I pray these lines find all doing well. All is in full swing once again at the start of another school year, the parish office also gets a lot busier. I pray that all had a good, relaxing summer. Our Gospel today starts out pretty rough, actually – totally brutal, “If anyone comes after me without hating his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple.” If you are like me you are saying to yourself – this does not sound like Jesus, however, placed in context with an explanation it is not as brutal.
What is being spoken in the Gospel that even if our parents do not believe in Jesus, we need to choose Jesus and lose favor in the family. If other loved ones do not follow Jesus, we cannot follow them in their beliefs or rather – dis-beliefs. Jesus has to be number one, above everybody and everything else. Today’s Gospel is ultimately explained and can be broken down into priorities. If our priorities are not in the correct order, then our life is “out of sorts.” Allow me to present the correct order and explain the reasons. God is first, the spouse is second, the children are third followed by extended family and friends. If your priorities are not in this order, then there is a good chance things may not be going smoothly in your life. One of the biggest problems among families is placing the children above the spouse – this is never supposed to happen and eventually will damage relationships – please don’t get me wrong, the children need more time than the spouse, but time and importance are not the same thing.
God, and God alone has to take the number one spot in this hierarchy. He created you through your parents, He created your spouse. He gave you your children. Every single thing in our life is a gift from God. Love the giver more than the gifts! God Bless You! Love, Fr. Mike A MESSAGE TO OUR ON-LINE GIVERS

The next installment will run as scheduled unless you have stopped the recurring gift manually. It is not the policy of ParishSoft nor is it the wish of Incarnation Church to rerun any past declined payments due to both security reasons and the effect such action might have on your checking account or credit card. The Catholic Church celebrates three holy angels of God on September 29th, the Feast of the Archangels. The word angel means “messenger,” and angels are known for delivering messages from God to his people. That’s why St. Gabriel the Archangel is the patron of Catholic communicators and broadcasters, including media ministries of the Diocese of St. Petersburg that help us stay connected to our faith. These ministries share messages about the hope that is found in Jesus Christ. That’s why Bishop Gregory Parkes is asking parishes to set aside Sunday, September 25th, 2022, as Diocesan Media Day. The purpose of Diocesan Media Day is to raise awareness for the mission of diocesan media ministries and to invite parishioners to listen to Spirit FM 90.5 and subscribe to receive a free e-newsletter om www.GulfCoastCatholic.org.

Prayer for Protection against Storms & Hurricanes
Thanks to the generous support from our parish, we have assisted, from February to midAugust, 99 households consisting of 238 people in our community with rent, utilities, food, and other expenses. And we have been able to help them solely because of your generosity. The food pantry, located in what was previously the chapel, is now open two days a month on the fourth Wednesday and Saturday from 10am to noon for those who reside in the 33614, 33615, 33634 and 33635 zip codes. Those in need may also call 813-421-2201 for an appointment. We appreciate your continued support with food and monetary donations every third Sunday of the month. If you are interested in learning more about our organization, we welcome you to join us at our monthly meetings every third Wednesday of the month at 6:30 in the room at the back of the church. Again, thank you for your generous support and God bless you.

Catechists Needed!
Registration has begun for Faith Formation classes, and we are asking for those that may teach now or have taught in the past to contact the Faith Formation Office if they would like to be a catechist. We have been blessed with an amazing Group of catechists, but we have a few, who after many dedicated years have retired from this part of their stewardship. With that in mind we do need some catechist and assistant catechist. If you feel God is calling you to help pass on our Faith to the children and youth of our Parish, please contact Deacon Matt or Judy Licari at (813) 884-3624 and see where your gifts and talents can be used.
We pray the Rosary of Intercession every Thursday after the 7am Mass.

Perhaps no book of the Bible fascinates people more than Revelation. Yet relatively few people have studied it, especially from a Catholic perspective. The Incarnation 7-9PM Tuesday Night Bible Study Group which meets online on Zoom, will be studying the book of Revelation starting September 6, 2022.
Revelation: The Kingdom Yet to Come is an intriguing eleven-session study program from Ascension Press that shows how we, the Church established by Christ on earth, are intimately connected with the kingdom of heaven. In this study, presenter Jeff Cavins pulls back the veil on the rich symbolism present in Revelation. Discover what the mysterious figures and images of Revelation mean and see how Revelation is more than an apocalyptic vision of the “end times.” Explore the Church’s teaching on the second coming of Christ and the Last Judgment. Understand how God, the Divine Bridegroom, and the Church, his spotless bride, enter into a heavenly, holy, and mystical marriage every time we celebrate Mass. To join this study, contact Donna Burch at (813) 541-8506 with your name, email address, and phone number, then order your program package directly from AscensionPress.com. Click on bible studies, Revelation: The Kingdom Yet To Come, to order your individual study program package. The cost is $29.95 plus postage for a Workbook, Online Video Access for one year, and an Online Workbook. You will need to read the Program Introduction prior to the first meeting, and it is advisable to also watch the online talk related to the Introduction. You will be invited by email just prior to 7PM on September 6 to join the first study group session. Each following session will also have homework, which will prepare you to participate in discussions.
You are invited to join the Wednesday Morning Bible Study Group as we start this very interesting and informative 24 session program. Whether you are new to Bible study or have been reading and studying the Bible for years, you will find this a very worthwhile program. We will begin meeting on Wednesday, September 21 from 9-10:45am in an online format using Zoom. Presenter Jeff Cavin’s will show us via video presentations how 14 of the Bible’s narrative books tell the Biblical story from beginning to end and will give us the keys to understanding the amazing story woven throughout Scripture. We will learn the major people, places, and events of the Bible and discover how they all come together to reveal the remarkable story of our Faith. For more information or to sign up for this study, please contact Nancy Militello at 813-205-0329 with your name, phone number and email address. Material cost is $37.95 plus postage for a workbook, timeline chart, and one-year access to the study videos. In order to fully benefit from the study and participate in our weekly discussions, you will need to prepare by reading selected portions of Scripture and reviewing study questions from your workbook each week.

8 Principal Ms. Alina Lopez www.icstampa.org813-884-4502 23rd SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME SEPTEMBER 04, 2022
Él te dio a tus hijos.
