I pray these lines find all doing well and your Lenten journey has been successful and fruitful. All is well here. As you will soon see – we the clergy are doing great – inn fact, we are in the pink, literally!
Today’s reading provides us with an amazing irony. Our gospel tells of Jesus curing the blind man so that He is now able to see. The irony is that he Pharisees refused to see Jesus for who He truly was. They were not seeing all that was happening around them, miracles were happening, people were being healed by the Lord, yet the Pharisees refused to see it. They were totally blind to the obvious.
This can sometimes happen in our lives as well. Jesus is always with us, and our Heavenly Father shows us in so many ways just how loved we are. This being stated we can be blind to this fact. It can be very easy for us to think that we are on our own, that we are left to ourselves. This is Spiritual blindness and I fear it is rampant in our world today.
I pray that you have the sight to see that Holy eyes are watching over you, loving you throughout your day and throughout your life.
God Bless You!

No Class today. We are hoping that you are all enjoying your Spring Break and using your Lenten Calendars to share some family time over Lent. We are helping your students prepare for Easter and we ask that you do the same. We hope you can make confessions during this time. We do have a Penance service on March 29th at 7:00pm and you can check bulletin for the services at other churches in the area. We have also added Monday and Wednesday evening from 7:00pm to 8:00pm for those who can not make Saturdays at 2:30pm. It is a great thing to do and wonderful to share as a family and to teach the younger kids what a gift Confessions are to us.
Have You Been Confirmed yet?
As Catholics … the three sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist are what are required to become fully initiated into the Church. If you are 18 or older and have never been Confirmed, this might be your blessed day.
Incarnation will be having Adult Confirmation classes beginning the week after Easter. They will be offered in English and Spanish in the evenings.
If you are interested, please call Deacon Matt at 813-884-3624
Monday-Thursday for more info and to set up a meeting with him.
Community Events
Do Something Extraordinary This Lent Live Stations of the Cross Devotion Journey with Jesus down the Via Dolorosa through a live portrayal of the Stations of the Cross. Contemplation of Christ’s suffering brings clearer understanding and deepens our faith and love of God. The 25th annual, live portrayal of the Stations of the Cross will be held at St. Lawrence Catholic Church Friday, March 31, 2023 at 7:30 p.m. All are Welcome!
On April 18, 2023, the Tuesday night Englishspeaking Bible Study group will begin an 8-week study of the Epistle to the Hebrews. This group meets on Zoom.com at 7-9PM. Entitled “Hebrews”, the letter was probably composed as a homily of encouragement to first century Jewish Christians, and now to us, when the demands of living a Christian life in the modern world, cause us to become lukewarm in our faith.
Hebrews: The New and Eternal Covenant, presented by Dr. Andrew Swafford and Jeff Cavins, is a bible study program that draws out the complex themes of the book of Hebrews so Catholics can see, appreciate, and take hold of the riches God has given them in the New Covenant. Each participant will need to purchase a workbook from AscensionPress.com. The cost is $29.95 plus shipping and tax, all totaling $37.20. The workbook includes session overviews, home reading assignments, study questions, helpful responses, and talk notes for the video presentations. Online videos will be accessible for one year.
In addition to the workbook, participants will need a Catholic edition of the Bible, and a copy of the Catechism of the Catholic Church, which are referenced throughout the study. Also, this study group meets online on Zoom.com. Therefore, online access, on a computer with audio and video capabilities, will be necessary for full participation in group meetings.
To enroll, call or text Donna Burch at 813-541-8506.
