THE CATHOLIC CHURCH — HERE COMES EVERYBODY This popular way of describing the universality of our Church is a theme of today’s readings. The prophet Isaiah tells of God’s servant who will be the “light of the nations.” It will not be enough for this servant only to bring back the survivors of Israel’s dispersion and captivity. God’s salvation must reach to the ends of the earth. Saint Paul writes to a local church of mainly Gentiles and presumably former sinners of all kinds in Corinth. He greets them and tells them that they are to take their place with “saints everywhere” in the name of Jesus Christ. The Gospel reading from John tells of Jesus’ commissioning by the Father in the Holy Spirit to bring salvation to all, to take away the sins of the world. This Chosen One has come to baptize the world in God’s Spirit. Everybody. As you hear these words, consider your own task to bring the good news of salvation to everyone you will meet in the coming days, weeks, years. Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co.

Did you know that our parish has a Traditional Latin Mass said every Sunday?

BIBLE STUDY The Acts of the Apostles provides us more than a history of the First Christians - it is the story about the Early Church with the Holy Spirit as the protagonist. Christ did not leave His Apostles alone - He sent the Holy Spirit to guide, instruct and equip them. Enrich and deepen your faith as you learn how the Apostles continued Christ’s mission on earth through the Power of the Holy Spirit. Join us for Acts: The Spread of the Kingdom beginning Monday, January 27, 2014 at 7:00pm in Classroom One. For more information or to register for the study, contact either Carmen Cayon at 813-885-7861 or via email ccayon@icctampa.org or Martin Butler at 813-928-2083 or via email meb0613@verizon.net

"Proeliatores Dei" is our parish's young adult group. Young adult parishioners ages 18-28 are welcome to join us every Thursday night from 7:30 - 9:00 in the Lion's Lair for faith, fun, and fraternity. For more information, please go to our website: www.thewarriorsofgod.org or call Fr. Philip at the church office (813-885-7861). We hope to see you there! 4|

Come experience the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass as it was celebrated for centuries, the Mass many of your favorite saints would have attended. The Latin Mass is celebrated by Fr. Philip Clement, Fr. Patrick Hough, S.J., and Fr. Paul Mangiafico and is offered every Sunday at 4:30pm. If you would like to experience the Latin Mass in its fullness, come on the last Sunday of the month for the Solemn High Mass and hear the Latin Mass Schola sing their beautiful Gregorian Chant, or come to a High Mass on either the second or third Sunday of the month and hear the beautiful singing as well. For a quieter, more sublime experience, consider coming to the Low Mass offered on the first Sunday of the month. Come experience part of our Catholic heritage. 41ST ANNIVERSARY OF ROE V. WADE On January 22, 1973, the U.S. Supreme Court made the decision to legalize abortion. Since then, more than 55 million children's lives have been lost to abortion, and the lives of millions of their parents have been shattered. Read the Statement of the Catholic Bishops of Florida in English and Spanish at www.life.dosp.org. A focused period of prayer, penance and pilgrimage will be set aside from Saturday, January 18 through Sunday, January 26. For more information, visit www.9daysforlife.com.

FAREWELL DEACON FRANK To our Incarnation family, Barbara and I want to thank you for the last 23 years of friendship. Beginning the weekend of February 1st we will be changing parishes and being assigned to the USF Catholic Student Center. We will never forget that it was this Incarnation family that brought us back to the Church and a closer walk with our Lord. It’s very hard to leave a place where so many life events took place such as our children’s sacraments as well as ours. Barbara and I wish all of you God’s blessings, please know you are in our prayers and we trust that we are in yours. God Bless, Deacon Frank and Barbara Please join us as we bid farewell to Deacon Frank & Barbara. A farewell reception will be held in St. Michael’s Hall next Sunday after the 9am, 10:30am & 12pm Masses.

—Fray Gilberto Cavazos-Glz, OFM, Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co.
