Please save the date, Saturday, October 12, 2019. Fr. Mike will be installed as pastor of Incarnation Church at the 4:30pm Mass. A light reception will follow in St. Michael’s Hall. I pray these lines find all doing well. Things are great here, I’m getting quite the pumpkin education. People who read this article last week have told me about so many pumpkin items; pumpkin biscotti, pumpkin Cheerios, pumpkin fudge, pumpkin yogurt, pumpkin pancakes and waffles, pumpkin ravioli and I’m told I may be receiving pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. Trust me, being surrounded by all this pumpkin it would be really tough to take the smile off my face! Today’s Gospel reminds us to stay the course in our faith journey, remembering that our faith is itself a gift. That being stated we also have many other gifts and are called to share them with others. In sharing our gifts, we are showing that it is indeed God whom we belong to. Because you are reading this there is a good chance that you are at Mass which is great. That being stated there is a really good chance that you are not overly caught up in the world. We are in the world not of the world, we are here for only a time. I also want to take this time to thank many of you for your responses to my articles. I am not on social media at all but one of my parishioners sends me all the responses and comments so again, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You. God Bless You! Love, Fr. Mike
TODAY’S READINGS First Reading — The Lord never forgets the sins of those who take advantage of the poor (Amos 8:4-7). Psalm — Praise the Lord who lifts up the poor (Psalm 113). Second Reading — God our savior wills everyone to be saved (1 Timothy 2:1-8). Gospel — The one who is trustworthy in small matters is also trustworthy in great ones (Luke 16:1-13 [10-13]).

By registering at a parish, you are declaring your desire to be part of a Catholic faith community. If you have recently moved to the area or if you are a long-time resident, please consider registering. You can pick up a form in the main entrance of the church, or stop by the office and fill out the form. The registration form is also available online at www.icctampa.org on the home page, click on the Register under the “About Us” menu. Top Reasons to Register at a Parish A sense of belonging and identity in a parish community. It is a commitment to practice your faith. Registration enables the parish pastor and staff to get to know you better, to welcome you and to minister to you. This is especially important during a time of crisis so that the pastoral staff can attend to your spiritual needs and the needs of your family. Registration helps you stay connected with your parish and helps your parish stay connected with you. Providing your contact information is important so that parishes provide you timely updates via email, direct mail, phone, etc. Once you are registered, please notify the parish office of any changes in address or phone number. Registered active members are eligible for sponsor/godparent validation.
Gracias, Muchas Gracias, Gracias a Todos! Que Dios les Bendiga! En el Amor de Dios, les Saluda, Padre Mike.
