Hattiesburg on June, 5…We drew a great starting position which put us starting on the pole of the first of three heat races. There were 19 modifieds at Hattiesburg. Chase lead his heat from flag to flag and won it, which meant we would be on the pole for the big feature event! Chase led the huge field of hotrods into turn one beside #9 of Bryan Powell, from Magee, MS. A couple laps into the feature, Powell made a pass for the lead, but Chase remained calm and drove back to the front on the next lap! After a series of restarts, due to cautions deep in the field, #34 Ben Stephens found a bunch of momentum on the high side and he powered past Chase on the front straightaway at the halfway point of the race! Chase remained calm and kept digging on the bottom groove, even as Ben appeared to be pulling away from Chase each lap. As the laps wound down, Chase seemed to close the distance slightly, but not enough, as Ben Stephens went on to win and Chase came home 2nd AGAIN! LOL…but we aren't complaining! I preach it to Chase constantly, just how awesome a top 5 finish is on any given night against this group of racers!!! And don't misunderstand me, Chase is grateful to finish in the front of the pack…BUT, one of the first questions ANYONE ever asks when they find out he races is “how many races have you won?”…That's a tough question to just answer without any explanation! Unless you follow along…or actually compete against this group yourself…I don't think you really understand the level of competition we race against weekly! I stand proud with our top 5 finishes! I'll take em! With the threat of rain pressing down on us from Tropical Storm Cristabol, we decided to stay home Saturday night, and not make the drive to Pike County Speedway! I'm glad we stayed home on that one, but we certainly look forward to visiting Pike soon! June 12, 2020…we caught word that Deep South Speedway in Loxley Alabama was running 2 full nights of racing (Friday and Saturday)… We were already committed to Tri-County Speedway, in Flomaton Alabama for the $1000 to win Memorial Day rain-out, make-up race Saturday night, however our schedule was wide open for Friday night!!! So off we went!!! The track was awesome, and we were superfast in hot laps! Chase laid down the fastest laps out of the 12 modifieds there ready to do battle! It always worries me to be really fast in hot laps, because as the track changes you have to try to keep up with adjusting the car…so Chase is relying on me to read the track most nights…I usually miss more than I hit! LOL…but we are a team! We mutually decided to tighten up for the heat race, and it was too early as the track didn't slick off as quickly as we had expected…Regardless, we started 3rd and finished 2nd in our heat to none other than “the Rocketman” Ryan Fowler! We started 3rd in the feature and had some great side by side racing but still came up one spot short of a win at the checkered flag! Fowler won it and Chase came home 2nd again, with $650 cash and a nice trophy! I'll take it! We drove home, got up early and went straight to work on the hotrod preparing for Tri-County! June 13, 2020…Flomaton, Alabama was the place to be, and we brought a huge fan club with us to cheer Chase on and hopefully see him win his first race with this new Hughes Chassis this season! Chase drew a bad starting position that put him starting dead last in the first heat race. As the green flag waved, he went straight to work! He got up on that wheel!!! He never touched anyone as he went 3 wide up high, on the front straightaway… then he sailed down the back straightaway and LAUNCHED off turn 4! FOLKS!!!

….WE HAVE A NEW LEADER at the flagstand!!! WooooooHoooooo!!!! Go Chase! He stretched out and never looked back! This put us starting on the pole for the Feature! Here we GO!!! Chase had to fight every lap of the feature! It was exhausting and VERY STRESSFULL to watch! We had at least 5 cautions before we ever completed 1 lap….restart after restart… Chase stayed strong and kept digging. We had a scary moment as one of our competitors jumped the berm on the initial start, and barrel rolled (3-4 flips) over the guardrail! Thank God he was completely unharmed!!! It looked really bad! That incident brought out an immediate red flag as the safety crew was trying to get there quickly! As Chase slowed to a stop, 2 racers, still battling for a position, drove into Chase's left rear and caused significant body damage!!! Thankfully, the track workers were able to pull the bent metal off of Chase's tires allowing Chase to continue without coming into the pits! The next restart, Chase fell to 2nd place and the new leader spun out right in front of him going into turn 3, leaving Chase nowhere to go! It took a wrecker to pull them apart, but again, THANKFULLY, we only had minor damage and was able to continue! Eventually we went green and got a few laps in as Chase was able to check out on the field! The only time anyone got close after that was on the restarts! He cruised on to the checkered flag picking up the BIGGEST money win of his young career!!! He did it clean and precise!

We are very proud of Chase! He has come a long way in a short time!!! I'm also very thankful to be able to share our racing adventures with you all every month! Three wheeled motorcycle vehicles, also called trikes, have been pacing our roadways for decades. Recently, there has been an array of new styles and models emerging on streets around the world. With a resurgence in popularity, well known manufacturers like Honda, HarleyDavidson, Can-Am, Polaris and BRP are putting their own spin on a classic ride. However my favorite of the three wheeled By Candy Cocktail vehicles is the Polaris Slingshot 3 Wheel Motorcycle Car! I was at a gas station when I first saw a bright blue Slingshot pull up next to me and I could not wait to go ask the driver all about his unusual ride. Half car, half motorcycle and all fun, the Slingshot can do 0-60 in 5 seconds. Classified as a three-wheeled motorcycle, the show stopping Polaris Slingshot 3 Wheel Motorcycle Car could be best described as the Batmobile meets dune buggy. Both stable and easy to maneuver, the Slingshot has a top speed of 125 mph. It has sporty handling with 8,500 rpm. Two other three wheeled vehicles, both from Canada based companies that surely get their share of looks and questions, are Bombardier Recreational Products' (BRP) popular three-wheeler, the Can-Am Spyder, and the T-Rex series by Campagna. The Harley-Davidson Freewheeler is another popular three-wheeled trike. Europe has its own variation of three-wheelers; the cyclecars, microcars and bubble cars. With a surge in popularity in 1909, the origin of the first threewheeled model dates back to 1885 when early auto pioneer Karl Benz created various models, including the Benz Patent Motorwagon, which Wikipedia classified as the first purpose-built automobile. Polaris, the Minnesota based powersports company, created the first Slingshot in 2014. Some states are not even sure how to classify the unique vehicle. According to CNBC, the vehicle is commonly called an “auto-cycle” in some states while in South Carolina the Slingshot is simply a “passenger vehicle.” Technically it lacks airbags and does

not meet automotive safety standards, so most states agree that the Slingshot is still a motorcycle. In New Jersey, operators are required to wear a helmet. The vehicle has two front wheels, one ultra wide rear wheel and seating for two with side-by-side, adjustable bucket seats in the partially open cockpit with a doorless frame that lets your feel the wind in your face. The seats are waterproof and the seat height will leave you less than a foot above the road. The vehicle has drain holes in the floorboards so it is ready for any weather on 18 inch forged aluminum wheels. Although the unique ride still features your typical car components like a lockable glove box, push button start-stop, an LCD screen in the media center that is Bluetooth enabled with a backup camera, GPS navigation and controls for the six speaker audio system. Located behind the seats are two lockable trunks, although there is no rear-view mirror. The Polaris Slingshot Motorcycle was originally available in three models, however now there are only two: the Slingshot SL and the top of the line Slingshot R. Made of fiberglass with friction hinge technology, multiport injected fuel system and ergonomic design, it comes in at 51.9 inches high, 149.6 inches long and a width of 77.9 inches. But not to worry, three point seat belts and overhead roll bars above the driver and passenger seats help keep passengers safe. Driving the Slingshot is smooth and easy with its electronic stability control, and the speed sensitive, electronic, power-assisted, rack and pinion steering setup. Until recently, Slingshots were only available with manual transmissions and a 2.4-liter, four-cylinder GM-sourced engine. However for the new 2020 Model, Polaris updated the autocycle with an in-house motor, 203-horsepower engine and an automatic transmission. Ranging from about $1700 for an older, used model online to $33,000 at the top of the line, the autocycle's new 2020 vehicle comes with a $20,000 price tag for the most basic model.
