OBSTACLES The prophet Ezekiel, Saint Paul, and the Lord Jesus share something in common in today’s scripture readings. They all experience obstacles to their ministry. Ezekiel is summoned to prophesy to the Israelites, who are “[h]ard of face and obstinate of heart” (Ezekiel 2:4). Saint Paul recounts how he has been given a “thorn in the flesh” (2 Corinthians 12:7). The Lord Jesus is unable to perform many signs in his native place. The Gospel tells us that “[he] was amazed at their lack of faith” (Mark 6:6). We too sometimes encounter obstacles as we travel along the journey of faith. So often we experience weakness on this journey. Let the words of the Lord to Saint Paul encourage us today: “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9). READINGS FOR THE WEEK
TODAY’S READINGS First Reading — They shall know that a prophet has been among them (Ezekiel 2:2-5). Psalm — Our eyes are fixed on the Lord, pleading for his mercy (Psalm 123). Second Reading — I am content with weaknesses and hardships for the sake of Christ (2 Corinthians 12:7-10). Gospel — The people said: “Where did this man get all this? Is he not the carpenter, the son of Mary?” (Mark 6:1-6).

Have You Been Confirmed yet? As Catholics … the three sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist are what are required to become fully initiated into the Church. If you are 18 or older and have never been Confirmed, this might be your blessed day. Incarnation will be having Adult Confirmation classes beginning soon. They will be offered in both English and Spanish in the evenings. If you are interested, please call Deacon Matt at 813-884-3624 Monday - Thursday for more info and to set up a meeting with him.
Need to find out Mass times? If you are traveling, you can always find a church and a Mass schedule by visiting www.masstimes.org. May you and your loved ones know the rest, refreshment, and new life that comes only from Christ ̶ during these summer months and always.
When you attend Mass during your summer travels, please bring back an extra copy of the Bulletin for our Parish Office. Good ideas come from all over!

Why register with your Parish? By registering at a parish, you are declaring your desire to be part of a Catholic faith community. If you have recently moved to the area or if you are a long-time resident, please consider registering. You can pick up a form in the main entrance of the church, or stop by the office and fill out the form. The registration form is also available online at www.icctampa.org on the home page, click on the Register under the “About Us” menu. Top Reasons to Register at a Parish A sense of belonging and identity in a parish community. It is a commitment to practice your faith. Registration enables the parish pastor and staff to get to know you better, to welcome you and to minister to you. This is especially important during a time of crisis so that the pastoral staff can attend to your spiritual needs and the needs of your family. Registration helps you stay connected with your parish and helps your parish stay connected with you. Providing your contact information is important so that parishes provide you timely updates via email, direct mail, phone, etc. Once you are registered, please notify the parish office of any changes in address or phone number. Registered active members are eligible for sponsor/godparent validation. Census numbers may determine how many priests are assigned to a parish and how many Masses and enrichment programs are planned and scheduled.

(Marcos 6:1-6). LECTURAS DE LA SEMANA Os 2:16, 17b-18, 21-22; Sal 145 (144):2-9; Mt 9:18-26 Martes: Os 8:4-7, 11-13; Sal 115 (114):3-10; Mt 9:32-38 Miércoles: Os 10:1-3, 7-8, 12; Sal 105 (104):2-7; Mt 10:1-7 Jueves: Os 11:1-4, 8c-9; Sal 80 (79):2ac, 3b, 15-16; Mt 10:7-15 Viernes: Os 14:2-10; Sal 51 (50):3-4, 8-9, 12-14, 17; Mt 10:16-23 Sábado: Is 6:1-8; Sal 93 (92):1-2, 5; Mt 10:24-33 Domingo: Am 7:12-15; Sal 85 (84):9-14; Ef 1:3-14 [3-10]; Mc 6:7-13 Lunes:
