Cott & Flyer ‘Fashion Brand of the Future’ was a competition brief looking for the concept and delivery of a new, luxury male fashion brand. The brief asks for a response emphasizing on British heritage and the advancements made within textile manufacturing through the industrial revolution.
LOCO Loco is an up and coming club night in Leeds. Heavily focused on progressive house music and experimental beats, the client wanted an aesthetic that specifically reflected the nature of the night and atmosphere. The imagery was initially based on brain patterns and the gird systems that can be constructed from post scan results. However, the end product came through re-working the LOCO letter forms into 3D perspective girds.
Steady Guy Steady Guy is an online shop based in Leeds. They stock male lifestyle clothing, with a loose focus on streetwear and skateboarding brands. This is a proposed re-brand for the company, covering many of the aspects necessary to the online shop, including free special edition prints to accompany orders made during the first week of the website launch.
Cymatics Cymatics is a heavily image based brief, it starts to explore the relationship between sound and image through an experimental image making process. Based on research into Chladni patterns, the book is a simple documentation of the process went through to achieve the imagery, how to do it yourself and some basic back-up theory.
Audio Visual Audio Visual is a recurrent brief exploring the relationship between sound and image. Heavily research based the brief was to undertake a series of audio visual experiments, documenting the processes and findings in a highly visual, whilst still informative publication and short motion graphic.
Roaring Typography 80 Years on is a past ISTD brief, heavily focused on research into typography from the 1920’s through 30’s and how it has influenced the design aesthetic of today. The visually engaging publication leads the user on an exploration into type from these periods. The concept behind the book is fairly simple, each section (front/back) is dedicated to each decade.
Typogateaux 2012 Typogateaux, the annual baking competition in which all entrants must submit an edible typographic sweet. The competition is held in the Leeds College of Art Graphic Design department, gathering a good croud year on year. The concept behind the promotional material this year was the deconstruction of the events name accompanied by deconstructed wafers.
Typogateaux
