I pray these lines find you all doing well and going to Mass as a family for the Holy Family Mass. I am also giving you a late Christmas gift. Many of you have asked to see my artwork, I drew the bulletin cover for this week. (This is written 3 weeks ahead of time, so I certainly HOPE it is my drawing, the Holy Family drawn in blue pencil. Today’s Gospel lets us know that just because a family is Holy does not mean it will be easy. We hear in the Gospel what has to be the scariest scenario for any parent. Mary and Joseph “lost” Jesus for three days. My cousin tells me the story of how she lost her daughter in Disney World for a total of about 5 minutes and they lost their minds wondering what might have happened. Again, Jesus was missing for “3” days, my heart starts to race, and I am not even a parent. AND once again let me apologize for the translation and how it can lead us to an incorrect conclusion; In no way was Jesus ever dis-obedient to His parents. Jesus never sinned, disobedience to parents IS a sin therefore Jesus was not disobedient. I pray that all of you experience a wonderful family life. I could not have asked for better parents and treasure the memories I had with them while they were here, and I know that I will see them again once it is my time to pass. You that still have your parents with you – treasure them for you would not be reading this if not for them! God Bless You! Love, Fr. Mike

RCIA Interested in Becoming Catholic? Is God calling you? Are you looking to deepen your relationship with Jesus and be part of His Church? RCIA – Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is the process of initiation by which individuals are fully received into the Catholic Church through the reception of Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Eucharist or Communion. This process begins September 12th. If you, or anyone you may know, are interested in becoming Catholic or simply have questions regarding the Catholic faith, please contact Deacon Matt Shirina at 813-884-3624 or you can email him at dff@icctampa.org

Dear Parishioners, The celebration of the Eucharist is the center of the entire Christian life both for the Church universally and for the local congregation of the Church. All the other sacraments, all the ministries of the Church, and the works of the apostolate are united with the Eucharist and are directed towards it. The Holy Eucharist contains the entire spiritual treasures of the Church, that is, Christ Himself, our Passover and living bread. Therefore, veneration and adoration which is due to God himself, has always been customary in the Catholic Church. We will be adding an additional opportunity for Exposition of the Holy Eucharist. Besides First Friday after Mass we will now be having Eucharist Adoration on Monday evening between 7 and 8 PM and will be conducted by the Deacons of Incarnation Parish. Please come and spend some time with Our Lord in silence. Blessings, Deacon Jim

THE HOLY FAMILY OF JESUS, MARY & JOSEPH

DECEMBER 26, 2021

Visiten www.usccb.org/nationalcollections, y hagan clic en “How to Give” bajo “Resources”.
