Guys isn't it crazy we ' ve already been back for over a month. My mind still can't comprehend that, but WOO! There's a lot of new members, more service events are coming up, and RTC! You guys have no idea how excited I am for RTC! I hope you guys choose to attend because it is will be so much fun and we ' re going to win that spirit stick this year! I also hope you guys can also make it to the many service events we have coming up such as the Greek Food Fest and St Jude Walk These events are always fun, can give you some new experiences, and sometimes you can get free food and shirts which is always a plus. Going with friends always makes it better too, not to mention the serving your community and helping part of the experience
I do want to talk about something else though: the difference between the self-report form, the articles form, and the visuals form. Some members have been confusing them which is completely fine but does require some clarifiations so that we can correctly count your hours
The Self-Report form is where you submit your hours for an event you attended or for service opportunities such as BeanBeanBean and FreeRice. For this you must attach a photo verifying that you were at the event, and if you forgot to do that you can just contact our secretary, Olivia Nguyen, to get that sorted out
The articles form is where you submit a few sentences to a short paragraph about what the event was, what you did, and what you enjoyed about it You don't have to be verbose in these, but I would love details. Tell me something unique to your experience at the service event.
Now, the visuals form is pretty simple Visuals are pictures of the event that show actions and the event itself. Group pictures and selfies are great as long as you include the event as well. For visuals, the MORE the MERRIER Take as many pictures as you can and resubmit the form as many times as you need Articles and visuals are the easiest and fastest way to earn hours if you attend service events.
You can even submit these for DCMs, fundraisers, and events such as RTC and FRS. All three of these forms, if you didn't already know, are located in our club link tree (in the insta bio) I hope this cleared things out Always feel free to contact any of our board members if you have any questions or concerns either on Remind, on the DOKC insta, or at our general meetings. Don't worry, we don't bite ;P Well that's all I had to say Thanks for reading Keyuties and have a wonderful month!

Fall Rally South or FRS is where thousands of Key Clubbers from the California-Nevada-Hawaii District gather at Six Flags Magic Mountain for fun and amazing spirit competitions. You get to ride roller coasters with fellow Key Clubbers, make long lasting connections, and support the Pediatric Trauma Program (PTP). Fall Rally is a blast. Walking around the park there’s a see of Key Clubs decked out with spirit gear, tutus, spirit sticks, and more. Be ready to be asked “How do you feel?” at any moment.

Thank you to everybody who joined us at our first meeting of the school year! This meeting we played a Step on the Line icebreaker, introduced our board members, and provided more insight about the club. Our former president, Stephanie Mallari, also came to support us at our first meeting! It was great to see so many new and old members and in such a large group. I am excited to get to know all of you and make some fun memories!
We were so happy to see so many of you guys attend our first fundraiser for the term! We had a Share Tea Boba fundraiser in August where 10% of the proceeds went to Maui fire victims and the other 10% went to our club! Our amazing treasurer Catherine Nguyen works hard to organize and come up with amazing fundraisers to support our members and our Key Club. Look forward to many more funsraisers to come! (P.S. you can submit articles and visuals for fundraisers too :))
“This DCM was a joint DCM so it was really nice to get to meet all the different clubs and school. I was in the soulmate icebreaker and it was fun to find my soulmate. Of course we went over important key club information and things going on in the division. DCM’s are really fun and I definitely recommend it!”

“The August DCM was a lot of fun. It was my first time going and I learned some new things. I learned a lot about the division as a whole and about a lot more things that go on worldwide. I also made some new friends from different schools in our district. Overall, the DCM was a great learning experience as well as a great experience to meet new people and try new things.”
Kaelynn Coller | 10“This August DCM, all of the Region 5 Key Clubs attended. There was a PIE-TP fundraiser with all of the LTGs where we got to donate money to pie the LTGs in the face. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to pie anyone because they ran out of cool-whip by the time we got to the front of the line. I also got to talk with other editors from other Key Clubs. I will always recommend going to DCMs because you get to learn new things about Key Club, connect with other officers/members, and have fun with the icebreakers and service events they have.”
“The August DCM was super fun! I am super glad I went and got to meet and bond with the other clubs in the region. Also, the ice breaker they chose was super fun as well and creative! I will definitely be going to more DCMs in the future.”
Trischelle Molina | 10It went pretty smooth! I was also watching other members do their posters and they were really cute. Me, Olivia, and Kaelynn worked on our poster together for football. Some of the other posters consisted of football as well or volleyball, HOCO, and soccer.
The event was really fun.We just made poster boards for the football games and just me and my group wrote “Who do you know better than DO”.It was really cute fun event overall .
It went well it was very fun and it was a great experience. We got to make posters for sport events and homecoming.
Kayla Lee |10 Ruby Covarrubias | 10The Poster painting was so much fun. We were able to work with partners and collaborate to create fun and cute posters for sports games. I think it was a very good event and I would definitely do it again. Overall it was a lot of fun and there were so many different creative ideas.
