PHILANTHROPY SPOTLIGHT
Ronn Nicolli AT RESORTS WORLD LAS VEGAS
All red carpets lead to Zouk Nightclub. Since Resorts World Las Vegas opened in 2021, it’s been a who’s who of headlining acts lining up to perform, thanks in large part to a team led by nightlife impresario Ronn Nicolli. The Zouk stages are so in demand, Nicolli is hard pressed to name any possible future “gets.” “If you asked me that question a year and a half ago, I would have mentioned names like Tiësto, Zedd, Jack Harlow, G Eazy, Post Malone, Travis Scott, and Jay Balvin,” said Nicolli. “The reality is they are all here now and we really have brought in some of the greatest talents in the entertainment world to Zouk.” Nicolli has been doing double duty to establish a “runway of awareness” for Resorts World as a key travel destination. Not only is he Zouk Group Vice President of Nightlife, but he was also named Chief Marketing Officer for the Strip property. After 20 years learning the ropes in the evolution of Vegas nightlife, the Ohio transplant says his “untraditional” journey is a dream come true. “Using my education in marketing and a nightlife path to create growth opportunities for myself, it was always a goal of mine to become the CMO of a major resort property here in Las Vegas,” says Nicolli. “Leaders here at RWLV—including Scott Sibella, Peter Lavoie and Doni Taube—have really made me more wellrounded in terms of my knowledge, which has amplified my skill set.” Nicolli prides himself on maintaining a combined 80 years of brand tradition with Resorts World and Zouk Group, and creating great content that gets guests excited so they can have the best nights of their lives. His success in the city has also inspired this married father of two daughters to give back. After volunteering with numerous charities, Nicolli says the Discovery Children’s Museum—a nonprofit dedicated to the educational enrichment of children through hands on, interactive learning—reached out for his help on their 2021 gala and to become a board member. He couldn’t pass up the opportunity to be more active in the community.
“I do not take things for granted,” says Nicolli. “I want to be involved in the next generation, and I want to express gratitude for what the city of Las Vegas has provided for myself and my family, through these years.” He credits his wife of 13 years for getting him here, creating a balance and bridging the divide between life on and off the Strip. “Discovery Children’s Museum really gave me a platform … and a home to be a part of something special and that is very meaningful to me,” admits Nicolli. “I am already thinking of next year’s gala, and what more I can do with them.”
