I pray these lines find all doing well. I’m guessing you are all familiar with the books entitled “Where’s Waldo.” For those who are not familiar they are simply search books, Waldo is somewhere in the picture, but he is tough to find. This weekend you may feel like you are playing the game – “Where’s Fr. Mike” because I will be tough to find- in fact it will be impossible to find me as I will not be in the parish this weekend. I have a wedding of a former Parishioner from St. James on Saturday afternoon. Following that I will be taking a few days off as I really did not get “time off” between parishes and that is usually the norm. I am now moved in and settled at Incarnation so I will enjoy a few days of rest at the new “digs.” Please take good care of Fr. Brian and Fr. Francisco for me as well as Deacon Matt and Deacon Ramon. God has really gifted me with wonderful clergy to work alongside. I will see you all next weekend. God Bless You! Love, Fr. Mike
TODAY’S READINGS First Reading — Brothers and sisters of every race and language will be brought to Jerusalem (Isaiah 66:18-21). Psalm — Go out to all the world and tell the Good News (Psalm 117). Second Reading — Strengthen your drooping hands and your weak knees (Hebrews 12:5-7, 11-13). Tuesday Night English Bible Study Group
Incarnation’s Tuesday Night English Bible Study Group will begin Ascension Press’ eight week study, “Unlocking the Mystery of the Bible” on September 3rd from 7:00-9:00pm. The Bible is at the heart of our faith and our relationship with God. It is the place where our Heavenly Father speaks to us with love. It is a rich source of wisdom, encouragement, instruction and solace. In this study, dynamic presenter Jeff Cavins will show you how to read the Bible so that you can actually understand it. Aided by a color-coded Bible TimelineTM Chart that arranges the key people, places, and events of Scripture in chronological order, Unlocking the Mystery of the Bible will help you discover the story of salvation history and understand how you fit into God’s marvelous plan of salvation. The cost for a workbook is $19.95. Each participant will also need a Catholic bible and should have access to a copy of the Catechism of the Catholic Church. For additional information or to enroll, please call either Donna Burch at 813-541-8506 or Peggy Kelly at 813855-8025.
Rejoice in the resurrection! Thank you to the households that have responded generously to the 2019 Annual Pastoral Appeal. A follow-up message will be going out to those who have not yet made a commitment, with an invitation to be a conscious, active participant in the mission of our Church with a gift to the Annual Pastoral Appeal. If you have not yet made a pledge or gift, please prayerfully consider sharing a portion of the blessings you have received to help to advance our mission of love and mercy in Jesus’ name to uphold God’s kingdom here in our local Church. Every gift is courageous, no gift is too small and each gift changes a life. You can make a one-time gift, or you can pledge an amount that is payable over 10 months. Our parish wants and needs your active participation and support.
