Casino Night 2014 was the fifth annual for Incarnation Parish. The event grows each year with the continued support of its parishioners. Thanks to the Incarnation Casino Committee, led by Connie Hennessey, committee chairperson for their hard work and dedication in making this a successful event once again. Thanks to the sponsors and everyone who made a donation of food, gifts for the baskets, and to those who attended the event. The proceeds of this event are going towards a new electronic sign for the school and parish.
GIVE BETTER THAN YOU RECEIVE Jesus’ words in today’s Gospel continue to contrast the Jewish law and practice with the practice of the followers of Jesus. Today’s Gospel continues with slight variations the formulation: “You have heard . . .” and “What I say to you is . . .” The old laws of retaliation were once created to soften the severe and vengeful retaliations common among the peoples that surrounded the struggling people of God. The would-be followers of Jesus again feel surrounded by people bent on retaliation. So Matthew presents Jesus, who asks his followers not only not to retaliate at all but to “turn the other cheek.” He asks that his listeners give the one who asks more than he or she seeks. Jesus asks us to love and pray for those of our home country and the alien, the ones who love us and the ones who hate us. Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co.

In Faith Formation we are blessed to have some amazing youth who assist a catechist every Sunday with various duties in the classrooms. There are some who want to share their faith and take the lead on a class with the help of the catechist; they get together to put a lesson plan together and share ideas of how to present the lesson. In Mr. David’s 5th grade class one of his teen aides, Kristen Gajewski did just that, she prepared a lesson on the sacrament of Baptism and presented it to the students. It was a great class and the students all got involved!!
Youth Ministry began on Wednesday, Feb. 12th . If you are an 8th – 12th grader please come to St. John’s Room every Wednesday from 7-9PM. BRING A FRIEND!! FIRST COMMUNION WORKSHOP

No escatimó nada.
Quedan rotas, pues, nuestras matemáticas y proporciones.

—George Herbert
