Jesus speaks of heaven in terms of a feast as well. Here, the kingdom of heaven is likened to a king’s wedding feast given for his son. This is a feast of abundance also, with the fattened cattle prepared just so. But many of the people invited don’t want to come, so the king invites anyone who would honor his

son by their presence there. And Paul tells us that whether we live abundantly or in humble circumstances, we can do all things in the Lord who strengthens us. © Copyright, J. S. Paluch Co.

What is the Gift Card Program Known as Scrip? If you’ve been wondering what Scrip is, now is the time to find out. Scrip is a gift card center just like the ones at the check‐out counter in your grocery and drug stores. The only difference is, our gift cards come pre‐loaded with one amount on them. We have a large inventory of gift cards ready for you to purchase Sunday morning at the Scrip table in St. Michael’s Hall. Think about the places you will shop at this week and purchase a gift card to pay with, instead of using your cash or credit card. All purchases benefit Incarnation Catholic School and are used for the operating expenses of our school. We sell Scrip in St. Michael’s Hall every Sunday morning from 8:15 until 11:45 am unless otherwise noted. It only takes a mi‐ nute to stop by and make a purchase. Thank you!

Liturgical Bits & Bytes
EUCHARISTIC CUP Jesus said, “Take and eat” and “Take and drink.” The option of receiving from the cup is once again common practice. Some prefer not receiving from the cup for one reason or another and that is always a choice. It obviously should be your choice if you are sick or not feeling well. However, it is appropriate that every person receiving Eucharist comes to one of the cup ministers and proclaims their faith in the Real Presence of Jesus in cup by a simple bow of the head after the response “Amen” to the minister’s words: “The Blood of Christ.” If you choose not to receive from the cup for some reason, you may stay in line behind the person in front of you in order to express your faith in Jesus’ presence under the form of wine. Reverence is always the first rule. Copyright © 2008 Resource Publications, Inc. All rights reserved.
