TWENTY-FIFTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME PARISH OFFICE Hours: 9am - 4pm 5124 Gateway Dr. Tampa, FL 33615 Ph. 813.885.7861 | www.icctampa.org SCHOOL OFFICE 5111 Webb Rd. Tampa, FL 33615 Ph. 813.884.4502 Fax: 813.885.3734 | www.icstampa.org.org

I pray these lines find all doing well. All continues to be well here at Incarnation – after all – we are in pumpkin season so how could anything be bad? LOL This weekend we hopefully learn about humility and what it is to be truly humble. Being humble will help us to realize whether we are on the right track, spiritually, or not. In general, we are always called to see others on the same plane as we see ourselves – we are not place ourselves or others in different levels of importance – we should be respecting everyone and see no one as - below us. By the same token we are not to see ourselves as below others. Each and every one of us is a child of God – that is first and foremost how we are to look at everyone. The disciples were arguing amongst themselves as to who was the greatest – grown men trying to figure out who is the best, amazing! But as I write this, I guess we as a people have not changed that much, which of course is why it made the Scriptures in the first place – we still need to hear and learn that lesson. Little children, before society gets a hold of them, see everyone the same. They are welcoming, they give everyone the benefit of the doubt and they do not see people as one being better than another. That is the beautiful image given to us of Jesus embracing that child. If only we as adults had the ability to see like children do, maybe someday. Have a great week, God Bless You! Love, Fr. Mike

This process begins September 12th. Catechists Needed!

Registration has begun for Faith Formation classes, and we are asking for those that may teach now or have taught in the past to contact the Faith Formation Office if they would like to be a catechist. We have been blessed with an amazing Group of catechists, but we have a few, who after many dedicated years have retired from this part of their stewardship. With that in mind we do need some catechist and assistant catechist. If you feel God is calling you to help pass on our Faith to the children and youth of our Parish, please contact Deacon Matt or Judy Licari at (813) 884-3624 and see where your gifts and talents can be used. Please welcome the following children who were baptized here at Incarnation in the month of August: Liana Pax Calotes Macerena Jaramillo-Fruhwald Layla Marie Jarquin Bryson Antonio Reyes Matteo Giraldo Leon Nazly Hernandez Fleitas Dairon Molina Giavazzi Angelica Maria Nunez Fuenmayor Mia Chiquinquira Albarran Casanova

With the prayers and help of their parents, godparents, and this community, may the Holy Spirit fill them abundantly with His Grace at every moment of their lives. If you would like to have your child baptized, please call Deacon Matt @813-884-3624. 5
