GRADES PRE-K - 5TH See As God Sees In today’s Gospel, Jesus recognizes the blind man as one who has been made in God’s image and likeness. Jesus demonstrated God’s goodness to all by healing the blind man. By giving to Catholic Relief Services’ Operation Rice Bowl, we support health programs in Honduras and around the world, which continue the healing work of Jesus and demonstrate God’s love for all of our human family.

Reminder there is NO Faith Formation next Sunday, so all the families may enjoy a weekend at the Parish Carnival. Please don’t forget to stop by the Basket Booth and take a chance on the baskets you all donated to.

Please continue to pray for the children preparing for the Sacrament of First Communion which they will be receiving on May 15th. May God continue to grow in their hearts.

Fourth Sunday of Lent

Fourth Sunday of Lent April 3, 2011 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. — Psalm 23:1 LIGHT “Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light” (Ephesians 5:14). We are at the midpoint of our Lenten journey of conversion. As always, God never gives up on us, especially those who have “fallen asleep” along the road to conversion. The most powerful stories of conversion are proclaimed during these final weeks of Lent. They have the power to shake us out of our sleep. Today’s Gospel story of the healing of the man born blind exposes the real blindness in the time of Christ—the blindness of the self-righteous religious leaders. In a few weeks, at the Easter Vigil, the Church will proclaim “Christ our Light” as the paschal candle is carried into darkened churches throughout the world. May the darkness of sin that still pervades our lives, communities, and world, be dispelled by the Christ who comes to bring sight to the blind and light to the world. © Copyright, J. S. Paluch Co.

April 3, 2011

On the weekend of April 16 & 17, 2011 the IMMACULATE MARY QUEEN OF HEAVEN MISSIONARIES will be visiting Incarnation Church. They are ministering women and children victims of prostitution and human trafficking in the Philippines. They rescue and rehabilitate them in their center called the “HOME OF LOVE”. These women and children undergo holistic programs such as physical, psychological, spiritual rehabilitation. When they are ready they are given livelihood training or they are sent to school upon proper evaluation. They are given all the assistance they need until such time that they are ready to be re-integrated to society to live decent lives. They have a program on helping very poor children in the rural areas who are endangered of being lured into prostitution without help. These children are sent to school to protect them from recruiters who are targeting them. Sr. Ma. Corazon J. Salazar, IMQHM will be displaying religious objects made by these women as well as the parents of the students and CDs with original music by the sisters to support these projects. The IMQHM sisters are inviting you to be their mission partners in saving these souls.
