I pray these lines find all doing well. This week we celebrate the fourth Sunday of Advent. Last week we lit the (dusty Rose) pink candle symbolizing that we are more than half-way there. Again, I am writing this way early so by the time you read this we have three more days until we celebrate God’s greatest gift to the world. One of my favorite children’s specials is “Santa Clause is coming to town.” The reason for my love for this particular special is not just because Santa had a red beard that later turned white – much like an aging pastor we all know BUT rather, because it tells the story of how Santa would deliver toys all year round whenever there was a need. He realized he would be extremely busy all the time decided to pick one day of the year to deliver the toys and he chose Christmas because it was the holiest day of the year when God gave us the holiest of all gifts – the gift of God’s own Son. I have always loved that from the time I was a little child until now - as a big child! By the time you read this many of you will be on vacation from school, you may even be on vacation from work. Wherever you find yourself, I pray that all of you have a Blessed Christmas celebration with family and friends! Merry Christmas God Bless you all!!! Love, Fr. Mike
