Pumpkin Coffee is Back, I could not be happier!!!!! This weekend we (the priests) are giving you a wonderful gift, we are not preaching – this weekend we all hear from the Deacons. It really is wonderful when the Deacons preach because we priests get spiritually fed. Don’t get me wrong, I know you love our homilies LOL, but preachers all have a different perspective, the Spirit works differently within each of us, so we as priests get to hear a homily instead of preparing one, it’s a wonderful change, and the Deacons all do a great job!
Today’s Gospel really speaks of humility. I want to tackle this subject sideways. It is not so much about being humble but about having pride in who you are and respecting everyone else around you. So many people gauge their lives in so many different ways and on so many different levels. Some by the jobs they possess, others by the number of children in their family, the money that they have, the property they possess and so many other ways depending on what they hold to be most(Reverentlyimportant. of course) - Here is where tackling the Gospel sideways comes in –each of us, every single one of us should see ourselves first and foremost as a child of God. In this way there is nobody who is above us as well as nobody who is below us. Each of us are a unique, individual reflection of God – one single little facet of the diamond which reflect a small portion of the glory of God! All worthy of our time and our love. To love and respect them is to pay honor to our Heavenly Father.

4 Society of St. Vincent de Paul –Incarnation Conference Thanks to the generous support from our parish, we have assisted, from February to midAugust, 99 households consisting of 238 people in our community with rent, utilities, food, and other expenses. And we have been able to help them solely because of your generosity. The food pantry, located in what was previously the chapel, is now open two days a month on the fourth Wednesday and Saturday from 10am to noon for those who reside in the 33614, 33615, 33634 and 33635 zip codes. Those in need may also call 813-421-2201 for an appointment. We appreciate your continued support with food and monetary donations every third Sunday of the month. If you are interested in learning more about our organization, we welcome you to join us at our monthly meetings every third Wednesday of the month at 6:30 in the room at the back of the church. Registration has begun for Faith Formation classes, and we are asking for those that may teach now or have taught in the past to contact the Faith Formation Office if they would like to be a catechist. We have been blessed with an amazing Group of catechists, but we have a few, who after many dedicated years have retired from this part of their stewardship. With that in mind we do need some catechist and assistant catechist. INCARNATION CATHOLIC CHURCH is looking for a few good men and women to help out at the holy altar of God by being Altar Servers. If you were one in years past or maybe never have been but always wanted to … well now’s your chance. We are NOT looking to replace our youth/teens as they are always welcome and encourage to participate as servers. Rezo que todos se encuentren bien. Todo está bien aquí en la base de operaciones. Ya es temporada para Café de Calabaza, no podría estar más feliz!!!!! Este fin de semana nosotros (los sacerdotes) les estamos dando un maravilloso regalo, no estamos predicando – este fin de semana todos escuchamos de los Diáconos. Realmente es maravilloso cuando los diáconos predican porque los sacerdotes nos alimentamos espiritualmente. No me malinterpreten, sé que aman nuestras homilías LOL, pero todos los predicadores tienen una perspectiva diferente, el Espíritu trabaja de manera diferente dentro de cada uno de nosotros, por lo que nosotros, como sacerdotes, escuchamos una homilía en lugar de preparar una, es un cambio maravilloso. , y todos los diáconos hacen un gran trabajo. El Evangelio de hoy habla realmente de humildad. No se trata tanto de ser humilde sino de estar orgulloso de quién eres y respetar a todos los que te rodean. Tantas personas miden sus vidas de tantas maneras diferentes y en tantos niveles diferentes. Unos por los trabajos que tienen, otros por la cantidad de hijos en su familia, el dinero que tienen, las propiedades que poseen y tantas otras formas dependiendo de lo que consideren más importante.(Con reverencia, por supuesto) Cada uno de nosotros, cada uno de nosotros debería verse ante todo como un hijo de Dios. De esta manera no hay nadie que esté por encima de nosotros ni tampoco nadie que esté por debajo de nosotros. Cada uno de nosotros es un reflejo único e individual de Dios: ¡una pequeña faceta del diamante que refleja una pequeña porción de la gloria de Dios! Todo digno de nuestro tiempo y nuestro amor.
