GRADES PRE-K – 5TH Your Attitude Must Be Christ’s We hear in sacred scripture this weekend how Christ redeemed us not by a one-time small gift, but by becoming one of us and giving His whole self even unto death on a Cross. How or what are you giving to others to be more like Christ? Please take time as a family this week to participate in all the beautiful Liturgies being offered in our parish to help you enter into a wonderful Easter season and a closer relationship with Jesus Christ. Check the bulletin for times. There is NO Faith Formation next Sunday.

“Hosanna to the Son of David; blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord; hosanna in the highest” (Matthew 21:9). With these words the Church enters the holiest of weeks, commemorating the passion, death, and resurrection of Christ. When the people of Jerusalem cried out with their “hosannas,” they were using an ancient Hebrew shout of acclamation that meant “Pray, save us.” The king to whom they were shouting eventually would save them, but in a way that would be far from what they expected. Salvation would come from the wood of the cross as Jesus hung there to bring freedom from sin and life through death, opening the gates of heaven for all who put their faith and trust in him.© Copyright, J. FEAST OF FAITH The Liturgies of Holy Week Holy Week is the culmination of the liturgical year. During these holy days, the liturgy will lead us, with Jesus, to the depths and to the heights. It begins with a harsh juxtaposition, as we carry palms in remembrance of Christ’s triumphant entry into Jerusalem and then listen to the Passion according to Matthew, as the King is handed over for crucifixion. Then, on Holy Thursday, we remember the night Jesus was handed over—the night he gave himself for us and to us, to live in our midst forever in the sacrament of his Body and Blood. On Good Friday, we touch with our hands the mystery of the Lord’s cross, the instrument of torture that has become the tree of life. Then, at the great Easter Vigil, the lighting of the paschal candle speaks to us of the triumph of light over darkness, of life over death. The resurrection of the Lord becomes a living reality in our midst as the catechumens for whom the Church has prayed throughout Lent are plunged into the mystery of Christ’s death and share in the glory of his resurrection. These are indeed holy days, the culmination of the Church’s liturgy, and an invitation to participate in the very life of Christ. Come, let us worship. —Corinna Laughlin, © Copyright, J. S. This weekend, the IMMACULATE MARY QUEEN OF HEAVEN MISSIONARIES are visiting Incarnation Church. They minister to women and children who are victims of prostitution and human trafficking in the Philippines. They rescue and rehabilitate them in their center called the “HOME OF LOVE”. These women and children undergo holistic programs such as physical, psychological, spiritual rehabilitation. When they are ready, they are given livelihood training or they are sent to school upon proper evaluation. They are given all the assistance they need until such time that they are ready to be re-integrated to society to live decent lives. Their program helps very poor children in rural areas who are in danger of being lured into prostitution. These children are sent to school to protect them from the recruiters who are targeting them. Sr. Ma. Corazon J. Salazar will be selling religious objects made by the women and the parents of the children. CDs with original music by the sisters will also be sold to support their projects.
All golfers will be handicapped. Lunch & dinner served.

© Copyright, J.
