FRUIT OF THE WORD The seed is the word of God. The agricultural metaphors in all of today’s readings give richness to the message that the word of God, cultivated in our hearts, bears much fruit in our lives. Creation itself awaits the redemption of all, even as our bodies await the resurrection. Just as we will rejoice in the fulfillment of God’s word, so will all of creation sing for joy in the Reign of God. The word of God is effective and holy; it brings about exactly what it says. It is not futile or empty, but rich in meaning for those who hear and are healed. Those who hear the word of God and keep it will, with all creation, bear much fruit and sing for joy. READINGS FOR THE WEEK Ex 1:8-14, 22; Ps 124:1b-8; Mt 10:34 — 11:1 Tuesday: Ex 2:1-15a; Ps 69:3, 14, 30-31, 33-34; Mt 11:20-24 Wednesday: Ex 3:1-6, 9-12; Ps 103:1b-4, 6-7; Mt 11:25-27 Thursday: Ex 3:13-20; Ps 105:1, 5, 8-9, 24-27; Mt 11:28-30 Friday: Ex 11:10 — 12:14; Ps 116:12-13, 15, 16bc, 17-18; Mt 12:1-8 Saturday: Ex 12:37-42; Ps 136:1, 23-24, 10-15; Jn 20:1-2, 11-18 Sunday: Wis 12:13, 16-19; Ps 86:5-6, 9-10, 15-16; Rom 8:26-27; Mt 13:24-43 [24-30] Monday:

Faith & Family Women's Group has evolved from Pope Francis's mission of the importance of family life within our Catholic faith. The focus of this new ministry is to provide an opportunity for women of all ages to gather, get to know each other and have fun while building family-focused events the enƟre parish community can enjoy. These simple events will have a wide range of appeal and the Ɵme commitment to parƟcipate is flexible. You choose which events you want to be involved in and how much Ɵme you can give to each. Have more Ɵme in the Summer than the Fall? No problem! Do you prefer to be a behind-the-scenes planner or out in front with the crowd? No maƩer your style, we have a place for you where you can feel comfortable and enjoy parƟcipaƟng!

An Invitation from the Office of the Lay Pastoral Ministry Institute
Pray & Reflect: July 16, The 15th Sunday in Ordinary Time: Is God Calling You to Serve as a Lay Ecclesial Minister in His Church? “Other seeds fell on good soil and brought forth grain, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.” (Mt 13:8) The Parable of the Sower and the Seed guides us into a reflection of how willing we are to grow in receptivity of the Living Word of God and his revealed teachings. We attend Mass but when we leave and are caught up in the noise of life, it steals the words of the Kingdom from our consciousness before they have a chance to take root. Ask yourself: How have you seen God prepare the soil of your heart to make it fertile to receive his Word? How do you provide “good soil” for the faith of others to grow? The LPMI is accepting applications now - to speak with someone about the LPMI program, contact Dale Brown at LPMISEPI@DOSP.ORG or call 727-344-1611, ext. 5458. Program brochures and registration forms are available in the parish office or online at the LPMI website: http://dosp.org/lpmi/ New classes begin September 9, 2017. Is there someone you know that may be interested in attending the LPMI program? Share this info and encourage them to come with you to the Lay Pastoral Ministry Institute! 6

LECTURAS DE LA SEMANA Ex 1:8-14, 22; Sal 124 (123):1b-8; Mt 10:34 — 11:1 Martes: Ex 2:1-15a; Sal 69 (68):3, 14, 30-31, 33-34; Mt 11:20-24 Miércoles: Ex 3:1-6, 9-12; Sal 103 (102):1b-4, 6-7; Mt 11:25-27 Jueves: Ex 3:13-20; Sal 105 (104):1, 5, 8-9, 24-27; Mt 11:28-30 Viernes: Ex 11:10 — 12:14; Sal 116 (115):12-13, 15, 16bc, 17-18; Mt 12:1-8 Sábado: Ex 12:37-42; Sal 136 (135):1, 23-24, 10-15; Jn 20:1-2, 11-18 Domingo: Sab 12:13, 16-19; Sal 86 (85):5-6, 9-10, 15-16; Rom 8:26-27; Mt 13:24-43 [24-30] Lunes:
