General Manager Dear Beauty Consultant, As 2014 comes to its end, I would like us to take this time to look back at this eventful year and give thanks and praise to the Almighty for both blessings and challenges we have received. Queen of Court of Unit Sales

Marita Del Corro: Thrice a Queen Since she started her Mary Kay business in April 2000, Independent Senior Sales Director Marita Del Corro has been pursuing her talent and passion for sales while enriching the lives of women. One of the country’s pioneer Mary Kay Sales Directors, Marita has always pursued excellence and consistently reaped its rewards. She has been a Pink Car achiever four times, a consistent Millionaire’s Club member, and enjoyed Top Sales Director Trips to Europe, Asia, Africa and the United States. This year, she was once again the Queen of the Court of Unit Sales, making it her third time to be crowned since Seminar 2010. Marita describes Mary Kay as the career of a lifetime, full of rewarding opportunities and exceptional values. According to her, “Mary Kay is a company with a good culture, priority and principles. Apart from the great income and recognition, what I value most is the chance to help women become successful; to help them reach their dreams through Mary Kay. I consider myself fulfilled when I’m able to make a woman gain her confidence because Mary Kay did the same to me.” As a leader, Marita is very hands-on. Working with her husband to take care of her unit members, they emphasize customer service, communication, training and recognition. Her goal for her unit is to keep on producing more leaders - Red Jackets, and offspring directors. Her dream is to see her unit share the stage in the next Philippine Seminar. She aspires to be an Independent National Sales Director and to become a Direct Selling Association of the Philippines "Hall of Fame" awardee. Marita’s motivation is her family and her desire to give them the good life she didn’t have. She draws strength from her husband, Ernie, and her three sons – Mark Joseph, Mark Christian and John Ernest.

Ma. Luisa Nohara: Sharing the Dream For Independent Senior Sales Director Ma. Luisa Nohara, her journey with Mary Kay was one of self-discovery and transformation. Once shy and unconfident, she never imagined herself facing a crowd or giving talks.

“Before any physical changes, Mary Kay transformed me from the inside. That’s what I’m most proud of. Now I can face anyone with confidence,” she beams. Malou counts Mary Kay as a true blessing and an answer to her prayers. It gave her direction as well as the chance to be a better wife, mother and daughter of God. Though no stranger to the rewards of the career, Malou considers being Queen of the Court of Sharing as her proudest achievement to date – more than receiving her first Pink Car in 2011 or flying to Dallas in 2012. She never expected to win the award. More than the crown or the prestige, she counts the chance to be an inspiration to her unit members, fellow Beauty Consultants and to share her message as the greatest reward. It also became the means for her family, who witnessed her passion in pursuing her dreams. Truly a Queen of Sharing, she states that her measure of success is not by how many achievements or trips she has earned but rather by how many lives she has enriched and the people she brought on her way up. She says, “When you enrich others, when you help them get their heart’s desire, yours is guaranteed.”

Queen of Court of Personal Sales - Sales Director

Luzminda Ali: Directing Dreams, Enriching Lives Independent Senior Sales Director Luzminda Ali of Mindanao describes herself as a homebody whose favorite thing to do is to cook and spend time with her family. A BSBA Accountancy graduate (cum laude), Luz has been working for the government for nearly 30 years as a Certified Public Accountant. In September 2012, Luz began her Mary Kay business and was able to achieve the Hong Kong trip challenge by November. From then on, Luz just kept on achieving challenge after challenge including the Asia Pacific Red Jacket Rally, Power Up to Bangkok, and the Dallas Catch the Dream Conference. She reached Sales Directorship in February 2013 and became a Senior Sales Director on March 2014. On being a Sales Director, Luz says, “It sets you apart from the rest. A Sales Director has the opportunity and the position to truly influence the lives of other women.” Luz is ecstatic about becoming the 2014 Queen of Court of Personal Sales - Sales Director but at the same time she considers it a humbling experience. “Imagine a very simple and ordinary lady like me can be a Queen” she beams. When asked how she is able to achieve such a feat, she confesses that there is no formula apart from hard work. Luz dreams of enriching even more lives by becoming an Independent National Sales Director. Says Luz, “I want to make all Muslim women beautiful inside and out. So I will reach out to as many women as I can and together work out the fulfilment of their dreams.”

Josephine Uy: The Joy of Selling Independent Beauty Consultant Josephine Uy from Cebu was first introduced to the Mary Kay world April last year. Having a passion for selling, she immediately saw the opportunity as a great chance to pursue her love for sales and interact with different people. She began as a happy customer but her Sales Director saw her potential for selling. Apart from the extra earnings, what struck her most about Mary Kay was the quality products, and the chance to improve herself. Josephine, or Joy, juggles her Mary Kay business with her full-time career as a clinical instructor in their hospital’s Nursing Department. With a seafarer husband who is away for months, a large bulk of family responsibilities also fall on her shoulders. With all of her roles, Joy says she draws from her inner strength and intense drive to reach her goals. “I’m the kind of person who is single-minded about my goals. Once I set my sight on something I want, I really do my best to achieve it. I really believe that if there’s a will, there’s always a way.” Joy certainly proved her words true when she became this year’s Queen of Court of Personal Sales – Beauty Consultant. She attributes her success to her genuine love for people and believes that the direct-selling model of Mary Kay really plays up to her strengths and passion. Her next move is to build her team in 2015 and continue to move up and grow her Mary Kay career. Her biggest dream is to become a top Independent Sales Director. Pushing her toward her goals is her family whose invaluable belief and support motivate her to keep moving forward.

Jeremeh Abante: The Jem of Giving For Independent Senior Sales Director Jeremeh Abante, or Jem, becoming the Go-Give® Awardee for two consecutive quarters was only eclipsed by her being named as the 2014 Annual Go-Give® Awardee. After reading about the prestigious award in Mary Kay Ash’s autobiography, she was inspired to truly live out the philosophy behind it. The Mary Kay opportunity came knocking at a critical time in Jem’s life. After being diagnosed with Gastric Cancer, her father needed a full-time caretaker and the responsibility fell upon Jem’s shoulders. After quitting medical school, she needed a career that would allow her time to care for her father while earning. Says Jem, “I prayed hard to God to guide me in my decisions in looking for a job wherein I could still be a fulltime nurse to my dad. I finally decided to sign up as a Beauty Consultant and until this day, I have never regretted that biggest decision of my life.” A true achiever, Jem became part of the Millionaire’s Club in June 2013. She also achieved trip challenges to Hong Kong, Bangkok, and Dallas in 2012, 2013 and 2014, respectively. As 2014 Go-Give® Awardee, she says, “I am really thankful to God and to my Mary Kay family for this very prestigious award. It is really a great honor for me especially since this award is not based on monetary gain but by how I was able to inspire and give a great impact to my sister Sales Directors, Beauty Consultants and the whole Mary Kay staff. Looking back, I realized that people will always remember how you made them feel.” Always giving a 101% in everything, including her dreams, Jem aspires to be the youngest Independent National Sales Director of Mary Kay Philippines. To be on the right track, she aims to become the youngest Executive Senior Sales Director by 2015. She says, “In order to move up, I need to help my unit members to move up, too. I know God will use me to develop more leaders in my unit and to enrich more people’s lives.”

Olivia Gonzales: The Miracle of Second Chances For Independent Executive Senior Director Olivia Gonzales, Mary Kay became a second chance of sorts. Olivia, or Olive, recounts that her life revolved around work and home. Her Accounting career became her hobby, passion and priority. But, after her first business venture failed, a friend introduced her to the Mary Kay opportunity in 2005. Olive remembers how overwhelmed she felt at first. She didn’t know anything about skin care or makeup. Olive wondered if she still had what it takes to go into this kind of business. Until it dawned on her. “I realized that my bankruptcy might be God’s way of showing that He is opening another door of opportunity for me – an opportunity that will change my life completely,” says Olive. As the Quarter 1 Go-Give® Awardee, Olive can truly say that she has been able to touch lives with her Go-Give® Spirit, “Two words: love and sincerity. Believe me when I say this, the only time you will succeed in life is when you wish that the people around you will succeed too. At the end of the day, that is my secret – I genuinely, sincerely care for the people I work with and those I hope to work with.” Shortly after starting with Mary Kay in 2005, Olive went on to become an Independent Sales Director in a few months and debuted as an Independent Executive Senior Sales Director in 2006. More than selling skin care or cosmetics, she says she is selling a dream, the chance to see the world and prosper both spiritually and financially. “I am discovering miracles in people’s lives. Donabel Virtucio: The Electronic Go-Give® Awardee Apart from enjoying the great business and earning opportunities, Independent Senior Sales Director Donabel Virtucio appreciates the values of Mary Kay. “Mary Kay is really great because it is a company with a heart. The values that you can learn from Mary Kay can be applied not only in business but also in other aspects of life,” says Donabel. She equates winning the Quarter 4 Go-Give® Award to winning the Miss Universe Pageant. For her, the Go-Give® Spirit means doing something for others without expecting anything in return. She had no expectations of winning this most prestigious award. Instead, she says she was only doing what she does best. “I only used my talent in working with computers in order to share Mary Kay ads with my fellow Beauty Consultants. I was surprised to find out how many of them were thankful.” After receiving the award, she describes herself as the Electronic Go-Give® awardee. Donna shares that her secret to success is putting God at the center of her life and having faith. Mary Kay Philippines will take care of the fees for the winner’s first visa application. We strongly encourage early applications by February or March. Penalties and surcharges that arise from late bookings due to the delayed submission of visa and/or passport documents will be shouldered by the winner. • In the event that achievers cannot avail of the trip due to non-issuance of visas for whatever reason, there will be no cash conversion. • Achievers must travel to Dallas, Texas, USA first and take their side trips after. Achievers who opt to take different routes for their side trips after the Dallas education trip will have to book their own plane flights and advance their airfares with the travel agency. Written notice must be submitted to the Company on or before March 1, 2015; otherwise, it will be presumed that the winner is taking the trip on the regular route and the Company will confirm their reservation. Should there be any changes made after on the route, the winner shall shoulder all corresponding booking charges. How did the two of you meet? Maeñuel: My Beauty Consultant happens to be a distant relative. I call her Tita Liberty. Liberty: She is my husband’s niece. have you always wanted to become a model? How did Liberty invite you to be her partner for this contest? What made you agree? Maeñuel: Yes, I've always dreamed of becoming a model since my teenage years. Tita Liberty happened to mention the Dream Beautiful contest to me and I agreed to join because I think this is a great opportunity to pursue my dream of becoming a model and that there is nothing wrong with trying. Liberty: I said to her that I don't have an entry yet and she can be my entry to the competition. We really have no idea that we are able to go this far. What did you feel when you were named as first runners up in the "Dream Beautiful, the Making of a Model" Contest Asia Pacific Grand Finale? Liberty: It was a dream come true for us. We're very thankful to Mary Kay Philippines for this opportunity to compete with other countries and bring honor to our country. Maeñuel: I’m really excited to go to Hong Kong for the finale. I was very ecstatic when they named us as 1st runner-up. I feel grateful and happy that our hardwork has paid off.

How did you prepare for the contest? Maeñuel: I honestly didn't prepare that much. I thought that it was going to be like last year. But it was really different this year. It's definitely bigger and better. Liberty: I brushed up on makeup and styling techniques. The rest, I lifted up to God. Describe your overall experience in the Asia Pacific Grand Finale. Liberty: I discovered I have a hidden talent in makeup transformation. I just enjoyed what I was doing. My experiences in the contest gave me a lot of learnings in making women beautiful. Maeñuel: Being trained by celebrities, meeting all those amazing people from different countries, experiencing the life of a professional model and the friendship that I made with my co-models, beauty consultants and mentors was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Can you give us one modeling tip you learned? Maeñuel: Always believe in yourself. Your personality is your best asset. Can you give us one makeup/styling tip? Liberty: When it comes to applying and blending colors, there’s a process to follow. Keep practicing until you discover your own style. How did the Contest change your outlook in life? Liberty: I became more positive, such as believing in myself and that everything will be possible if you have a dream and you put it into action.
