The Black Cat is the only independent public house on Rose Street and prides itself on providing a relaxed place for locals and visitors alike to enjoy a hand-picked selection of Scotland’s finest whiskies. Owner Chris Miles is a whisky enthusiast with over 180 malts in his collection and counting! He has passed this enthusiasm and knowledge to his staff who are happy to find you the perfect dram. They stock a large variety of local beers and cask ales, and have all Scottish beers on draught. A small menu of Scottish fayre is served daily from 11.30am and coffee from 11am. The venue has live Scottish folk music session from 9.30pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursday and from 4pm Sundays. Don’t miss the pub quiz on Tuesday 8pm.
