I pray these lines find all doing well, I cannot believe we are already into the second week of Advent, the older I grow the faster time truly goes. I’m hoping that by now your shopping is at least halfway done because Christmas is a blink away.

We hear today about one of the greatest men who ever lived –John the Baptist. Everything about John’s life was contrary to the ways of the world and what is interesting to remember is that John came from a financially well-off family.

What we hear of him is that he lives in the wilderness, he eats bugs and honey, he has unofficially renounced all the trappings of society. His entire life is centrally focused on his relationship with the Lord and carrying out HIS will.

How many of us long to blend into society? For the most part people do not want to draw attention to themselves, they do not want to make waves. People will rarely make statements that go against the flow. John is a man who is speaking what the Lord is calling him to say regardless of how it is taken. He is speaking the truth.

We also know and love our faith but how many of us will speak out and boldly proclaim our faith? In some of our circles it is easy but in others it can be very unnerving. We need only look to John for a great example and just think – we can still eat and wear whatever we want, no camel hair required! Happy Advent, Maranatha (Come Lord Jesus) Love, Fr. Mike

All Mass intentions may be scheduled at our Parish Office, Monday - Friday, 9am - 4pm. Unfortunately, due to over 50 unpaid Masses we are unable to accept phone requests. We apologize for any inconvenience. If you are unable to come in, you may send a check with a date request, name, intention, and a contact number (Please print). We will be happy to accommodate the request if the date is available. If requesting more than 3 Masses at a time, please have a list prepared with printed names with intentions. You can offer a Mass for a deceased loved one, a birthday, anniversary, for healing or in thanksgiving for prayers answered. Masses may only be requested for one particular person a maximum of 3 times per year. The donation is $20.00 per Mass payable at time of request.

Todas las intenciones de Misa se pueden programar en nuestra Oficina Parroquial, de lunes a viernes, de 9pm a 4pm. Desafortunadamente, debido a más de 50 misas no pagadas, no podemos aceptar solicitudes telefónicas. Nos disculpamos por cualquier inconveniente. Si no puede venir, puede enviar un cheque con una solicitud de fecha, nombre, intención y un número de contacto (letra de imprenta). Estaremos encantados de darle la fecha si la fecha está disponible. Si solicita más de 3 misas a la vez, tenga una lista preparada con nombres impresos con intenciones. Puede ofrecer una Misa por un ser querido fallecido, un cumpleaños, un aniversario, por sanación o en acción de gracias por las oraciones contestadas. WE ARE HAVING A HOMELESS LUNCHEON EVERY MONTH AT INCARNATION CHURCH, AND THE HOMELESS ARE IN GREAT NEED OF SOCKS AND TOILETRIES.

Society of St. Vincent de Paul –Incarnation Conference

Thanks to the generous support from our parish, we have assisted, from February to mid-August, 99 households consisting of 238 people in our community with rent, utilities, food, and other expenses. And we have been able to help them solely because of your generosity. The food pantry, located in what was previously the chapel, is now open two days a month on the fourth Wednesday and Saturday from 10am to noon for those who reside in the 33614, 33615, 33634 and 33635 zip codes. Those in need may also call 813-421-2201 for an appointment. We appreciate your continued support with food and monetary donations every third Sunday of the month. If you are interested in learning more about our organization, we welcome you to join us at our monthly meetings every third Wednesday of the month at 6:30 at the back of the church across from Grotto with the blessed Mother. La Sociedad de San Vicente de Paul –Conferencia de la Iglesia de Encarnación

Gracias al generoso apoyo de nuestra parroquia, hemos ayudado, desde febrero hasta mediados de agosto, a 99 hogares que consisten en 238 personas en nuestra comunidad con alquiler, servicios públicos, alimentos y otros gastos. Y hemos podido ayudarlos únicamente gracias a su generosidad. La despensa de alimentos, ubicada en lo que antes era la capilla, ahora está abierta dos días al mes el cuarto miércoles y sábado de 10 am a mediodía para aquellos que residen en los códigos postales 33614, 33615, 33634 y 33635. Los necesitados también pueden llamar al 813-421-2201 para una cita. Agradecemos su continuo apoyo con donaciones de alimentos y dinero cada tercer domingo del mes. Si está interesado en obtener más información sobre nuestra organización, le invitamos a unirse a nosotros en nuestras reuniones mensuales cada tercer miércoles del mes a las 6:30 en la sala en la parte trasera de la iglesia frente a la Gruta con la Santísima Madre. Registration for Faith Formation has ended for 2022/2023 year. We will always take children into our classes, however if they are in the two-year preparation for a sacrament then that will begin August of 2023. When registering, Please bring a copy of your child’s Baptismal certificate and, if completed, their First Holy Communion certificate with you.

The faith formation office is open Monday - Thursday from 9am - 4pm.and closed on Fridays, if you have any questions. You can reach out to Deacon Matt or Miss Judy in the Faith Formation Office at 813-884-3624 or email Judy at reled@icctampa.org.

We are always in need of Catechist for Faith Formation. Please let us know if you are interested. Teens in need of service hours may also volunteer to help Miss Judy and/or in the classrooms on Sunday as well. You may speak with Miss Judy to sign up.

La inscripción para la Formación en la Fe ha finalizado para el año 2022/2023. Sin embargo, siempre traeremos niños a nuestras clases, si están en preparación de dos años para un sacramento, que comenzará en agosto de 2023. ARMONÍA

¿Has conocido alguna vez un momento en el que, sólo por un breve instante, has sentido que todo estaba bien en el mundo? Es precisamente un momento así, que se extiende hasta la eternidad, el que describe el escritor de Isaías en la primera lectura de hoy: la perfección de todo, centrada en el espíritu de Dios, donde reinan el conocimiento, la justicia y el asombro ante la presencia de Dios. En ese paraíso, todos ven y piensan en armonía, como describe san Pablo en su carta a los Romanos. Incluso los animales con una animosidad natural entre ellos coexisten pacíficamente. Juan el Bautista comprendió que esas relaciones armoniosas no se producen sin más. Son el fruto de vivir en una relación correcta con Dios y con los demás.
