I pray these lines find all doing well and staying dry – as I write this is raining like crazy which ends up being really great for all the new plants we have around the Church.
We hear today all about not being able to serve two masters, we hear about wealth, about being prudent and trustworthy. If you have been reading all my articles (you are truly a saint) I am sure you are noticing a trend. All of these qualities mentioned come down to having our priorities in check.
The Lord has amazing plans for each and every one of us. Each and every one of us have specific gifts and talents that we are meant to share and utilize for the ultimate betterment of the world. In doing this we are being good stewards, making the most out of what we have been given. An example would be that God has given me a bit of a singing voice and he expects me to use it whenever I can – luckily, I get to share it by singing Mass parts. And just think – how sad and tragic would it be if I did not share jokes with you weekly – some gifts are painful. LOL
Bottom line, it states in another part of Scripture – Eye has not seen, and ear has not heard what God has ready for those who love Him. One translation of this is that Heaven is going to be absolutely and infinitely better than we can ever imagine. This is not the reason for us to do our best BUT, knowing that we are loved by our Creator, knowing He cares for us, supports us and wants only what is best for us, should make us want to live our lives to the fullest and be the best YOU the world will ever experience! Have a great week, Love, Fr. Mike

SAVE THE DATE SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 25TH
Why is Priesthood Sunday important?
Catholics are invited to observe Vatican-backed worldwide events, namely, World Day of Prayer for Vocations and World Day for Consecrated Life. In the United States, we also have National Vocation Awareness Week and National Catholic Sisters Week. Priesthood Sunday, however, specifically honors priests, without whom the Mass could not be offered and Sacraments could not be celebrated.
HOMELESS LUNCHEON AT INCARNATION CHURCH EVERY MONTH
WE ARE HAVING A HOMELESS LUNCHEON EVERY MONTH AT INCARNATION CHURCH, AND THE HOMELESS ARE IN GREAT NEED OF SOCKS AND TOILETRIES.

INCARNATION CATHOLIC CHURCH is looking for a few good men and women to help out at the holy altar of God by being Altar Servers. If you were one in years past or maybe never have been but always wanted to … well now’s your chance. We are NOT looking to replace our youth/teens as they are always welcome and encourage to participate as servers. However, there are some masses with no servers present and we would like to fill those vacancies. Training will be held in the near future. So, if you feel the call to participate more in the mass by being an Altar Server, please contact deacon Matt at 813-884-3624 or email at dff@icctampa.org.

25th SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME SEPTEMBER 18, 2022
Diocesan Media Day is set for September 25th
The Catholic Church celebrates three holy angels of God on September 29th, the Feast of the Archangels. The word angel means “messenger,” and angels are known for delivering messages from God to his people. That’s why St. Gabriel the Archangel is the patron of Catholic communicators and broadcasters, including media ministries of the Diocese of St. Petersburg that help us stay connected to our faith. These ministries share messages about the hope that is found in Jesus Christ. That’s why Bishop Gregory Parkes is asking parishes to set aside Sunday, September 25th, 2022, as Diocesan Media Day. The purpose of Diocesan Media Day is to raise awareness for the mission of diocesan media ministries and to invite parishioners to listen to Spirit FM 90.5 and subscribe to receive a free e-newsletter om www.GulfCoastCatholic.org.
