LENTEN PROJECT AND VISIT TO CRISTO REY DEL UNIVERSO PAROCHIAL SCHOOL I take this moment to express my deepest gratitude to the families of Incarnation Catholic Church, Pastor, the Very Rev. Michael, Fr. Philip and Fr. Jairo, as well as all who collaborated in the big task of the Lenten Project to benefit our Cristo Rey Parochial School. This gesture has revolutionized our community, whose inhabitants feel supported by your efforts in the solution of some of the needs that would have otherwise gone unsatisfied had it not been for your authentic gesture of love in Jesus Christ and those in need. The children, the teachers and I, feel extremely grateful to the community of Incarnation for a most beautiful gesture of love and generosity. We continue to offer our prayers for the families that have made possible this generous contribution. Receive my warm regards, in thanksgiving for your kindness, Rev. Fr. José Luis Rosario Núñez Pastor, Parroquia Cristo Rey del Universo Exec. Dir.

FR. MICHAEL’S VISIT TO CRISTO REY CATHOLIC SCHOOL
Fr. Michael had the privilege of sharing a delicious and abundant lunch with the children of the Cristo Rey Parochial School. As you can see he also served lunch. The children thought that was awesome, especially since he was also offering healthy portions and even seconds! The children, teachers, local guests and collaborators thought this was the most significant event that the community had ever been involved in since they can remember. All this and more, thanks to your generosity through the 2014 Lenten Project. More to come in other issues of our bulletin.

Quarterly Report to the Parish The results presented at this time represent three quarter fiscal period ending on March 31, 2014. Net Income shows a deficit of almost $25,000.

Revenues
Three Quarters Ending 3/31/2014 Budget (3/4 of Annual Total) Actual vs Budget
Most weeks if you look at the bulletin, you will see that we fall short of our weekly collection goal of $23,000. However it should be noted that these results do not reflect collections taken over the usually strong Easter weekend nor is the impact of the carnival reflected in any way. These two positive forces should make a balanced budget for the remainder of the year a good possibility.

We keep the church on an even keel financially by managing our expenses in response to our income. When we did the budget, we identified several projects including the programmed replacement of obsolete air conditioning equipment and addressing the sound system problems in the church that would be addressed if collections would improve. We have been unable to address either of these projects thus far.

Another positive note not reflected in any of these numbers is your response to the Annual Pastoral Appeal (APA) for 201415. You have already pledged $167,000 toward our goal of $199,667 for the new campaign year. These numbers will not be reflected in the financials until our September results are reported.
Revenues The first collection ran behind our $23,000 per week parish goal with a 10% budget shortfall for three quarters. Other Revenues are low due to the timing of the carnival results which are not yet included.
If you have any specific questions regarding parish financials, do not hesitate to contact me at the parish office or by e-mail at phunter@icctampa.org. Paul Hunter
Expenses
Expenses Utility costs ran higher than expected due to a Freon leak impacting the church Air Conditioners which has been fixed. Maintenance expenditures continue to be deferred in response to the shortfall in revenue. Net Income Net Income for three quarters half shows a deficit of almost $25,000. Expense controls particularly on plant maintenance keep us close to a balanced budget. Mortgage Balance The outstanding balance on the loan that was taken out to rebuild the church and replace the roof is $133,648 as of March 31, 2014.

813-885-7861 Fifth Sunday of Easter May 18, 2014 “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” — John 14:6
Empanadas, Yuca y Papas Rellenas, Sándwiches Cubanos.

—Fray Gilberto Cavazos-Glz, OFM, Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co.
