All is great here at Incarnation, both parish and school are doing very well. Pumpkin season (coffee wise) is here once again, so you have one happy pastor!
This weekend’s Gospel is once again one which gives us pause and calls us to look at our faith life and really take inventory. None of us< I pray, would ever want to hear from Jesus – depart from me for I do not know you. A real relationship with Jesus is required for us to have a happy and fulfilled life. By way of a clarification please allow me to give an example of what is not a relationship. Now this is just an example, love and respect the guy but Abraham Lincoln, we may have read and studied everything there is to know about the man, however, this does not constitute a relationship. Unfortunately, some know about Jesus in just the same way, the person has read the Scriptures, can even quote the Scriptures, read every book available about Jesus. This knowledge however does not mean there is a relationship. There needs to be a daily connection in much the same way that you connect and communicate with those you love. You would not enter the home of someone you do not know or have some sort of relationship with, why is it any different that we think we can enter Heaven with no personal relationship with God? I will close so we can all ponder that question. I pray you have a great week! God Bless You!! Love, Fr. Mike

Diocesan Media Day is set for Sunday, September 25th
The Catholic Church celebrates three holy angels of God on September 29th, the Feast of the Archangels. The word angel means “messenger,” and angels are known for delivering messages from God to his people. That’s why St. Gabriel the Archangel is the patron of Catholic commun icators and broadcasters, including media ministries of the Diocese of St. Petersburg that help us stay connected to our faith. These ministries share messages about the hope that is found in Jesus Christ. That’s why Bishop Gregory Parkes is asking parishes to set aside Sunday, September 25th, 2022, as Diocesan Media Day. The purpose of Diocesan Media Day is to raise awareness for the mission of diocesan media ministries and to invite parishioners to listen to Spirit FM 90.5 and subscribe to receive a free e-newsletter from www.GulfCoastCatholic.org.

Again, thank you for your generous support and God bless you.

Morning Bible Study Group the Bible Timeline, The Story of Salvation You are invited to join the Wednesday Morning Bible Study Group as we start this very interesting and informative 24 session program. Whether you are new to Bible study or have been reading and studying the Bible for years, you will find this a very worthwhile program. We will begin meeting on Wednesday, September 21 from 9-10:45am in an online format using Zoom. Presenter Jeff Cavin’s will show us via video presentations how 14 of the Bible’s narrative books tell the Biblical story from beginning to end and will give us the keys to understanding the amazing story woven throughout Scripture. We will learn the major people, places, and events of the Bible and discover how they all come together to reveal the remarkable story of our Faith. For more information or to sign up for this study, please contact Nancy Militello at 813-205-0329 with your name, phone number and email address. Material cost is $37.95 plus postage for a workbook, timeline chart, and one-year access to the study videos. In order to fully benefit from the study and participate in our weekly discussions, you will need to prepare by reading selected portions of Scripture and reviewing study questions from your workbook each week.
Revelation: The Kingdom Yet to Come is an intriguing eleven-session study program from Ascension Press that shows how we, the Church established by Christ on earth, are intimately connected with the kingdom of heaven. In this study, presenter Jeff Cavins pulls back the veil on the rich symbolism present in Revelation. Discover what the mysterious figures and images of Revelation mean and see how Revelation is more than an apocalyptic vision of the “end times.” Explore the Church’s teaching on the second coming of Christ and the Last Judgment. Understand how God, the Divine Bridegroom, and the Church, his spotless bride, enter into a heavenly, holy, and mystical marriage every time we celebrate Mass. To join this study, contact Donna Burch at (813) 541-8506 with your name, email address, and phone number, then order your program package directly from AscensionPress.com. Click on bible studies, Revelation: The Kingdom Yet To Come, to order your individual study program package. The cost is $29.95 plus postage for a Workbook, Online Video Access for one year, and an Online Workbook. You will need to read the Program Introduction prior to the first meeting, and it is advisable to also watch the online talk related to the Introduction. You will be invited by email just prior to 7PM on September 6 to join the first study group session. Each following session will also have homework, which will prepare you to participate in discussions.

Registration has begun for Faith Formation classes, and we are asking for those that may teach now or have taught in the past to contact the Faith Formation Office if they would like to be a catechist. We have been blessed with an amazing Group of catechists, but we have a few, who after many dedicated years have retired from this part of their stewardship. With that in mind we do need some catechist and assistant catechist. If you feel God is calling you to help pass on our Faith to the children and youth of our Parish, please contact Deacon Matt or Judy Licari at (813) 884-3624 and see where your gifts and talents can be used.

If you were one in years past or maybe never have been but always wanted to … well now’s your chance. However, there are some masses with no servers present and we would like to fill those vacancies. Training will be held in the near future. So, if you feel the call to participate more in the mass by being an Altar Server, please contact deacon Matt at 813-884-3624 or email at dff@icctampa.org.
