Hungering to Know God
Have you ever been in a situation where you’re experiencing a loss or a significant emotional event, but yet must pull yourself together for the sake of others? It might happen to parents or friends who must keep control over their own emotions so that they can be with their children or others who need attention. It also happens to priests. Even our Lord Jesus experienced this as we read in Matthew’s Gospel. Jesus has been told of the death of John the Baptist and feels sorrow, such that He needs some alone time. Yet the people still hungered for His word and followed Him to the shore. Their location was a good distance from town, and no one had planned to be that far from town where the food was. The disciples recommended that the followers be left to fend for themselves. Jesus instead instructs the disciples to take care of them. That must have been shocking to the twelve, who only had a couple of fish and five loaves of bread. But they were obedient and did what Jesus asked. Jesus took the bread, said a blessing, broke it and gave it to them. Sounds familiar doesn’t it? Not only did the five loaves and two fish feed 5000 people, they had 12 baskets of leftovers. It was a miracle. There are many lessons drawn from this experience. It shows us that when we believe and put our trust in God, the things that seem impossible are, in fact, possible when we do our best to focus on the needs of others. Jesus needed some time alone to gather His thoughts and reconnect with the Father after the loss of John the Baptist. Instead of being angry or questioning John’s death, He served those gathered and gave thanks to God for the food that was provided. This was also a precursor to the miracle we experience each time we go to Mass and receive the Eucharist. By surrendering the difficult times we’re going through, and turning them over to the Lord, we can experience the miracles that life brings us every day. doing well. We at the office are doing well, we had another health scare but are past it and looking ahead hoping this will be the last of the scares. I was speaking with a friend of mine in Massachusetts, he was telling me that in the news – there they are hearing of days where nobody new has the virus, no new cases. He is also telling me that the strictness of masks and self-isolating is off the charts, in a good way. The police WILL give a ticket to anyone without a mask. My prayer is that WE as a state will take example and take our situation a lot more seriously. In today’s Gospel we hear of a miracle. Jesus fed so many with so little. The kernel I always love about this Gospel passage is the true simplicity of the miracle. Jesus was never one for theatrics anyway, and everything attributed to Jesus He would re-direct the crowd to give the glory to His Heavenly Father. Jesus simply looked up to Heaven and broke the loaves – knowing that God would provide for the needs of the people. In a very similar way – God knows our needs. We are always to pray to God and be in communication with our Heavenly Father. I know when I was young and very immature in my faith I only went to God when I needed something, when in my estimation, a miracle was required. And where I do ask for what I need from God, I only ask once, I know God hears me the first time, I also know that if it is for my good, it will happen. God is so involved in each and every aspect of our lives, I pray we each sense and see that in our lives. God Bless You! Love, Fr. Mike

Our Public Masses Have Resumed With Nuestra Misas Publicas Se Reanuden Con Revised Mass Schedule and Safety Horario de Misas Revisado y Protocolos Protocols In Effect de Seguridad En Efecto (We are requesting our parishioners to please wear a mask during Mass).
Here are some details of some changes to expect. The dispensation from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass is still in effect and will be until further notice. Everyone must use main entrance and follow the instructions of the ushers. Please be patient. The side doors are ONLY emergency exits. Incarnation is limited to a maximum seating of 128 due to social distancing. They are marked by green crosses. Once we reach 128 people there will be no more permitted to enter. People who live in the same home may sit together. Ushers will greet each person and show them to their seat. In order to properly disinfect after each Mass, the Sunday schedule will be:
Saturday 4:00 pm Sunday 7am, 9am & 11am, Spanish at 1pm Please limit private prayer after mass to no longer than 5 minutes so our volunteers can properly disinfect the church. The chapel and cry room will remain closed. There will be a collection basket at the entrance. No basket will be passed around and there will be no basket bearers. Hand sanitizer dispensers are in the Narthex as you enter and leave. No holding hands at Our Father and no contact peace. Ushers will direct section by section in a single line at three communion spots. Communion is ONLY distributed on the hand, not the tongue, for the time being at Incarnation. Please respect other’s space in communion line with proper distance.

A continuación, detalles de algunos cambios a implementar: Continúa la dispensa de no asistir a la Misa de Domingo, hasta próximo aviso. Los ujieres (acomodadores) cortésmente le indicarán los espacios disponibles. Las personas que viven en una misma casa pueden sentarse juntos en el mismo banco. En atención al hecho de que debemos desinfectar los bancos después de cada misa, el horario de celebración de misas es como sigue:
Sábado: 4:00 p.m. Domingo: 7am, 9am & 11am, 1:00 p.m. en Español La capilla y el cuarto para familias con niños pequeños permanecerán cerrados. Canasta de colecta: las encontraremos a la entrada. No pasaremos la canasta dentro de la misa y por el momento las especies para la consagración serán colocados en la mesa cerca del altar en lugar de llevarlos en procesión. Tendrá la oportunidad de higienizar sus manos a la entrada/ salida del templo. No unirnos de manos durante el Padre Nuestro; no contacto en el saludo de la Paz. Los Ujieres dirigen a los comulgantes a formar una sola fila para la comunión, la cual se hará por sección, habrán tres estaciones para recibir la Comunión. Por el momento, La Comunión será distribuida solo en la mano, no sobre la lengua. Por favor mantenga la distancia entre personas en la fila para recibir la Comunión.

The Sea of Galilee obeyed Your order and returned to its former quietude. You are still the Master of land and sea. We live in the shadow of a danger over which we have no control: the Gulf, like a provoked and angry giant, can awake from its seeming lethargy, overstep its conventional boundaries, invade our land, and spread chaos and disaster. During this hurricane season we turn to You, O loving Father. Spare us from past Tragedies whose memories are still so vivid and whose wounds seem to refuse to heal with passing of time. O Virgin, Star of the Sea, Our beloved Mother, we ask you to Plead with your Son on our behalf, so that spared from the calamities common to this area and animated with a true spirit of gratitude, we will walk in the footsteps of your Divine Son to reach the heavenly Jerusalem, where storm less eternity awaits us. Hambre por conocer a Dios
¿Alguna vez has estado en una situación donde estas viviendo la pérdida de alguien o un evento emocional significativo, y aun así has tenido que reponerte por el bien de los demás? Le puede suceder a padres de familias o amigos que han tenido que mantenerse en dominio de sus propias emociones para así poder estar con sus hijos o demás personas que necesiten de su atención. También así les sucede a los sacerdotes. Al nosotros leer el Evangelio de san Mateo vemos que hasta nuestro Señor Jesucristo pasó por esto. A Jesús le dijeron sobre la muerte de Juan Bautista y sintió dolor, de tal modo que necesitó tiempo a solas. Aun así, la gente estaba hambrienta de oír su palabra y lo siguieron a la orilla. Estaban localizados a una buena distancia del pueblo y nadie había planeado estar tan lejos del pueblo donde estaban los alimentos. Los discípulos recomendaron que los seguidores se alimentaran ellos mismos. Jesús en cambio les pidió a los discípulos que les dieran de comer. Eso tuvo que ser sorprendente para los doce, pues solo tenían un par de peces y cinco panes. Pero ellos eran obedientes e hicieron lo que Jesús le pidió. Jesús tomo el pan, lo bendijo, lo partió y se los dio. ¿Suena familiar verdad? No solo los cinco panes y dos peces alimentaron a 5,000 personas, sino que sobró 12 canastas de panes y peces. Fue un milagro. Podemos ver muchas enseñanzas de esta experiencia. Nos demuestra que cuando creemos y ponemos nuestra confianza en Dios, las cosas que perecen imposible son de hecho posible cuando hacemos lo mejor por enfocarnos en las necesidades de los demás. Jesús necesitó tiempo a solas para pensar y volver a conectarse con el Padre después de la pérdida de Juan Bautista. En vez de sentir coraje o cuestionar la muerte de Juan, Él les sirvió a los que estaban reunidos y dio gracias a Dios por la comida provista. Este evento fue también precursor al milagro del cual somos testigos cada vez que vamos a Misa y recibimos la Eucaristía. Al rendirnos ante estos tiempos difíciles que estamos pasando y entregarlos a Jesús, podemos ver los milagros que la vida nos trae cada día. Ten la valentía hoy de alimentar a alguien que esté hambriento por conocer a Dios. -Monseñor Gregory Parkes

Segunda lectura — Nada podrá apartarnos del amor de Dios que encontramos en Cristo Jesús (Romanos 8:35, 37-39). Evangelio — Todos comieron hasta saciarse (Mateo 14:13-21).
buena salud de alma y de cuerpo. En la oficina parroquial todos estamos bien, tuvimos otro susto relacionado con asuntos relacionados a la salud, gracias a Dios que este haya sido el último. Estaba hablando con un amigo que vive en Massachusetts, quien me estaba contando que en las noticias de su pueblo, están disfrutando del hecho que no ha habido ningún caso nuevo del virus que tanto nos ha afectado como nación. También me ha dicho que el uso de las máscaras y el aislamiento dentro de sus casas, ha sido altamente efectivo. Miembros de la policía de hecho les dan un ticket a cualquier persona que encuentren en las calles sin el uso de una máscara. Estoy orando para que todos nosotros en esta comunidad estemos respetando nuestra saludad y la del prójimo. En el Evangelio de hoy escuchamos de un milagro. Jesús dio de comer a tantos, con tan poco. El sentido que siempre amo de este pasaje bíblico es la verdadera simplicidad del milagro. Jesús nunca demostró ser simpatizante de hacer algo para llamar la atención, y cuando alguna persona quiso atribuirle la gloria, en seguida les orientaba dirigiéndoles a dar la gloria a Su Padre Celestial. Jesús simplemente miraba hacia el Cielo y partía los panes – sabiendo que Dios había de proveer las necesidades de la gente. Dios conoce nuestras necesidades de una forma muy similar. Y a nosotros nos toca permanecer en comunicación con nuestro Padre Celestial. Recuerdo que cuando yo era un jovencito inmaduro en mi fe, solo aclamaba a Dios cuando necesitaba algo, cuando en mi opinión, la situación requería de un milagro. Y hoy, cuando siento que necesito el favor de Dios, le pido una sola vez, porque sé que Dios me oye aunque le pida una sola vez; también reconozco que se me concederá sólo si es para bien. Dios está involucrado en cada aspecto de nuestra vida; ruego que cada un de nosotros sienta y vea esta verdad en su vida. Dios les Bendiga Con mi cariño, Padre Mike
