I pray these lines find all doing well. Things are great here; the grounds of the church have been improving. This weekend there was another two-day gathering of workers, my problem is that I am writing this the Monday before, and so have no idea how it looks or how it went. What is very unfortunate is that so few people doing so much work. I cannot begin to Thank those who have come out and worked so hard, generally the people who were there the first day of the project have been there every time, they are all very hard workers. I am now sharing too much but an amount of them are over 60 and a few in their 70s, in the heat, doing tough work for 3hrs – one of my side jobs during this time is praying God maintains their health!!! Last weekend we also had an Incarnation dinner dance which was OUTSTANDING!! In my three years here, I have never seen anything as wonderful, the decorations, the entertainment and the food as well as the feel of the night was really amazing. Please know that I realize we have had some great events which were very well done but remember that a major portion of my time here has been during the pandemic, this being the case – so many events have not been able to happen. Bottom line, Angie Cruz and all who helped to make that night happen are to be commended, it was a wonderful night. Today’s Gospel reminds us to be ready because we know not the day nor the hour. There are two specific events tied to our readiness. I pray I am not giving bad news to anyone in reminding us that at some point we are going to change addresses in a major way – now we live here on earth, but it is how we live that determines our next residence and so we need to be prepared for this. We have to prepare now because – simply put, not one of us is promised that we will be here tomorrow. Our life will be over in an instant and our desire I’m sure is that we want to look back and be able to say – “mine was a life well lived, I wouldn’t change a thing!” If we are not there yet, then we need to do what we can to get there. The second event concerning our readiness is the reminder of what we state at Mass as part of the mystery of faith - that “Christ will come again!” Jesus is returning and we do not know when. He could quite possibly arrive as you read this. The thing is, once He does, the whistle is blown – game over, there are no do overs or extensions given to “clean up” our messes. Besides, being ready is a lot easier whereas living stressed makes us lose our hair – and who wants that? LOL God Bless Your Week! Love, Fr. Mike

Do YOU know THE WORD??? We all should … because it is God’s love story to us. Incarnation currently has several bible studies offered in both English and Spanish. But we need much more! And to do this, we need leaders or facilitators to lead these bible studies, whether here or through zoom. We have the study videos and discussion questions, so one doesn’t have to be a bible scholar to lead, and we will train you. So we will have a meeting in St John’s room on Wednesday August 17th where we will show you everything you need to share HIS WORD. Any questions, please contact Deacon Matt.
Catechists Needed! Registration has begun for Faith Formation classes, and we are asking for those that may teach now or have taught in the past to contact the Faith Formation Office if they would like to be a catechist. We have been blessed with an amazing Group of catechists, but we have a few, who after many dedicated years have retired from this part of their stewardship. With that in mind we do need some catechist and assistant catechist. If you feel God is calling you to help pass on our Faith to the children and youth of our Parish, please contact Deacon Matt or Judy Licari at (813) 884-3624 and see where your gifts and talents can be used.

INCARNATION CATHOLIC CHURCH is looking for a few good men and women to help out at the holy altar of God by being Altar Servers. If you were one in years past or maybe never have been but always wanted to … well now’s your chance. We are NOT looking to replace our youth/teens as they are always welcome and encourage to participate as servers. However, there are some masses with no servers present and we would like to fill those vacancies. Training will be held in the near future. Night Bible Study Group Unpack the Mysteries of Revelation
Perhaps no book of the Bible fascinates people more than Revelation. Yet relatively few people have studied it, especially from a Catholic perspective. Dear Parishioners, The celebration of the Eucharist is the center of the entire Christian life both for the Church universally and for the local congregation of the Church. All the other sacraments, all the ministries of the Church, and the works of the apostolate are united with the Eucharist and are directed towards it. The Holy Eucharist contains the entire spiritual treasures of the Church, that is, Christ Himself, our Passover and living bread. Therefore, veneration and adoration which is due to God himself, has always been customary in the Catholic Church. Besides First Friday after Mass we will now be having Eucharist Adoration on Monday evening between 7 and 8 PM and will be conducted by the Deacons of Incarnation Parish. Thanks to the generous support from our parish, we have assisted, from February to June, 71 households consisting of 169 people in our community with rent, utilities, food and other expenses. And we have been able to help them solely because of your generosity. The food pantry, located in what was previously the chapel, is now open two days a month on the fourth Wednesday and Saturday from 10am to noon for those who reside in the 33614, 33615, and 33635 zip codes. Those in need may also call 813-421-2201 for an appointment. We appreciate your continued support with food and monetary donations every third Sunday of the month. If you are interested in learning more about our organization, we welcome you to join us at our monthly meetings every third Wednesday of the month at 6:30 in the pantry. Y hemos podido ayudarlos únicamente gracias a su generosidad. Registration for Faith Formation classes and Sacramental Preparation has begun in the Faith Formation OfÞce and is from 9am until 3pm, Monday – Thursday. NINETEENTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME Rezo para que estas líneas encuentren que todo va bien. Las cosas están muy bien aquí, los terrenos de la iglesia han ido mejorando. Este fin de semana hubo otra reunión de voluntarios trabajadores por dos días, mi problema es que estoy escribiendo esto el lunes anterior, por lo que no tengo idea de cómo se ve o cómo fue. Lo que sí es lamentable es que tan pocas personas hagan tanto trabajo. No hay palabras suficientes de agradecimiento a quienes se han hecho presente a trabajar tan duro, generalmente las personas que estuvieron el primer día del proyecto han estado allí en todas las ocasiones, todos son muy trabajadores. Quizás estoy compartiendo demasiado, pero varios de ellos tienen más de 60 años y algunos tienen 70 años, en el calor, haciendo un trabajo duro durante 3 horas. ¡Uno de mis trabajos secundarios durante este tiempo es orar para que Dios mantenga su salud! ¡El fin de semana pasado también tuvimos una cena con baile que fue EXCEPCIONAL!! En mis tres años aquí nunca había visto nada tan maravilloso, la decoración, el entretenimiento y la comida, el ambiente, fue realmente increíble. Tengamos en cuenta que hemos tenido algunos grandes eventos que estuvieron muy bien hechos, pero recuerden que la mayor parte de mi tiempo aquí ha sido durante la pandemia, siendo este el caso, muchos eventos no han podido suceder. En pocas palabras, Angie Cruz y todos los que ayudaron a que esa noche fuera posible son dignos de elogio, fue una noche maravillosa. El Evangelio de hoy nos recuerda que estemos preparados porque no sabemos el día ni la hora. Hay dos eventos específicos vinculados a nuestra preparación. Ruego no estar dando malas noticias a nadie al recordarnos que en algún momento vamos a cambiar de domicilio de manera importante: ahora vivimos aquí en la tierra, pero es la forma en que vivimos lo que determina nuestra próxima residencia, por lo que hay que estar preparados para esto. Tenemos que prepararnos ahora porque, en pocas palabras, a ninguno de nosotros se nos promete que estaremos aquí mañana. Nuestra vida terminará en un instante y nuestro deseo, estoy seguro, es que queremos mirar hacia atrás y poder decir: "la mía fue una vida bien vivida, ¡no cambiaría nada!" Si aún no hemos llegado allí, entonces tenemos que hacer lo que podamos para llegar allí. El segundo evento relacionado con nuestra preparación es el recordatorio de lo que declaramos en la Misa como parte del misterio de la fe: que "¡Cristo vendrá de nuevo!" Jesús regresa y no sabemos cuándo. La cuestión es que, una vez que Él lo hace, suena el silbato: se acabó el juego, no se dan repeticiones ni extensiones para "limpiar" nuestros líos. Además, estar listos es mucho más fácil, mientras que vivir estresado nos hace perder el cabello, ¿y quién quiere eso? JAJAJA Dios bendiga tu semana. Con amor, Padre Mike
