The Bow Bar is a typical traditional pub with a mahogany gantry loaded with more than 400 whiskies. There is always a core of the popular and familiar, but their philosophy is experimental. Single Casks, various finishes, new releases, requests and recommendations, whims and fancies. As well as the many distillery brands, independent bottlings include Adelphi, Berry Bros, Cadenhead’s, Chieftain’s, Creative Whisky Co, Duncan Taylor and Gordon & MacPhail, James Eadie, Lady of the Glen, Duncan Taylor, Berry Bros, Hart Bros and of course its own single cask bottlings. The staff are enthusiastic about the whole subject and are happy to help you select a whisky to suit your palate. As well as whisky, the pub also offers real ales served from a row of gleaming brass tall founts and a great selection of bottled beers too. Food, however, is limited to lunchtime pies, and its friendly banter means you hardly notice the no music policy.
